Not all of us are blind followers. Some of us like Trump but are critical of his actions. The omnibus bill should have been veto'd. He is definitely the best presidential candidate of 2016 but that move rubbed me the wrong way.

I still don't like Bolton and would rather to have Flynn back. That said Bolton advises Trump in an unofficial capacity since 2017 at very least and having him in the White House at the eve of negotiations with NK is not surprising.

literally nothing bru

Omnibus was why I was being sarcastic. Couldn't get most to even admit it was something worth calling out. Just, "Hurr twust Trump daaaa!" over and over again.

This. I'm not "off the Trump Train" or anything over it, but it definitely didn't make happy. Especially after he waved the veto in our faces only to ultimately not go through with it.

>veto omnibus bill
>domestic fiscal crisis while trying to look tough on NoKo
>dems point finger @ trump saying "what a fucking partisan hack"

They were going to do that regardless, on top of the media gas lighting all you retards said would happen. That shit is happening whether you do one thing or the other so might as well have done the thing that wouldn't piss off your supporters. But nevermind, "reasons" is more important.

> The omnibus bill should have been veto'd
I wouldn't have veto'd it, a "Trump Shutdown" that ended up losing that military funding and likely ending up with an even worse deal would be catastrophic. I would sign begrudgingly and then

> convene an immediate meeting with the whole cabinet, republican house leadership and republican senate leadership
> fire Marc Short, the White House liaison for legislative affairs because I'm 100% sure it's him feeding bad information to Trump on the state of legislative affairs given that Trump thought he was spending money on "a few democrat giveaways" until a few hours before the signing (meaning he didn't know what was being negotiated in his name until then)
> give Paul Ryan notice that he's backing Scalise for Speaker of the House if the republicans keep it in 2019
> give McConnell notice that he's a fucking turtle that should be spending more money to get 65 senators

There was no veto window there, the fuckup was allowing it ever coming near Trump's desk at that state

Attached: 54354435265433.gif (900x900, 230K)

>veto just gets overridden by 2/3rd majority anyway
Followed by the right people taking the blame instead of Trump which is what has transpired. Same non-arguments as the weekend, no surprise.

>Breakthrough move: North & South Korea set April 27 as date for leaders’ summit

twitter.com/RT_com/status/979243324795179008

>tfw fucking Portugal has a better understanding of american politics than /ptg/
Agreed except I would have hoped for Rand Paul for Speaker (but it would never happen, Scalise is the correct choice) and I think the line item veto was dead in the water from before he suggested it, we've already been through this shit.

>Bolton brought onto the team in official role was sole reason of signaling to Norks that Trump mean business with that "fire and fury" talk. He's this season Scaramucci, one job and he's out when it's done. K.. I believe this 95% however I also believe he is trying to build a successful cohesive: loose, yet effective defensive and reactionary pact between Arab oil states w/ Israel against Iranian hegemonization and aggression

> and high quality propaganda and snuff videos in such quantity
True. Few people understand that ISIS media and propaganda team are the Saddam media and propaganda team that got sidelined by the stupid decision by America to deny public service jobs to anyone involved in Saddam's regime. That meant there was a fully trained and equipped government force ready to assist 500 actual fighters into taking over half of Iraq and Syria.

>taking the blame
What fucking blame the only people bitching about it are hard-right republican fiscal conservatives that won't touch a democrat with a 10 and a half foot pole.

Sorry Trump hurt your fee fees but politics is a man's game.

>this might be, as Josh Barro says, the first slow news week of the administration.
>Reporters, conditioned over the last year and change to a pace of news that rivals Mo Farah, are a little freaked out.

>the president has clammed up. (Regarding Stormy, etc.)

>It’s hard to find a reason for this. There are legal and political reasons why it might be wise for the president to keep quiet, but that has hardly swayed him in the past. Trump has defied political conventional wisdom repeatedly, and he’s done things that practically no lawyer would recommend, like quizzing people who have spoken to Special Counsel Robert Mueller about their interviews—especially dangerous given that Trump is already under scrutiny for possible obstruction of justice.

>Indeed, the president has at times shown a perverse tendency to do something simply because he’s been told not to.

>The silence has also led to speculation that something nefarious might be afoot.

>The period of relative quiet began with a classic Trumpian outburst. On Friday, the president found himself compelled to sign an omnibus budget bill that he hated—not unjustifiably, since it was a repudiation of his administration’s budget and many of his own priorities, even if his method of expressing that discontent was ineffective. Since then, he has gone quiet.

>It is not only on Twitter that Trump is quiet. Trump’s schedule has been unusually light since the hastily convened session Friday where he railed against the spending bill. Beyond some minor meetings, there’s not much listed. the schedule doesn’t list everything a president does, but the comparison with Trump’s usual routine is instructive. Furthermore, although the president often makes remarks to pool reporters during the day, there have been no events open to press, and weekend pool reporters at Mar-a-Lago barely set eyes on Trump.
>This offers a nice case study in just how much the president himself drives the news cycle.

Who do so many libertarians romanticize immigrants? Immigration should be next to impossible if not outright impossible. Do they really think think foreigners will vote where but left? Why would you want foreigners here either way?

Ron has been retired since 2013 though.
Scalise is the #1 choice out of this field.

Natural immigration is great. people that have enough money and intelligence to start businesses are great for every country.
But welfare immigrants guarantee hell on earth.

This is why welfare is the real problem, not immigration. Getting rid of all welfare fixes the immigration issue and a thousand other problems.

the fuck are you saying?
weirdo fucking larping the fuck is wrong with you?

He called your bluff

It's a dunecoon living in Australia LARPing as Syrian freedom fighter.

With the current heated debate over gun rights and the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution (which serves to affirm our natural rights…rights we have whether the State recognizes them or not), I thought it might be interesting to talk briefly about the Battle of Athens. If you’re like a lot of people, you probably haven’t heard about this event. I know I hadn’t until a few years ago, which is kind of surprising, considering how much the media and the left constantly drone on over various historical “milestones” revolving around identity politics (race, gender, social justice, etc.). But I guess this doesn’t really fit the narrative, as it revolves around the South, and regular folks resisting their local government – and perhaps even a form of the Police State – through exercising their right to keep and bear arms.

The Battle of Athens, which happened August 1-2, 1946 in McMinn County, Tennessee, was the result of some 3000 veterans returning home at the end of World War II. Unhappy with the roughshod political corruption, fraud, control over newspapers, schools and police “fee gathering” that had been going on in McMinn County while they were away from home – with even a couple of servicemen shot and killed by the police while home on leave – these guys decided to do something about it. So like any sensible group of people would do, they organized and decided to run a number of nonpartisan candidates for positions in the local government.

However, the local sheriff and the political machine evidently felt threatened by such activity, and brought in 200 armed deputies to intimidate people at the polls. Former veterans were beaten, and one poll watcher was reportedly shot. After multiple other incidents, the sheriff opted to take the ballot boxes to the jail for counting.

Attached: battleofathens.jpg (570x392, 89K)

weirdness

Much of the McMinn County citizenry smelled a rat (so to speak), and the former vets surrounded and laid siege to the jail after gathering up firearms and ammo. After gunfire was exchanged, the GIs dynamited the jail during the early hours of August 2 and forced the occupants inside to surrender. After posting guards to secure the ballots, the votes were counted and the corrupt government leaders were voted out.

Miraculously, no-one was killed – although there were quite a number who were seriously injured and required hospitalization. However, the people of McMinn County, Tennessee were once again free to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Something they might not have been able to do if the citizens were only armed with sling-shots and squirt guns. So…still confused as to why guys like Thomas Jefferson believed that the right of the people to keep and bear arms, and that it shouldn’t be infringed upon by the government was and is considered such an important thing?

Attached: SadMcCain.jpg (384x384, 18K)

Right and there isn't a single libertarian that even knows what an aleppo is. How about a merit-based immigration system so we get STEM PhDs instead of pushing girls into STEM so they can fucking fail their entire life.

And merit-based immigrants probably commit less crime, you're bitching about illegals and chain migrants that shouldn't be allowed.

In short, you are full of shit and a shill.
