It's literally nothing. You don't get those teeth without doctoring the image. If you just change the brightness/contrast of the image you get a rock with a small cavity in it. The square things are compression artifacts from sending the images through space. Images from Mars are literally computer-generated reconstructions of the few bytes that manage to reach back.
