Convince me into going to college Sup Forums

From what I hear you want me to spend $20k a year to learn Science, Maths or Computer Science. But why?

Working at McDonald's isn't nice

STEM degrees have value. Just, if you do go to college, don't major in something worthless like gender studies. In most cases if you start a job without a college degree (but at least a high school diploma or GED) and work hard learning as much as you can for four years you'll be better off than if you'd gone to college, as long as you work towards moving up and truly go above and beyond.

Don't its useless
Don't listen to the STEMbots here

enrolling was the worst mistake of my life, I will quit in the next month with a 10k debt and no payoff but the peace of mind that I disentangled myself from a future four years of poverty and servility

Ultra rare.

It certainly isn't in Mozambique

Have a genuine conversation with us OP. That involves the honesty of not using a flag to mask where you live. Are you ashamed of your country? Or just using the regular shill bullshit to cause division and confusion? I will give you honest answers to your questions if you just be honest with us.

>But why?
Well it helps a lot with getting a good paying job.

>enrolling was the worst mistake of my life, I will quit in the next month
why?

Consider majoring in something useful, or a trade. Sometimes the trades don’t have upward mobility like working for a corporation does.

At this point, college is still the key. It’s not really necessary in one sense for jobs, it’s just the people hiring use it as a way to weed out candidates (those without degrees)

damn

Colleges should have warning labels telling you about how much debt you’re taking on.

Don’t trust the colleges stats regarding placement rates. I struggled to find a job after college, and my college never sent me a survey saying if I found a job in my field right away. Yet they claimed most students do.

Just remember college staff and faculty have an interest in enrolling and keeping you there. It doesn’t look good when people leave their programs. University of Wisconsin Stevens point closed 14 majors down recently.

Get info and advice from a wide variety of sources like pol, your college, other forums, people who went and liked it, people who went and regretted it, old people, young people, and always consider the source and their biases

I'm indebting myself by huge masses of money with no secure process of paying it back for the far prospect of a servile career as a company man

Go into stem to build rockets so we can escape this hellhole

>enrolling was the worst mistake of my life, I will quit in the next month

Maybe just don't do total shit in highschool and get a good scholarship. If you're not an autist you can get a full ride and not drop out.

pay to learn another language with a shitty low paying job and then study abroad in a cont where its free.

A degree in an american college is usually unless its ivy league. It gets easyer to pass every year and the only reason people go to them is because they look dumb fon not having a degree when its so easy to get one

go abroad and get a proper education

you can self teach yourself CS in one year using the MIT classes on internet, just look up the "MIT challenge"

STEM classes are still legit, but I wouldn't go to college if I were american.

Just get a nice portfolio making 3D things like a basic 3D game engine and employeers will be more impressed than a shitty comunity college nigger diploma.

>math
you don't need college to learn math by yourself, and you don't need a diploma to do math research.

Unless you really want to join academia there's no point in college.

I don't know what your situation or goals in life are, but just get into something now rather than later as I'm too old to consider getting my life together. I certainly don't have $10k a year for community college.

This is true enough. I've been working at Wal-Mart for over 14 years. In no way is it a dream job, but unfortunately the best paging job I'll ever have since I don't have a GED.

Someone has to program the singularity

Educationally it's useless. Emotionally it has great values. Great friends, memories and fun you will never ever have elsewhere because you don't get that enititlement. Also , if you white people you go to college just for the vagene and ask classmate to show Bobs like the seX hamster website...

Paying for university and a shit degree is a bad idea. But paying for a school or a useful degree is not necessarily. People don't hire if you come from nowhere.

wrong, they literally hire you if you show you're capable (has the skills) and you know someone they know, or you produce something they give a fuck.

the godot guys make 8k per month on patreon just make a FOSS game engine.
the guys that make the Wii emulator makes 15k per month on patreon.

The biggest issue I have with the people who press others not to go to college is that they often aren't aware of the fact that it's not college that screwed them over but that it was, in fact, themselves who did it by not "doing college the right way".

People who don't find work out of college often misinterpreted college as "I'll study hard for a few exams a year and then the Man is going to give me a job". That's not how it works though. Attending college is all about acquiring a certain work methodology/ethic that's closely linked with the field you see yourself working in, as well as creating yourself a network of people who already work in said field (this is basically what internships are for).

In other words, you have to go to college with a shark mentality. You're not paying 20k a year to "learn science". You're paying 20k a year for a chance at acquiring a specific set of competencies that will, once the network you created around yourself notices it, provide you with job prospects.

>paying 20k to learn self discipline
ok cuck.

Nigger are you illiterate ?

Protip: You can attend college without falling for leftist propaganda. It usually only works on people that doesn't already have a set of values anyway. There are good people going there too, you just have to seek them out. Just try to contain the red pills as much as possible, and just "Agree" with leftist when backed into a corner. Also try to look for an educational path with an actual future. As more and more Jobs are either disappearing or getting automated.

I was actually kinda surprised how many right wing people attend my collage. The internet kinda makes it seem like everybody is extremely left wing. Its not. Most are just kinda Normies.

you only go to college to get a shitty paper, which is valid for some professions where is illegal to work without a licence from the goverment.

otherwise you're paying them so you can still self teach yourself what they don't even teach you in a lot of cases.

If you're a white male don't bother go into computer science. It's the best advice I could give you

>College is not the right place to talk about politics anyway. Great way to shut doors before you even enter the market

My bad, didn't mean to greentext

Go but you have to make sure you get a lot of skills ie dont waste your electives. I’ll graduate from a math degree with a major in stats, with my electives spent on japanese language and computer science (programming java, c++). Uni is great but be wise about it.
I see these art majors around me having a fucking blast because they never have to study, have high gpas because their courses are a piss take in terms of difficulty and they go on exchange, and get scholarships and all this shit but they graduate and work in retail or fast food. My cousin for example has a masters degree in politics and is a barista, and he was unemployed for a year before he got that job. So it’ll piss you off watching these gender studies and arts majors doing nothing (and they all whinge about how much work they have to do lmao) but if you’re in stem you’ll have a good life after grad.

Lol no. Only autists are capable of full rides and not dropping out. Clearly under 18 poster here. Kys.

pretty much this.

Also art is extremelly profitable, but you don't get the skills you need to art at some professional level in college or art school.

plenty of artists makes six figures now doing porn or fan art on patreon now.

Just go into business for yourself. Online businesses are incredibly easy to start right now. Just find something people want and go for it.

I started an online consignment business ~2 years ago and I make about 6k a month. As long as you're not greedy and you live a modest lifestyle that's plenty of fucking money.

I wanted to add that everything you need to know about starting your own business is on JewTube.

However, avoid those "I HAVE 8 LAMBOURGHINIS AND A HOUSE IN BEVERLY HILLS, HERE'S HOW I DID IT. BUY MY BOOK/HOME COURSE/AUDIO SERIES ETC ETC ETC."

Do not give these fags any money and avoid these swindlers at all costs.

School is a way to know people.

>tfw no starting capital

I have a professional tip to anybody that is interested in potentially going to college: IF YOU DIDNT SCORE IN THE 85% OR HIGHER IN YOUR ACT/SAT, AND IF YOU CANNOT GET A MINIMUM 50% TUITION REMISSION VIA GRANTS+SCHOLARSHIPS

DO

NOT

GO

TO

COLLEGE

YOU ARENT SMART ENOUGH TO GO INTO STEM

YOU ARENT SMART ENOUGH TO BE A SCHOLAR

If you have to go into tens of thousands of dollars of debt and you don't have a specific and well-thought-out plan for your professional future and a true drive to get things done, you are fucking yourself into slavery for the next 30+ years.

you don't have to pay 20k or more to just meet people.

there's even interships that only ask for a high school diploma.

or you can make your own bussiness.

Do you know where you are?

Homie, I was dirt poor when I started mine. I took 20 dollars, bought some used goods at a garage sale, and flipped it online for 300 bucks. I used that to buy more stuff that had value at garage sales, flipped it again, rinse and repeat. I turned 20 bucks into $3000 in about a month.

I did this for about 6 months and eventually moved from garage sales to thrift stores, and then on to buying in bulk from distributors and then selling them online. For instance, recently I bought 45-ish copies of that ARK: Survival game for $11 a piece. They go for ~45-50 bucks each on Ebay. Easy profit.

Money is out there to be made, just be very wary of those douches online who want you to pay for their "secrets" for success. There are no secrets.

I'm not the entrepreneurial type as I feel I am overcharging people who would thus avoid me. There's no way I can do what you do as I live in a tiny apartment which I don't have access to a vehicle most of the time, so transfer and storage of wares would be an issue.

6k a month? jesus christmas thats 3x my hourly walmart wages at nearly 200 hours a month.

I was under the impression that everything has already been done, and with the advent of mobile apps, much cheaper and efficient services.
