All Danganronpa anime are shit or mediocre. I've never tried any of the manga, but I intend to try Killer Killer some time.
As for the light novels, IF is wish-fulfillment crap, and DR:Togami sucks. The only good one is Zero, although I haven't tried DR Kirigiri yet.
The best part of the franchise is the games, but Sup Forums obviously isn't the place to discuss that.

I love the series, but the anime adaptations are pure fucking shit, especially Danganronpa 3, which ruined the mystery of a bunch of shit and gave a lame "brainwashing" meme twist that removed all semblance of depth to the actions of the cast from Danganronpa 2. Not to mention everyone returning as if nothing fucking happened.

The characters can be too over the top, but I prefer this setting compared to setting where there is 13 similar characters without any personality. I rarely play any weeb games (or games in general lul), but the games are really fun and have nice story to them. I enjoyed them and would recommend to others.
