Do not go anywhere in Florida, it will be a culture shock beyond belief even in the nice white areas. Look at the pacific northwest in mid / small suburbs as well as places in New England [but be VERY careful to avoid the nig-zones], Wisconsin, and the north peninsula of Michigan.
