If there was no revolution, Russia would probably follow the same path as Finland. Industrialise by 1950s without killing anyone, but in this scenario, they would get rolled over by germany. So communism was the better option, they were able to industrialise so fast because people don't matter in communist regimes, all means justify the end. Whether it be slave labour, forcibly taking food from peasants to sell for industrial machinery, forced relocation into industrial centres. killing of the people who can't work, or killing opposition so the gears don't stop turning
