Sorachi probably don't want the Otaku audience (Idol and anime) based on what I've seen from the beginning. I mean, look at the generic Gintama Otaku faces. Also you have Takachin. The only redeeming otaku faces are Shinpachi and Toshi (But they are still casually shamed throughout the series from being an otaku)
