The main issue is going from 1 cell to a fetus. For that you need a human placenta and uterus, the easiest way would be to just use a full human body with the brainfunctions removed.

The reason for post birth depression in females is due to c-sections. The body thinks it has had a miscarriage so it fucks with the mothers head. Childbirth is the female version of conflict for a man. There is insane amounts of hormonal shit that goes on during those 9 months. The womb is only one part of the pregnancy process, the mother’s diet and daily habits all play a part in shaping the child. As soon as you start relying on machines to birth humans it will kickstart something similar to JFGs idea of phenotypic revolution.

My idea would only be the very first version of artificial wombs. Eventually the artificial womb will be genetially modified to grow 5 wombs at the same time to exponentially increase its output.
To be clear: the artificial womb is implanted with cells from the customers using IVF. The genes of the womb do not end up in the child.
