So close but yet so far
Asuka's spanish voice makes my dick rock hard.
but the writing is some of the worst i've ever heard, it makes it sound way shittier than it is.

Portuguese by a long shot
all dubs are shit!
except these
All albanian dubs are fucking awful
>albanian
who?
>idiota pervertido
I understood that.
Italy is famous for being pretty damn good at dubbing, despite the originals being always better I never found something cringeworthy or particularly bad. Hell I'd say that SpicBall Z might be even better especially considering how annoying Goku's voice is in the original.
I've only seen two shows with russian dub: TTGL and Haruhi, and they are both exceptional

my sides oh god
there is nothing japanese about anime so a dub can be just as good if not better.

Spanish from Mexico = spanish from Spain > shit > spanish from south america > dog shit > american english dub.
Can't really talk about the rest of the world since I have not heard these.
You don’t wanna know
It's been years since I watched a german dub, but I remember the one of Madoka being pretty good.
catalan > all
I want to share this before the thread gets deleted

I like one voice actor from Denmark (Simon Stenspil). And two from turkey (İlham Erdogan and whoever played Takao in Beyblade). The rest are garbage.

one piece and dragon ball...now they suck in german
>Russian dubs
Perro caca tier.
Ttgl was good tho
lol why did russa dub gurren lagann and haruhi don't they just do voice over? is it a curiosity or is dubbing a growing industry in japan
Aside from arbitrary translations such as Spanish dubs are good most of the time. For example, Bobobo's dub was great.
Don't know about Catalan, but Basque is surprisingly good for the small amount of available voice actors.
Russian fandub is a fucking dogshit.
Still love official one though.

French dubs are horrible.
But about 20 years ago they were fucking hilarious. A channel bought a few popular japanese shows to diffuse them in the morning, before school.
They realized afterward they were meant for more mature audience.
So they butchered most episodes to get rid of blood and violence, and let french actors do their things by themselves.
"Okuto" from okuto no ken became "Couteau de cuisine" (kitchen knife), or a masenko in dbz became a "rayon magique " (magical beam).
Fun times, really.

But still, portugal.

dbz and hokuto no ken were for kids in japan
French dub for Hokuto no Ken, best dub ever made.

Ken le survivant was absolutely based.
Some were very good though.
I loved FMA in French, every voice was on point, especially Hugues who was 10/10.
Croat here. We got the nip dub for Dragon Ball/Z, Sailor Moon, YuYu Hakusho and stuff like that, but toy pushing stuff like PKMN, Digimon, Yugioh and shit were dubbed, but I was a babby so I don't care
Mexican Goku's VA can do 3 voices, super serious (Bruce Willis in Sixth Sense) and super "funny" (Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura). Goku is exactly in the middle.
Well maybe it was meant for kids in japan, but it was a bit too much for national tv back then.
quality dubs thx to roger carel

I never really experienced Swedish dubs of anime but I saw a handful of episodes of Pokemon and Sailor Moon. Here's the Swedish opening to Sailor Moon at least.
In italian they are pretty good (keep in mind that the only stuff that gets a dub is action/adventure anime)
My personal favourites are dragonball dbz gt death note naruto and detective conan and one punch man, but for almost all of them its probably just nostalgia talking. I loved flavio aquilone in death note ( you've probably seen the kira laughing scene on youtube) and he did a pretty good work in opm too.
The only anime that has a pretty bad dub is one piece imo. Listening to the italian kogoro(detective conan) is just pure orgasm for me
Mario Castañeda is super overrated by DBZ fans, sure, he can make different voices but his acting is decent at best.
You're the mistake here, faggot.
DIE SACHE MIT EUREN KÄTN IST...... GEGESSEN
this, retrospectively, watching 80's anime dubbed in French is the patrician taste full of humor and derision.
Forgot cowboy bebop, really liked that too
Indeed.
since Germany has a pretty large dubbing industry the quality often largely depends on the willingness of the publisher to through money at it, but I have discovered a fairly simple rule of thumb:
If characters spend a lot of time people swearing and shit-talking each other it tends to work better in German.
For example, I recently watched the German version of Kill la Kill, and while Satsuki was a bit lacking, Ryuko was good and Ragyo is straight up the best version of that character.
>Ryuko was good
srsly her voice actor was really unfitting (too deep)
I only watch anime in english
I think it works for her.
quite literally the BEST dub ever made
>ВЕРЬ В СЕБЯ И В СВОЮ ВЕРЮ В СЕБЯ
i cri everytime. Reanimedia was amazing.
Russian dub lovers must be closet homosexuals. Otherwise I have no explanation on why some people like hearing their waifu sound like a man in his late 40's
>dubs

In France it's only acceptable when you're a child watching anime on TV.
jap is also a dub
>watching dubs

I absolutely loved watching FMA and GTO on french tv as a kid.

No, just a really cute girl.

It's the fucking best. Tons of random pop culture references, Cell's VA is talking into a fan.

As a kid I never watched DBZ because the character designs grossed me out (watched a bunch of shoujo anime and Doraemon instead), but I actually kind of regret it now.
Spanish dubbers are good, but they are so few actual voice actors and the translations are usually very mediocre, so they end up being a little shitty. Some exceptions like Bobobo, Death Note or Cowboy Bebop are there, but usually isn't very good.
It should also be noted that both English and Spanish dubs from Bobobo were so good because the translators realized that they would never be able to translate all the Japanese jokes and puns and just went wild while keeping some of the original plot.
Something similar happens with a lot of the 80s and 90s surreal humor films when dubbed by the Spanish
Not a Catalan myself but they did a good job with most animes. Although a great deal of the Spanish voice actors that participate in anime dubs are also Catalans who also dub in Catalan, so there is that.
>Spanish from Mexico
Translations are usually better, but I can get over the accent, all the voices seem the same to me. And that's my major problem with the Spanish dubs in general.
holy shit so many spics
>dubs
Is this a joke dub? Fuck that's hilarious.
Everyone sounds like they're 40. Disgusting.
Brown haired guy really can't act.
These sound passable.
Video doesn't play.
Only because they didn't bother dubbing the grunts and battle cries.
Any episodes?
Sounds like a cross between a typical American dub and Team Fourstar.
lmao this is so bad.
Onizuka's voice sounds terrible.
Holy shit you're all delusional as fuck, I can't believe Eurocucks and Latinfucks are even worse than American dub watchers. Kill yourselves.
Italian dub is excellent most of the time, as good as the Japanese one and sometimes even better (Digimon). Italy has dubbed anime since the 70s and everytime I am up for a vintage rewatch I always use the dubbed version.
To be honest, anything animated is much better in Italian.
I saw only Italian dub (Aishite Knight) and it was fuck awful. Who thought it was a good idea to turn the cat into Garfield?
>even worse than American dub watchers
Amercan dubs are the worst since there is dubbing culture. Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Japan have a very strong one.
I didn't really get to see much anime with dub, but the ones I saw, or should I rather say — heard, left me with bad aftertaste. Japs definitely way more experienced and fit in this regard.
because that annoying cat is literally Garfield. Aishite Knight dub is good.
not for live action and western cartoons
My chocolate skinned friend. French dub FMA 2003 on canal+ was my gateway anime.

Perfect dub.
Yeah, except none of them good anyway. You're so deluded and full of nostalgia faggotry it's not even funny.
No it isn't. It really really isn't.
The best and only worth checking out Spanish (Spain, not South-America) dubs are Cowboy Bebop, Metropolis and Monster. The rest is pure garbage with the same VA.
>What are fan favourite dubs among the anime fans in those nations.
Those were everybody who participated in them die.
Mes prête-plumes
>Onizuka's voice sounds terrible.
I agree it sounds worse than the jap one but the dub was so well written and hilarious that you you don't care.
So fucking good
Imagine my suprise when the American dub of the gumi bears was worse than the German dub.
Who knew?
Why don't the Americans employ voice ACTOR's?
I don't think I ever heard czech dub of anime.
