No it distracts me
No, that is stupid.
Yeah.
It's not like a book where you need to give it some level of focus to absorb the content.
Quiet instrumental music occasionally. Usually I get in a flow after a chapter or two and can't hear the music anymore, so it doesn't really matter in the end
Yeah but only anime osts.
If I'm reading Berserk, I'll put on the Diablo soundtracks since gothic ambient is sick and fits it perfectly
Normally no, but Holyland with eurobeat playing is amazing.
>BE MY BABY TONIGHT comes on right as he goes to fight the professional kickboxer in the park at night
10/10
Sometimes. It's nice when the music syncs with the scene.

I listen to gachimuchi when reading manga.
>not imagining the sounds, voices and movements as you read
You are a baby.
But how do you imagine *sound of insertion if you never heard one?

Yeah, I usually try to fit listening new albums while reading manga, Sometimes an album fits the mood perfectly and then it get associated with that specific manga for me so it always reminds me of the manga.

I prefer Snoop Doge mixes.
>Sometimes an album fits the mood perfectly and then it get associated with that specific manga for me so it always reminds me of the manga.
>get nostalgic for an album
>reminds you of that manga
>get a double dose of nostalgia
It's both amazing and terrifying.

Woah. Snoop Doggy Dog goes with every anime!
Waltz for zizi on loop if it's good
Atmospheric BM
I used to read Prison School with kavinsky. I play age of empires ost when I read Historie. Or trex with 20th century boys
I put really loud Wagner and heavy metal on massive speakers which I plug to my laptop, and make sure the whole area knows that I am reading YuruYuri
>I play age of empires ost when I read Historie.
Glorious.
Only if there's a scene where the manga mentions music playing. So far I've seen Shamo and Yandere Kanojo doing it.
Unrelated but next chapter when?
>I play age of empires ost when I read Historie
>age of empires ost
man of culture, i see
TES Oblivion OST is nice too.
When I was reading Steel Ball Run, I was listening to a bunch of 70's classic rock/Western Music. To me, it just made it a lot more immersive, especially when the song-inspired characters shows up.
List of artists/songs were:
>Redbone

youtu.be
>Crosby, Steels and Nash
youtu.be
>Mandom (Lovers Of The World)
youtu.be
>T-Rex

>AC-DC

>and of course TUSK

There was probably more but every time I listen to the song, I remember the scene from the manga vividly.
While reading Jojolion, I don't know why but it gave me more of a late 70's disco/80's funk vibe from it. Listening to it with music from that era gave me that "Jojo" feeling (I don't know any other way to say it). Reading it without music would have probably gave me a different tone. Disco makes it more fun in those dark moments.
What I listened:
>Earth, Wind and Fire

>Kool and the Gang

>Fantastic Voyage

>Prince

And because of the sailor get-up and ocean iconography, it also gave me a retro, summer time feel too:
>KC and the Sunshine Band (gave me a summer beach feel)

>Ocean Man

>Brandy

>Village People

>Beach Boys

I play instrumental music in my head appropriate for the scene
I might be crazy though, I can't really not have music in my head anymore even if I try
if I'm reading something sad or moody it's usually youtube.com
if it's an action my go-to is Swans, it's dumb how repetitive they are but I keep going back to them youtube.com
