3-gatsu no Lion 2nd Season

So Sup Forums what is your excuse to not watching AOTY?

I don't know anything about shogi

Read the manga before the anime started. Its shit, genius player bullshit drama stuff though I dropped it around chapter 8-15.

What does the water mean? It's a huge motif in the series. Does it mean depression?

You don't need to know anything about shogi. The few matches are fun to watch because they focus on the characters and their thoughts, not on the shogi pieces.

I think with the background the MC has the drama feels real enough and his character progression is rather enjoyable to see

I'm not a fag.

That was a great scene. Was laughing the entire time.

Kamakura murdering a wall after loosing was a nice touch

I've read the manga, I'll come back to the anime later to watch my favorite arcs. I love how many different artists they got to draw the ED cards:
>yotsuba mangaka
>miura
>aria mangaka
>bkub
>fist of the north star mangaka
>hajime ueda
>kenshi yonezu
>vofan
>aoki ume
>moyocco anno
And the list goes on

So when will he stop suffering? At this point it just feels like they are dragging things out, is the equivalent of a battle shounen with a new villain every arc.

I already read the manga and the anime adaption is complete shit. Thanks Shaft.

He already stopped suffering, watch the latest episode. From now on it's healing.

Amano Kozue is love

...

How come this series is so underreprecent, its a quite good watch

Brainlet filter

I don't want to wait each week in pain. I'll watch it once it's over. How is it so far? Better than S1?

It really picks up, you can tell Rei have undergone some development and starts socialising ever so slightly

Cliche characters and drama.

Overacting.

Transition between drama and comedy is awful.

Comedy is very, very bad.

Mediocre animation and art for the most part.

Repetitive visual allegories (queue MC literally drowning in his own thoughts scene for the 14th time)

Main character has a very forced tragic backstory, it seems like everything bad that could've happened to him, happened. I can't shake the feeling that they just did it so we could feel bad for him, but he has never earned it.

I'm still watching this even though it's so boring it's torture half the time. I hate the scenes with the girl characters and the fat rich kid who's going to die.

The melancholy shogi scenes are good, though. Shimada's arc was the best so far.

Overrated tone-deaf shit with a terrible narrative structure too faithful to the source to have any life of its own.

I haven't seen the first season yet but its on my watchlist
