When I first heard about transhumanism I was bit sceptical. I didn't think amputating our arms and legs and replacing them with prosthetics was the way forward. That was just a sci-fi fantasy.
But there's a very real real transhuman movement happening right now, involving body and brain enhancing drugs, and life extension therapies:
Stem cell therapy can fix many injuries most people suffer (especially knees).
HGH + testosterone can stop muscle atrophy, improve physique and restore libido in men. Planning on doing this when I turn 40-50.
Modafinil... well, you'd be retarded not to take it. It improves cognitive functions, memory, focus, libido, strength, stamina and it's cheap as fuck. If there ever was a real life cheat, it's this one.
Nootropics - this is a bit of a minefield because there's a lot of snake oil around, but some stacks do help.
Oxytocin therapy is fairly new and at the moment you can only buy it in nasal spray form which is medically useless, but they're working on things with better absorption.
Water fasts - again, be aware of the broscience, but also be aware of the many clinical life extension studies involving prolonged fasting.
Oh and I forgot to mention the obvious one, there's a bunch of billionaires including Jeff Bezos and Peter Thiel who invested a total of ~8 billion into life extension research.
No interest? Maybe I should post this elsewhere....

Ive read somewhere that the first man who will live a 1000 years is already born.
Adam Ramirez
Ive watched an interview with bill gates the other day and the interviewer asked him what he thinks how the world will be in a 100 years when we are dead. He answered jokingly saying he expects to be alive in a hunred years. I think he was serious.
>Modafinil What's the name of that one chemical that turns into Modafinil once you ingest it?
Ayden Cooper
You're cherry picking. I could easily have that same pictures with any race of your choice. There are institutions in Mexico backed by Mexican millionaires doing the same research.
All those jews advocate a form of transhumanism in which you "upload" your consciousness to some machine or otherwise integrate your brain with a machine. Such a thing is becoming a willful slave.
Chemical drugs for performance enhancement and organic enhancement via genetic engineering, however, is worthwhile.
Levi Phillips
Thanks. I have untreated narcolepsy and this might help. I use kratom right now and it helps, but I tried that one drug similar to Modafinil and I really enjoyed it.
Why not take Armodafinil or just simply Modafinil? Both are easily available and obtainable online.
Benjamin Gomez
fuck you, memeflag shill. this is not cherrypicked. these are the leading proponents of transhumanism, especially ray kurzweil. you're a shill. fuck you.
Samuel Rodriguez
>calling someone a shill for trying to help his friends live longer lives You're so far entrenched in this bubble of conspiracy theories you can't tell day from night. Leave this thread if you have nothing worthwhile to add to the conversation.
Jaxson Baker
I just read that. I don't have any liver problems and i dont drink, kind of bums me that you shouldn't take it with caffeinated drinks though. I love coffee.
I haven't really looked into it in a couple of years, so I don't know what is out there. If Modafinil is available online legally, I would go with that instead of Adrafinil.
Hmmm it does not seem that it is legal according to that website.
Jace Cook
Its possible that the first child that will live forever has already been born. I hope I live to see the day we conquer death.
James Johnson
Why were you skeptical in the first place, also most of the things you mention aren't transhuminist, transhuminist require altering ones body through unnatural means, stem cell, genetic engineering, prosthetic, etc.
Jace Jenkins
Still transhuminism, just a genetic branch
Hudson Williams
Ray Kurzweil takes 150 pills a day that he claims will make him immortal
It makes me wonder if it's possible for someone with an extremely high IQ to be a fucking retard
Half of those are basically useless. He takes minerals, vitamins, and basically everything else that someone should get from nutrition anyway. The rest are extracts like green tea and ginger, in pill form, and products most people into fitness take some of (l-glutamine and BCAA being two popular ones).
If he ate a varied diet and exercised he'd get the same results.
Christopher Carter
Actually it's definitely possible to have extremely high IQs but be socially retarded or completely useless. IQ is not everything but it's a very useful to measure capability.
Also what you have to realise is that most people, physicians included, don't know shit about nutrition. It takes a dietician with a PhD to talk about this stuff meaningfully yet every Instagram slut and gym rat dish out advise based on nothing but anecdotes.
As for input on the topic at hand, whatever nefarious scheme the transhumanists have they better move fast because we're on the verge of generational societal collapse.
New young people do not exist that know how to do electrical infrastructure, plumbing and sewage, healthcare, or frankly even computer programming - EVERY professional or technical industry is dominated by guys between 40 and 60 who can attest that the new young guys are incredibly fucking incompetent to an unprecedented degree. There's a general handwave of "well robots will do it" but robots can't do it right now and we're running out of homo sapiens who can, so your magic panacea robot is not being invented fast enough.
In addition, immigration pressure is actually already depressing median IQs at the national level - France has managed to lose four whole points in the last decade. Good luck engineering the Ubermensch when electricity becomes a forgotten magical artifact whispered about by mongrels around a campfire.
I've thought about this problem before. From what I understand specialisation means that nobody knows how the fuck anything work. Try asking even the best engineer in the world how to build a computer from scratch.
The result of having a highly advanced technological society is that each person is an expert in an extremely narrow domain.
Jaxon Garcia
>is 100% fatal >living longer lives
how do you figure?
Levi Green
Got something that doesn't blame the jews? Shit is mad boring.
Oliver Carter
yes, it absolutely is. my dad has a really high IQ and is a very accomplished engineer, but is retarded about the simplest things.
Justin Moore
>mad boring >mad new york jew detected
Benjamin Foster
>replace entire body with mechanical apparatus excluding the brain, as a brain cannot be replicated and maintain the same memories and synapse connections >brain has to work harder to operate machine body, as it is optimized by 100,000s of years of natural selection only to operate the specific organic human vessel >brain likely deteriorates much more quickly, see encephalopathy >also if access to power and repair components ever became scarce, humans would likely die out, as you cannot force thr planet to reforge materials in a reasonable time, but you can seed livestock to sooner consume
Joshua Bailey
I actually experience a conflicting phenomenon where I hear about some outrage and then am depressed/irritated when the name attached to it is "Goldbergsteinowitzcratz" AGAIN.
Henry Howard
What's fatal? And prove it. Someone might actually take you seriously if you post evidence that isn't based on Jewish conspiracy theories.
Connor Foster
Exactly why is why this is now about drug-based treatment and "organic" therapies (non mechanical)
Kevin Torres
very wrong
It just a shitty way to get (You)s.
Josiah Nguyen
>trying to fix humans' flaws with technology >not just creating flawless humans
Thing is younger kids don't even know basic engineering anymore, next to no one enters stem fields, and those who do were turned away form fields that we need more people in cause of elementary schools thinking they know what jobs are good or nor, look at mechanical engineering, most factories need one and they pay absurd amounts of cash fro them, yet no one goes into factory and mechanical engineering because its a "poor persons" job
Isaiah Campbell
>Silicon Valley startup wants to digitize brains in '100% fatal' process
ok, wannabe new yorker who tries to talk like one.
Sebastian Murphy
Where did I mention anything about brain digitisation? Calm your ass down and realise I'm suggesting fairly well known therapies and intervention.
I'm surprised you don't start whining about Jews when someone recommend you to go to the gym.
Owen Gonzalez
This I am reluctantly in favor of. As long as we still reproduce the way we have been engineered to, then we remain human. Gene therapy and drug enhancements are much more practical than trying to shove a brain stem and nerve endingss into microscopic steel tubes
>lives for 200 years >remains physically fit for 140 years >Really no other changes unless your a soldier >sees pure fag unable to walk at 79 >still claims he is superior
Lincoln Allen
Most of you fail to realize, that "transhumanism" is merely the overarching concept for integration of technology into man himself to move beyond the basic condition imposed upon by nature/biology.
You can attach almost any ideology to transhumanism, because it is only a set of tools by itself.
Perhaps read this nice introductionary article about various types of transhumanism and pay special attention to the idea of combining transhumanism with the ideal of "eudaimonia" as originally coined by Aristotle:
ik that, what sort of faggot actually thinks it is a political system
Josiah Nelson
>Oh you want to extend your life span and cure diseases?Lol iz da joo!!!!
Hunter Wood
> modafinil > cheap you what. that's like the most expensive nootropic you can buy that isn't some kind of snake oil. it works, but shit's expensive and you build up tolerance quickly. cheat code my ass. can only use it every other day or so.
Austin Clark
> giving ppl the opportunity to continue being fuck-ups for an additional 121 years
>said fuck ups have more time too fix themselves >genius will now live for longer allowing them to do more >people can learn more and do more in their lives, even if it is a waste of life Ya thats pretty gay man, im not sure if we should do it
Transhumanism will be hell on death. The Rothschild's will always have the upper hand when they get to use the fancier equipment first.
Nolan Carter
It's £1 per pill here, less than a cup of coffee.
Nolan Brown
Normally humans get wiser with age, and learn from their fuck ups.
Caleb Martinez
How tf did you come to that conclusion, all i said is people have more time to do things, and that Geniuses will live longer, such as Steven hawking, im sure he wouldv'e loved some genetic and technological enhancements. I may not be the smartest person in the world, but at least im not holding humanity back by being afraid of advancements
Robert Gonzalez
None of these are particuraly transhumanist, these are human enhancements and we've been doing that forever. Transhumanism is not about enhancing the human body's capacities, it's about modifying directly the body so it could do a lot more I'm taking bacopa monnieri and creatine, bacopa is shown to be neuroprotective, anti-anxiety and above all it improves noticeably your memory. Unlike others supplements once you've taken bacopa for say 8 weeks the memory gains are permanent. Also the brahmis who consumed that herb a lot for centuries are the highest IQs in the world, could be indicative of its effectiveness
