Why do millenials think socialist countries are so great?

Don't you get taxed 60% over $55,000

Ethnic homogeneity

I love this picture

>$20 minimum wage
>on average 40% taxes = $12 after taxes
>33 hour work week? That's just a blatant lie, everyone works 37

>>on average 40% taxes = $12 after taxes
Minus sales tax, gas tax etc

Danes have a very low homeownership rate and don't own very much in general (just like their socialist siblings Germany and Sweden)

True what the other guy says, it's 37 hours a week

Because some ethnically homogeneous socialist countries ARE great.

this.

everything is great when there are less things to hate each other for.

WRONG FAGGOT

>Denmark is socialist

But is homeownership actually good? The American middle class ties most of their wealth in a single asset that's not very liquid and whose value is determined by outside influences.

Got a better job offer in another state? Sorry you gotta sell your house before moving. Nogs move into your neighborhood? Sorry your home is now worthless and you're poor now.

Norway is even bette

norway has oil you dumb nigger and it sucks

This

Damn I want some of that.

True

LOL you just know the communist side of JT just wanted to disappear that stupid Indian, but he has to keep up appearances for a while longer.

god damn i hate that all the euro niggers are brainwashing the millenials to love socialism. our country is getting worse every year because of it

yeah because they're a bunch of faggots

im happy with my huge canadian property. im definitely gonna fight to keep euro nigger politics out of canada

And living in a shitty apartment that everyone can hear what you say and the landlord having the right to come in whenever they want or lowering the rent so much that section 8 qualifies and then come the real fun. No fucking thanks and I've lived in just about anything.

I lived in denmark for a while and the majority of people i met owned their own house plus a summer house.

I'm not happy

At least you still have value in a home and a place to live

renters can be kick out any time and have their rates increased for no reason

yea, why do you think we call them europoors?

theyre taxed at such high extortion rates youd have to be financially retarded to live in these countries.

>Don't you get taxed 60% over $55,000
If a 60% tax was so economically destructive like the GOP claims, then how are the people in these countries doing so well for themselves? We should consider it and not pay any attention to the right wing echo chamber's flood of disinformation.

Newest rankings has Finland as the happiest place in the world.

Update meme faggot.

>$20 minimum wage
of which you only get to keep $8 because nordic taxes

If that's the case, someone working a 40 hour work week for $55,000 a year is making about $11.50 an hour after taxes

It's not, but it's up there. Finland is #1 this year.

Makes a big difference how your tax money is spent. If it all goes to welfare or shiney new aircraft carriers instead of education then you won't be as happy. Us politicians have a reputation for spending on frivolous and/or illegal things

Love how everytime this gay meme is posted a dane immediately points out that it's bullshit.

If only you knew how bad it really is.

what does that even mean?

>Implying slav subhumans would be able to process oil from the ocean floor

>is home ownership good
yes. It is expensive but worth it. Just don't buy anything near public transportation.

Tax percentage.
At 100.000DKK per year (~$16.500) you'll pay 41.7% in taxes and tarifs.
At 1.000.000DKK you'll pay 60%

I'm wondering how an alternative system to home ownership could be used as a store of wealth. Maybe people could collectively buy REITs akin to timeshares that would entitle them to housing, but also be a diversified asset, so there would be buildings in multiple cities and also a passive income stream.

The problem with home ownership is that people, for better or for worse, tie themselves and their money to a specific location, so it's a high risk. If you had bought a ranch house in 1960 in Palo Alto you would be a millionaire, but if you had bought a house in Detroit in 1960 it wouldn't be worth shit.

What do you mean exactly?
About 49% of the population is living in owned homes.

Houses are good because they increase in value along/at a greater rate/ than inflation... McMansions are garbage shit that needs to be torn down and rebuilt in 5 years but a good european home will last several generations and keep its value

Why don't you and all your faggot buddies move there if this is utopia. Why try to build it here if it already exists? Just move, its simple.

>FREE
>Everything is FREE

The answer is so simple. Just make everything free and then everyone's happy.

Because happiness comes from the state redistributing the wealth of others, didn't you know?

>33 hour work week? That's just a blatant lie, everyone works 37
Just playing the devils advocate here, but the statement is (almost) true if your lunch break is paid.

It's not good that the sales price of housing increases faster than inflation. The utility of a house remains constant over time. When houses increase in value faster than income, then people are stuck with the rent Jew and the ever greater mortgage Jew. People should be able to spend the gains from economic growth on new stuff that makes their lives better instead of just bidding up the price of houses. If housing prices increased with inflation or at a rate below inflation, then people could buy stuff that improves their lives like new cars, stock, or nintendos.

>become rich through capitalism
>adopt socialist policies
>see socialism works haha

>It's not good that the sales price of housing increases faster than inflation.
For poor people maybe

>leaving your community for a job

Costanza.

I earn 84,000 USD. So i would be taxed almost 40% lmao are you fucking serious?

>the state gets more of your paycheck than you do

The best part is that we are raising the second generation of socialists who would rather mooch on the state than provide.
All while we are importing half the third world.

You'd be taxed 53.4%

Such a system can't last. The sooner it collapses the better.

wow. yuropoor memes are real. My employer also pays all of my healthcare, matches a 401k, gives me 4% of my salary in stocks yearly, reimburses me for education (IT certs), and pays my cell phone.

What went wrong danebro?

So happy that it has one of the highest depression and suicide rates in the world
So happy indeed.

whats the problem with taxes if they are being used properly?

Do you think they are?
Of course not.
Don't be gullible.

Even if they are being "used properly" they will still be used for shit you don't like.

Well in my case it goes like this:
I make 360.000DKK/year (~$60.000).
On paper I'd have to pay 50% in taxes BUT $7000/year is exempt from being taxed, plus I'm reimbursed ~$4000/year for gas and transport because of the distance to my work.
I also recieve +15% for my pension plus another 4%.
I don't have to worry about healthcare or education as this is covered by our taxes (that our healthcare and schoolsystem fucking sucks is another story).

37 hour work week*

Oh and those things arent free, we pay a ton of taxes for it.

This. Most people forget sale taxes. I pay 50% in taxes since I make over 100k. I also end up paying 15% on anything I purchase, whether it be services or items, excluding food, and as if ~65% of my paycheck isn't enough, I have to pay property tax, which includes water tax and school taxes.

>33 hour work week
>only gets $12 per hour after taxes
>This is a good thing

I hate liberals.

>pays my cell phone.
100% guaranteed your retard ass needs to take help-desk calls OOWork hours

Attached: 1446230960430.png (1050x903, 1.45M)

No one's stopping you from paying 60% taxes to the IRS. You can give them as much money as you want. Go ahead, do it.

>Mugger takes your wallet at gun point
>Takes half your money
>Says, "Don't worry, this will go to my kids school, health care, and to build roads"

Statist logic.

the only way owning a home is worth it is if i has significant amount of property with it. acres. living in a crammed suburban neighborhood where your neighbor can see and hear everything you do is a terrible idea, and this coming from a person who lived the (((dream))). everything mentioned on this thread about your investment being destroyed because of a trashy neighbor moving in is well founded. or worse, if you have multiple properties near you that are investment houses and rented out. my neighborhood was nice until the gangbanger renters across the street moved in. once that happened, drugs were everywhere, a lady a few houses down was stabbed to death inside her own house, and the general look of the neighborhood went downhill fast. all because of renters. they don't give a shit about the neighborhood. they're not invested in it like you are. you might as well be renting an apartment at that point. not to mention the communistic HOAs that will eat away at your property rights like a fucking cancer.

if you were to own land where your potential neighbor is a significant distance from you, i would say it would be worth it. i sold my house (do you think i made a profit on my investment??) and i've been renting ever since. i'm looking to buy a piece of property far out of the shitty suburban hellhole. i would rather live in a car than move into another crowded shitty suburban area that is painted up to look nice, but is just a awful as any inner city neighborhood.

Nope I'm engineering. I am a virtualization admin basically
