I hope this is their chance to regain relevancy, at least the main ones like Dreyfus, Hendy, Gil, Hauser and maybe Griamore, Slader and Guila. Maybe Janko as well since it would be pretty disappointing if she learned her brother's magic without being able to do anything with it. Ideally the holy knights would all get maybe a tenfold boost so they'd be in the 3k-30k range so they could at least do some damage to the big players. I'm not expecting them to 1v1 commandment level enemies, but 100 holy knights ganging up on one should at least result in some injuries.
I'm also expecting to see Solaseed again soon. His lute was shown to house a goddess so he might be either working for the goddesses or possessed by one. It's apparently a pretty strong one too considering he was just casually chilling atop Dolor's maze, which not even Matrona managed to climb.
Speaking of Guila, Rueduciel should've possessed her instead considering how similar they look.

I've been waiting for this ever since the TC got utterly humiliated back during the invasion of Liones That was pretty much exactly 1 year ago and nothing much has happened since then. Took an entire year to cover some flashbacks and dialogue, 1 commandment fight and then the Chandler stuff. I'm glad there's finally some story progression.

Do you think the unknown knights who were shown watching the shooting stars in chapter 16 are ever going to appear in the story? Considering they were shown alongside Gil, Merlin, King and the old guy who I assume is Bartra as well as Mel, Ban, Diane, Elizabeth and Hawk on the previous page, I'd wager they were supposed to be fairly prominent characters. The mage wearing the visor could have been some kind of proto-Vivian, which would probably make the guy with the big sword a proto-Slader or maybe a proto-Dreyfus. The old guy in the panel next to King could be Bartra or even Helbram or something. In the anime the unknown knights were replaced by Dreyfus, Griamore and Howzer so that could mean Nakaba told the studio to leave them out or it could just be anime team leaving them out since they weren't going to appear outside of that shot anyway. I kinda like their designs so it would be a shame if they were just scrapped, but I'm not sure how they could fit into the story in any meaningful way if they're just standard holy knights.

If she were some five eyed tentacle monster made out of light and gold who's only character trait was that she was looking to enslave other races, I'd say that the odds that her consciousness dissipated into nothingness never to return were 95%, but given that she's busty QT who's relatively well liked by the fans and received a fair amount of panel time in the flashback, and that death is cheap in NnTverse, I'd say that her odds of coming back are 95%.
She might not even be dead considering how reluctant Nakaba is about killing off characters. We don't even know if a goddess possessing a human's body dies if that human is killed or if their soul can simply find a new container. It helps that the goddess clan seems to have a very strong focus on life magic. I mean the druid twins were possessed by some goddesses before the end of the holy war and they're not only still alive 3000 years later but look almost the same even though their human bodies should've died ages ago. The one in the horn also offered to resurrect Elaine but she might have been lying.

That reminds me of something that pretty much confirms Nerobasta is alive. Remember the goddess in the horn? Meliodas destroys it in the Mini tv season (it's canon), and while he does it, the goddess doesn't give a shit.
Maybe they're all more or less immortal now that they have lost their physical bodies? Their souls somehow don't react to trauma in the same way when they are not in their proper containers. The only way to kill them would be to eat their souls.

Deathpierce said that Denzel was offering up his life when he gave his body to Nero, though Denzel was still talking about her in third person after that so I assume he didn't just immediately die. That said, I doubt he was merely appeared to be dead afterwards. I also noticed that Nero was trying to weasel her way out of getting killed so she certainly seemed concerned about losing her host, but that might just be because it's hard to come by a good one.

Ah yes. I was confused by that at the time. It sounded like that was supposed to be Denzel speaking since he had already sacrificed himself and all but the text bubbles don't match. I really like the situation Nakaba has set up. The demons certainly seem to be the most evil side in this but the goddesses are very zealous and somewhat fishy as well. It makes sense for humans in particular to join up with Stigma after what they had to go through, even if some of the anger from the demon side was justified. Remains to be seen what the giants and fairies are going to do. The former kings ended up opposing the demons and King can probably keep the fairies in tow, but I wouldn't be surprised if the giants were somehow tempted into joining up with the demons this time, which would set up a Megadozer arc and give Diane a chance to prove herself to them so she can succeed Dolor. The giants being battle hungry and slowly going extinct might play into it. Maybe the demons power them up or give them some kind of means to secure their continued existence. I could also see a Camelot+Sins vs Liones and maybe some other kingdoms.

I can see that. The battlehungry giants accept the offer of a weakening but still powerful demon clan, while the rest follows Diane. Then the Fairies join the goddesses, worshipping them instead of King, with only a handful staying loyal. Holy Knight civil war scenario is already easy to see with the difference in Hendy and Dreyfus' reaction to Ludociel. And demons are currently facing a schism too, with Zel and Mel both wanting the throne. The next Holy War might be Zel's demons and battlehungry giants vs goddesses and fairies and most humans vs Mel's demons, some humans, loyal fairies, non braindead giants and SDS.
Fraudrins own body has no hair at all, so it was probably special to him especially since other demons have hair
I hope we get some other kingdoms as well. The fight festival had some guys like the assassins and the monk and Solaseed who are probably from neighboring kingdoms and would probably be interested in joining. Solaseed is guaranteed of course because of the lute but the monk should be pretty eager to serve the divine as well.
