What are your favorite anime short films?

...

She and her cat was nice.

Boku no Pico

Noiseman Sound Insect, because I'm a Yuasa fag.

Cat Shit One was pretty enjoyable.
Shelter is visually impressive.
La Maison en Petits Cubes is kinda cozy.
Magnetic Rose is super cool.

Dimension Bomb

...

Kanamewo. Check it out.

...

still looking for the OST, to no avail.

space station no 9

Magnetic Rose

That one about breast-feeding.

Cencoroll
It's so perfectly concise, yet doesn't give more information than is needed.

Power Station no. 33

A lot of those Japanese Animator Exhibitions were great.

>A lot of those Japanese Animator Exhibitions were great.

If I could just say the "Japanese Animator Exhibition" is my favorite anime movie short I would.
Casette Girl was amazing as well as that one about humans coming back to check on a planet they seeded with humans.

Can't forget Happy Machine, either.

Anyone know of something similar to Petits Cubes? I really liked it.

My absolute kin of dusky color. I once did an hour-long presentation about Dimension Bomb, during preparation for which I accidentally worked out the entire real world narrative of the piece (it's about teens fucking; pic related).

Also, does the Yuasa-directed Vampiyan Kids pilot film count? I'll readily admit it's no masterpiece, but damn, do I love it.

Yeah, that three-minute montage in Up, because Pixar ripped off Katō.

Yeah

Patema beginning of the day was cool.

Cat soup was nice, but I kinda wish it was less psychedelic and more faithful to the manga.

So less trippy, up the cruelty?

why didnt Umetsu make anything remotely similar to Presence ever again?

This

On your mark

>tfw the author of Cat Soup committed suicide

Really? Fuck.

It's weird because Nyāko (Hashiguchi's self-insert character) said multiple times that she doesn't want to die. Something's not right about this.

Then watch the shorts

how new are all of you? I thought that was the entire allure of the series in the first place.

>I thought that was the entire allure of the series in the first place.
A dead author doesn't make a manga automatically interesting. Nekojiru was genuinely fun to read.

I still have a feeling that her husband is somehow related, maybe he didn’t kill her but probably pushed her to do it.

Nah, she simply overworked herself to a point she went insane.

No one wants to die really. If anything that could've been her cry for help

Doubtful, you should watch the documentary about her on youtube. She was mentally ill for sure.

Have you seen them?

Limit Cycle

We live in a timeline where Dragon Dentist got a full story before Cassette Girl.

喜劇 (Kigeki) by Nakazawa Kazuto. It's so astonishing it makes you think Nakazawa's good director. Which he sadly isn't.
