Which really kills the hype for Movie 2 for me. I like Ikeda's designs. I mean she did bring Natsuki, Yuko and Kaori to the table. It's just that it's fucking unfair now that Nishigod is put up against her in the second movie.

I never did like the Hibike designs. They always felt "cheap" to me. I don't know how to explain it.
They're kinda bland and the lines are too thick. There's something else that bothers me but I can't explain it either.
I prefer the character designs but I vastly prefer Ishihara's directing to Yamada's.

It's mostly the linework. Nishiya is just so much better than her and it shows.
I think it may be the colors for me, especially in the eyes, hair, and cheeks. It seems like Ikeda's designs had a lot of light reflection and lighter colors, while Nishiya's designs have much more solid, darker colors.
