As said in previous thread, the dead man switch was uploaded as a transaction in multiple parts and it has to be crafted in a way to carry the information with the transaction details and since its destination was bogus so that it would remain in the buffer pool and get copied to everyone's wallet database.
The mempool was flooded as soon as it happened and much of the internet was attacked.
