Ahmed Abdoule, 33, who is Somalian, told her she couldn’t be a virgin ‘because you are white’, adding ‘my country would love you’ following the attack.
His victim ‘cried and pleaded’ with him to let her go throughout the attack, Hull Crown Court was told.
She knew Abdoule before the attack in which he took her home and locked the door despite her protests to let her go.
The court heard he ‘jabbed a sharp piece of wood into her stomach’ as he forced her upstairs, and then held the weapon against her throat as he raped her.
Judge Mark Bury told Abdoule: ‘She told you she was a virgin to try and get you to stop. You said to her, “You cannot be, you are white”.

The Mirror, who released the Telford story are actually pretty far left, so it's not a particularly partisan thing (I think the Guardian was the only one who wanted the regulations).
