>Some students have said they're not happy with the changes. >Tyra Hemans, 19, a senior, told CNN she supports parts of the new policy, such as the ID requirement. >But she believes other security measures, such as forcing students to carry clear backpacks, don't adequately address the real problem with school safety, which she says is lax gun laws.
>"I'm not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?" she said.
Welcome to being a gun owner. Cant even make this shit up.
are clear backpacks even a bad idea? it does seem like it would be harder to hide a gun if every backpack was see through.
irregardless of where you stand on the gun questions. this kinda makes sense. although there needs to be a market created to serve this need of clear backpacks, if you could buy a cheap one for $10 at walmart and a decent one for under $30 then it becomes practical. how much do these cost and where are the parents expected to buy it?
obviously this wouldn't stop school shootings, which aren't all that common anyways. mass shootings in general have been on decline for decades. and it doesn't stop the false flag attacks. but it could save some lives i guess.
John Gray
Some people have birthdays around March and April and as such during their senior year will graduate 19
Christopher Green
>Why are you punishing me for one person's actions? they are literally taunting us at this point...
Nicholas Nguyen
they should use standard sizes, making it clear doesnt do anything you can still wrap up a pistol or knife
Gabriel Ortiz
19 yo HS senior. The fukin state of mutt education.
Jeremiah James
School uses clear backpacks >Clear backpack rule instituted >Sperg wants to shoot up school >Sperg hollows out hardcover book, inserts handgun, and places book in clear backpack >New high score. It wasn't very effective
it doesn't do anything? or it makes it basically impossible to carry a rifle for any period of time so you have to wrap a pistol or a knife up? see, if you have to go to greater lengths to hide a gun and fewer guns can now be hidden with reasonable success, then it would seem the clear backpacks are doing something.
Dominic Howard
>Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?
>it doesn't do anything? or it makes it basically impossible to carry a rifle for any period of time so you have to wrap a pistol or a knife up?
Implying you could hide an AR in a backpack.
Jose Martin
but here'a a concern. with clear backpacks now everyones thinking about shootings all the time. including potential shooters being constantly reminded by the clear backpacks that school shootings are a thing. putting it constantly on everyones minds is only going to trigger more instances i would think.
Logan Jones
Like the TSA searches for "terrorists" at airports completely fucking the drug trade, these kids and their reefers, condoms, porn and whatnot get to suffer.
Ethan King
So you know, irregardless is an improper way of saying regardless. Not to be mean but just so someone in the future doesn’t invalidate your opinion due to something so trivial. Leftists love to do that
Ian Ramirez
>That girl must either be dumb as a rock, or a drug user. Everyone I graduated with was 17 or 18. 18 is the average age of graduation. She was either born at an odd time of the year or lost some credits which can happen when transfering or failing. Ive seen people not graduate highschool until their early 20s, those people were fucking stupid.
Jackson Morris
Why would you want to hide a gun if you were going to shoot up a school? And even if you did want to, couldn't you just hid a pistol inside of cut out books or something?
Isaac Jones
since you can so easily wrap a small gun like a pistol in a sweater or something and shove it in a clear backpack. and since the average size backpack can't fit most rifles. i think just having a standard backpack size and a rule against massive backpacks would make sense.
but the sports kids and music kids are going to have trouble moving their sports equipment and instruments around without large bags or cases.
but still. just having a rule against large backpacks i guess. is about as effective a move as can be made as far as backpacks go. and it can be done without putting people into the constant fear state of thinking about shootings that clear backpacks would provide.
Leo Cox
My birthday is in June and I graduated at 17. That kind of shits on your theory.
Camden Cook
>Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?
Welcome to the War on Drugs (you're own people).
Joshua Jenkins
>"Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?" Well, gun-free, liberal-voting areas and black liberal-voting populace responsible for both mass and mundane gun crime? Care to explain this one to the white, conservative gun enthusiasts with the gun incident rates on par with the Scandinavian nations that get trotted out to disparage gun ownership?
Gabriel Turner
My birthday is in March and I was 18 when I graduated HS. Your math is off.
Hunter Phillips
>school enforces strict rules >drug users find a way to get in and out of the building without teachers knowing >student brings gun in through propped open door or tampered with security system.
Anthony Wright
LMAO STOP PUNISHING ME WITH CLEAR BACKPACKS THATS NOT FAIR BECAUSE I DINDU NUFFIN, YOU SHOULD PUNISH EVERYBODY ELSE AND TAKE THE GUNS AWAY INSTEAD
Isaiah Evans
I think the clear backpacks are to turn the next generation into anti-gun voters.
Think about it, these kids having to walk around with clear backpacks all the time being put into a constant state of fear regarding firearms and being constantly reminded that the dreaded FIREARM could show up at any time to shoot you and your friends and that anyone could be carrying one and that its super scary.
So with the clear backpacks you can really brainwash a younger generation into fearing guns and going along with voting to rmove them, which goes hand in hand with big government and rights stripping in general.
So it's a really sucessful brainwashing campaign if they can launch these clear backpacks they can get the next generations to just sign away rights for "safety."
There birth year is one year ahead of yours. Due to some districts cut off dates; they get stuck a class year behind due to the cutoffs.
Hunter Ross
Same here. People graduate at 17 if they're birthdays are in july or August. Theres literally no reason you're graduating at 19 unless you were held back
Jack Price
In my pants or taped to my back. There's very clear ways to go around that dumb rule although funny to see teens suffer
Aiden Bennett
Or, they could just finish up High School and buy whatever friggin' backpack they want. Doubt it'll scar them for life and make them anti-gun.
Easton Hall
So where are they going to school for that missing year?
Matthew Ramirez
they may expand this program to all primary and secondary schools. spending years of your life constantly being reminded that anyone could be carrying a gun and being used to the idea of your backpack privacy being a necessary sacrifice to protect against the constant threat of firearms... yeah that could have an effect on gun opinions and voting trends of future generations.
Matthew Torres
Good luck getting modern college kids to comply with this shit. They get buttmad over a Homo they disagree with speaking at the school they attend. They'd view it as a microaggression and go all BLM on that.
Cameron Roberts
hogg's school is GIVING them the backpacks.
Evan Brooks
Couldn't you just cut out pages in a thick binder and put gun in your insert ?
Aiden Ortiz
it'll be used as emotional manipulation for sure the people who imposed the policy in the first place will tell them they wouldn't have to wear those silly backpacks if the meany conservatives would just give up the guns liberals keep shooting each other with
Jace Ward
I say ban all backpacks instead. No cost to parents. Plus imagine that kid in OPs pic carrying all that shit in his hands, no hands left to carry guns. Problem solved. Next!
Holy fuck just make the constitution fully apply only to property owners (land/houses) And no your 98 honda civic is not enough to be considered property in this instance
Henry Jones
Who the fuck is still in high school at 19? I bet she's a nigger.
Julian Hall
Metal detector
Henry Garcia
>That girl must either be dumb as a rock, or a drug user >Tyra
I wouldn't know, I graduated long before I turned 19, plus I didn't attend leaf school
Colton Collins
Then why make clear backpacks mandatory if every school installs metal detectors?
Justin Perez
>are clear backpacks even a bad idea? If anything I'm surprised they aren't imposing an even stricter dress code/uniforms. If these people want to have their ability to choose taken away then take it all. Let the kids find out the hard way that when you give a little people will take a lot.
Bentley Ross
As much as I love these kids getting their comeuppance, clear backbacks are police state bullshit just like TSA mouth breathers harassing people at airports is police state bullshit.
Time and time again we find that if law enforcement simply did their jobs correctly, there would be no need whatsoever for increased measures.
Hudson Cooper
need to divide the country up between left and right. one half can shoot each other and beat each other with their bibles and the rest can live a normal life
Caleb Perry
FBI was tipped a first and last name.. and did nothing.
She probably has a late birthday or a very early birthday and was held back a year prior to starting first grade.
Mason Rogers
>reefers >physical porn Jesus Christ grandpa. Shouldn't you be posting on Face book exclusively by your age?
Jaxon Gonzalez
Or late cutoff date for starting 1st grade.
Adrian Foster
Hopefully the rule only applies only to these 4 classes
Carter Thompson
>guy walked into school with a machine gun without trying to hide the fact that he had the gun >better respond like he snuck his gun in and then surprised everyone
>I'm not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person's actions? Translation: >I want to bring contraband into school but now I can't do it easily anymore
Clear plastic bags are part and parcel of life in American Schools.
Austin Jackson
I lost all my credits transferring from VA to MN because MN didn't recognize a lot of their courses' credibility. I took summer-school to graduate on time though. This was well over a decade ago though.
Alexander Perez
>akes it basically impossible to carry a rifle for any period of time
I don't think the relative transparency of a book bag has much to do with why you can't hide a rifle in one.
Bentley Lewis
Drug use/dealer would explain why she doesn't want clear backpacks.
Lucas Murphy
>but the sports kids and music kids are going to have trouble moving their sports equipment and instruments around without large bags or cases.
If it saves even one life it would be worth it.
Hudson Bell
>There birth year is one year ahead You still graduate at 18 in that case. Work on you're english fuck weasel.
Adam Jenkins
>TSA mouth breathers harassing people at airports is police state bullshit.
How so? You have no Constitutionally enumerated right to ride an airplane.
Exactly this, the hypocrisy is strong. During this entire debate I was genuinely scared that they would take away guns, so i’m glad they’re suffering the same stress.
Julian Edwards
>"I'm not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?" she said >which she says is lax gun laws. Which is punishing people for another person's actions. Does she not realize this? Never mind, she's a girl AND a child.
>Then why make clear backpacks mandatory if every school installs metal detectors?
To fuck with people's minds.
Angel Carter
>Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?" she said.
BAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH
Ian Bailey
My fuckin sides at this! LOL
Thomas Fisher
And wearing a Run DMC shirt, the last of the real Hip Hop groups that completely shunned violence and hate.
Jaxson Kelly
I've come to the conclusion that if you can survive the first 18 years of your life being born and raised an American without getting totally cucked or brainwashed, then you will be a multimillionaire one day guaranteed. It's amazing how much better life in this country gets when you get away from the Jew educator brainwashing.
That is literally what always happens when people mindless scream at the state to solve their own problems in a general way. Every single school related problem in the US was created by this shit.
>reeee unruly kids fuck all the sit up and do crazy ass stuff Okay, we make state hospitals and special ed schools where they don't fuck out shit up >reeeeee you can't institutionalise mentally ill, no child left behind, even if you're 50IQ full blown retard you can become a pilot or doctor okay, everyone gets a HS diploma and goes to a normal class >reeeee this school is shitty and people kill each other and drugs everywhere okay, police and TSA like security in every school >reeee this is like jail and racist and not fun okay, we just ban anyone who doesn't work there or goes to school there from entering, better? >reeeee this is not fair, my drug dea.., erm I mean special counselor is now banned right, we don't give a fuck just let anyone in, you want it that way right? >reeee some outsider just shot up our school here you go see trough backpacks and mandatory to wear student id visible at all time >reeeee this is not fair and racist
fucking retards...
Aaron Hernandez
Maybe they should be out in the streets throwing rocks!
I grew up in Baltimore City, they always made us use clear book bags. The fact that they are complaining is proof that the students don't care about safety, their agenda has nothing to do with safety.
Jack Roberts
You could fit an AR that separates into uppers and lowers into a bag. But then all you'd have to do is throw a gym shirt into the bag too and bam, it's just as hidden as a solid backpack.
Thomas Allen
>19, a senior k
Justin Barnes
same feeling when i read 19/senior. must be uncomfortable to be an adult and have to attend a public school everyday for the diploma. hope "tyra" graduates in the next few years so she can gtfo that place before turning 21..
Landon Baker
>"Gun control laws do nothing to prevent people from getting guns! They just find a way to buy them illegally!" >"But transparent backpacks? fucking fool proof."
Aiden Fisher
>>"I'm not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?" she said.
Honestly just build perimeters around all schools. I went to charter schools that all had tall fences and armed security guards and we were secure as fuck
Xavier Adams
>tyra there's your answer, user
Jayden Watson
>"I'm not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person's actions?" she said. HAHAHAHAHA and they wanted to punish every gun owner by banning scary looking guns. Get fucked.
Brandon Carter
what is that webm ?
Jayden Perez
They are now realizing their own rules are biting them now. The irony is delicious.
Aiden Smith
They'll probably have mandatory backpack checks. This is actually standard procedure at most inner city schools because nogs can't stop shooting each other.
