Guys, are council houses bought by the government, given to councils, and then rented at a discount to people on benefits or other first class citizens (single mothers, returning Isis fighters)? Is that how it all works?
So every time you see someone on tv talking about "the government needs to build more houses!" they mean council houses that you can only get through a mystical waiting list? And of course as a male who works I have no chance in a trillion years to benefit from this?

If you can remember a little while back the head of RMT Bob Crow who earnt a tonne of cash also still lived in a council house. Many of them have the keys passed on. What really needs to happen is a wholesale check of who is actually living in these houses and if they still need them or just scamming.
PLUS something that goes under reported and is probably happening today is that many homeless get shelfter during the winter time and then get thrown out on the street and because they have got used to the warmth on inside they die. Many homeless people avoid shelter in the winter to stop this happening.
Not least is the fact that a few dead poor people in the UK would help. I would remove winter fuel payments as well and cull the elderly.

I belive that wanting 100% employment is fucking stupid and what a really good society does is have the fewest people working as possible with the most people living comfortable lives of freedom.
I imagined it'd go a lot worse. As it was, there was no mass punch-up to justify more crackdowns on 'far right terror', the speech wasn't too bad (a lot of words to say not a lot, but it wasn't outright embarrassing), there was a nice turn out to show it's not just a fringe thing, and it's left a lot of people in good spirits, so hopefully it'll be followed up on. In all, this is just set-up. The pay-off is going to be what decides if it was a success.
