Everything we've learned has already been discovered (duh) and society as a whole is not taking aim at something real that everyone can strive towards together. Thus we're stuck doing a bunch of side quests and bonus missions, downloading an extra DLC and playing the expansion but they never release the final boss. And even beyond that, they never even explain the game we're playing.
It's all just a divide plan at this point. Maybe within 10-15 years or so we'll be able to reach a discussion but right now all solid opinions are being blocked in favor of the radical ones on either side.
