BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:40 A.M.) – Several Syrian Arab Army (SAA) units have recently redeployed from eastern Damascus to the northern countryside of the Dara’a Governorate, as the military shifts their attention to this southern province.
According to local reports, a large number of Syrian Army personnel were recently redeployed to 15th Brigade’s base near the rebel-held town of Inkhil in northern Dara’a.
In addition to this redeployment, several units from the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th, 7th, and 9th divisions were brought back from the East Ghouta region to the Dara’a and Al-Quneitra governorates.
With all signs pointing to southern Syria as their next military objective after the conclusion of the East Ghouta and southern Damascus operations, the Syrian Arab Army will likely keep growing their forces in the region until the start of this offensive.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:45 P.M.) – A Russian military delegation has entered a southern Damascus town this afternoon to negotiate with the rebels inside, a source in the Syrian capital told Al-Masdsar News.
According to the source, the Russian Reconciliation Center entered the town of Babila in southern Damascus and offered the rebels inside a chance to reconcile with the government.
In exchange for full reconciliation, the rebels inside Babila will be offered the chance to settle their cases with the government or be transported to northern Syria.
The Russian offer in Babila is similar to the deals that were implemented in the East Ghouta and Darayya.
Babila is technically under a reconciliation agreement, which is more like a permanent ceasefire that allows the rebels full control of the town.
In the case of Baibila, the Syrian government is seeking to fully secure Damascus and retake all ground out of their hands.
