Schools need to be reformed. They need to start later in the morning and go later in the day. The majority of time needs to be dedicated to social interactions and building community. Teachers need to be around still, but be trained more as guides and philosophers.

Because students can no longer defend themselves. It used to be that if someone was bullying you you kicked the shit out of them and they stopped. Now people are constantly told not to fight, tell an adult, and that fighting will get you punished even if it is in self defence. My life improved massively when I decided to beat the shit out of the manlet who had been bullying me since middle school, I only wish I don't beaten him up earlier.

lel, what is your definition of nothing? Mandatory schooling is a relatively new phenomenon. Remember when the native americans hunted, fished, and did all that other shit? Then they got their hair cut and had to dress like Europeans. If you get the chance to visit a reservation in the USA you will find the schooling didn't help them. Quit acting like a society without mandatory schooling would be some kind of post apocalyptic anarchy. Kids would learn how to survive before things like minimum wage, dual income society, teen pregnancy, opium from pakistan, getting shipped off to fight for countries that hate them, divorce, feminism, sex changes before puberty, credit reports, a down payment on a house that might lead to suicide, all of that other bullshit.

If a kid is being shit on for 8 hours a day at school, the system has failed that kid. The government has failed that kid. That kid should be able to walk out of the school. This. Every public school, at least, has a zero tolerance policy for violence. If you get jumped on campus and fight back, all of you get suspended if not expelled. I remember back in high school I had some punk ass motherfucker who was threatening to jump me with his friends while I walked home from school, so I called up my older brother and told him to back me up if this fight happened and it didn't stay a 1v1. I remember walking home and seeing said punk ass and friends walking behind me, and as we crested this hill I saw my older brother, his 300lb friend with his pitbull, and one corpsman and one guy named screech.
Nothing compares to that feeling when I turned around and walked up to the kid and just shattered his kike looking nose.

When I was in Highschool, most of my teachers cared more about their paychecks than making an attempt to teach. It was basically state subsidized daycare. Public schooling needs to be completely reworked, inside and out.
I've been advocating for the abolishment of public school for years. Private school can remain, and online school. They don't teach a fucking thing in private school anyways.
