Here it says that in order to protect Kyouko he didn't apologize while in reddit they just say in order to protect her he didn't raise any objections. The first one implies he didn't apologize because he already hoped that that would deter Ogino so can anyone doublecheck that?

Another big difference is where reddit has Ishigami saying that Ogino might post revenge porn whereas here he's saying Ogino hitting her would be revenge porn.

I don't have the time to pick them all out, but here's an example.
Page 4, there's a line that Fans said was "At night, I struggled with homework that made going to school look like a walk in the park." That implies that Ishigami is getting homework somehow more difficult than stuff you'd get in school. But the original, and what is written here, is that the homework is just particularly hard for Ishigami since he's not taking classes. He's struggling with it, the homework is not excessively difficult. So that was a pretty big misconception.

Also, the original said something about a "fitting" or "proper" punishment, not how "severe" it was. But that doesn't matter a whole lot. Maybe their TL didn't know that word, and just ad-libbed something that sounded right? But that's such a minor nuance.

A mistranslation is a mistranslation. There's plenty of room for flexibility and leeway, and both use them, but like, if it misconstrues the point, then it's just wrong. I recall reading the Fansscans version and I certainly had the idea that Ishigami got more difficult homework, and I specifically recall being confused by it before checking.

Fans translation has always had a history of being shit. What's being misrepresented according to you?
