The difference between americas and our constitution is that the american constituition requires a supermajority in congress+ Plus a supermajority of states to change it, while here it only needs 50% + 1 to change it

the Supreme Court will almost always have a say, although it made more sense when the Supreme Court was the HoL as with Parliamentry sovereignty being what it is, Parliament can always tell it to fuck off. But it's decision will always influence a large amount of MPs and Lords unless parliament is in open rebellion to the SCUK on the matter.
Oh jesus hes not still arguing from last night is he? The UK constitution is basically made up of written statute, plus precedent (the body of case law, binding legal interpretations.). The case part is generally known as unwritten. Problem is its all too easily bent to political purpose, and the ECHR free speech stuff is so ambiguous as to be useless.
