> How come women often write better male characters than men can?
Never.
> Do Japanese women just have good taste?
No. And neither do you.
> Are Japanese men just braindead submissive losers?
Yes.

>Do Japanese women just have good taste?
Yes.

Because you're biased toward the cases where they write good male characters in series targeted to you.

Would make sense considering most of Sup Forums is pretty gay.

Gay's got nothing to do with it, male characters written by women are in general more intelligent and relatable.

There are several things going on here.
>1. Men hate men. Women love men.
Many men hate other men to varying degrees. It gets worse the further you go into anime fandom. For instance, /u/ is hairy, sweaty, disgusting men who despise the male race and wish everyone with a Y-chromosome would die a painful death. Meanwhile, women tend to love men, seeing them as brothers, sons, fathers, and husbands.

>Women are attracted to men. Meanwhile, men have no pride in their own sexuality.
Because women are attracted to men, they often write strong, handsome, respectable male characters. Meanwhile, men feel that other men are disgusting and purposely flood fiction with disgusting, ugly, pathetic male characters as a reflection of their self-hatred.

>Men are insecure.
Particularly in anime fandom, men are scared of strong males. They know how pathetic they themselves are, so they start to cry when they see fictional male characters accomplish anything. That's why male anime fans gravitate towards pathetic loser male characters with small penises.

You can almost always count on women to do men justice. Men, on the other hand, are a mixed bag.

>How come women often write better male characters than men can?
1. They don't.
2. Kazuma is written by a man.

If Otoyomegatari were written by a man, the little shota would have gotten beaten up and been forced to watch his waifu raped in front of him. There's nothing Japanese male authors love more than to have their male leads lose and fail to protect the girl.

Where do you get your information from

t. woman

Men written by women are usually the exact opposite of respectable but horrid people.

Gay men have good taste in men. Women don't.

Sure thing pal.

>Sup Forums complains about male characters in anime being poorly written
>Sup Forums and /u/ complain about male characters existing
>"Hey guys, this series by a female author actually has really good male characters."

Gay men have faggot taste in men. Women have good taste in men.

>"Hey guys, this series by a female author actually has really good male characters."
Things that never happen.

The issue is that you can't judge men by looking at Sup Forums.

Core-Sup Forums is meant to be the absolute dregs of society - a bunch of single, frustrated, lonely, angry men with few friends, let alone girlfriends. People who use anime and manga not as entertainment, but as escapism.

>implying he wouldn't perfectly fit in bara manga

Ha ha, right. Those shoujo boyfriend characters are such horrid people.

Full Metal Alchemist. Only one I can think of.

More often than not they are.

Konosuba wasn't written by a woman.

How many shoujo have you read?

This thread reeks of guys who stutter like beta faggots when they talk to women.

>talking to women
>talking to anyone

That includes you too faggot

Keep the projecting down a little bit, I like anime because it's fun

>women
Neither for music, nor for poetry, nor for fine art have they any real or true sense and susceptibility, and it is mere mockery on their part, in their desire to please, if they affect any such thing.

This makes them incapable of taking a purely objective interest in anything, and the reason for it is, I fancy, as follows. A man strives to get direct mastery over things either by understanding them or by compulsion. But a woman is always and everywhere driven to indirect mastery, namely through a man; all her direct mastery being limited to him alone. Therefore it lies in woman’s nature to look upon everything only as a means for winning man, and her interest in anything else is always a simulated one, a mere roundabout way to gain her ends, consisting of coquetry and pretence. Hence Rousseau said, Les femmes, en général, n’aiment aucun art, ne se connoissent à aucun et n’ont aucun génie (Lettre à d’Alembert, note xx.). Every one who can see through a sham must have found this to be the case. One need only watch the way they behave at a concert, the opera, or the play; the childish simplicity, for instance, with which they keep on chattering during the finest passages in the greatest masterpieces. If it is true that the Greeks forbade women to go to the play, they acted in a right way; for they would at any rate be able to hear something. In our day it would be more appropriate to substitute taceat mulier in theatro for taceat mulier in ecclesia; and this might perhaps be put up in big letters on the curtain.

Kazuma is literally just a shitty self insert for the man who wrote him.

Nothing different can be expected of women if it is borne in mind that the most eminent of the whole sex have never accomplished anything in the fine arts that is really great, genuine, and original, or given to the world any kind of work of permanent value. This is most striking in regard to painting, the technique of which is as much within their reach as within ours; this is why they pursue it so industriously. Still, they have not a single great painting to show, for the simple reason that they lack that objectivity of mind which is precisely what is so directly necessary in painting. They always stick to what is subjective. For this reason, ordinary women have no susceptibility for painting at all: for natura non facet saltum. And Huarte, in his book which has been famous for three hundred years, Examen de ingenios para las scienzias, contends that women do not possess the higher capacities. Individual and partial exceptions do not alter the matter; women are and remain, taken altogether, the most thorough and incurable philistines; and because of the extremely absurd arrangement which allows them to share the position and title of their husbands they are a constant stimulus to his ignoble ambitions. And further, it is because they are philistines that modern society, to which they give the tone and where they have sway, has become corrupted. As regards their position, one should be guided by Napoleon’s maxim, Les femmes n’ont pas de rang; and regarding them in other things, Chamfort says very truly: Elles sont faites pour commercer avec nos faiblesses avec notre folie, mais non avec notre raison. Il existe entre elles et les hommes des sympathies d’épiderme et très-peu de sympathies d’esprit d’âme et de caractère. They are the sexus sequior, the second sex in every respect, therefore their weaknesses should be spared, but to treat women with extreme reverence is ridiculous, and lowers us in their own eyes.

>nuanced, three-dimensional male character, who can be heroic, deplorable, and relatable at the same time
>written by a woman
>directed on screen by a woman

>No. Women can write some captivating male characters, but generally they're not very relatable.
see Stupid faggot. This is why faggots shouldn't be allowed to post on Sup Forums.

It's really like he was taken straight from my diary.

If I had one, of course

When nature divided the human race into two parts, she did not cut it exactly through the middle! The difference between the positive and negative poles, according to polarity, is not merely qualitative but also quantitative. And it was in this light that the ancients and people of the East regarded woman; they recognised her true position better than we, with our old French ideas of gallantry and absurd veneration, that highest product of Christian–Teutonic stupidity. These ideas have only served to make them arrogant and imperious, to such an extent as to remind one at times of the holy apes in Benares, who, in the consciousness of their holiness and inviolability, think they can do anything and everything they please.

In the West, the woman, that is to say the “lady,” finds herself in a fausse position; for woman, rightly named by the ancients sexus sequior, is by no means fit to be the object of our honour and veneration, or to hold her head higher than man and to have the same rights as he. The consequences of this fausse position are sufficiently clear. Accordingly, it would be a very desirable thing if this Number Two of the human race in Europe were assigned her natural position, and the lady-grievance got rid of, which is not only ridiculed by the whole of Asia, but would have been equally ridiculed by Greece and Rome. The result of this would be that the condition of our social, civil, and political affairs would be incalculably improved. The Salic law would be unnecessary; it would be a superfluous truism. The European lady, strictly speaking, is a creature who should not exist at all; but there ought to be housekeepers, and young girls who hope to become such; and they should be brought up not to be arrogant, but to be domesticated and submissive. It is exactly because there are ladies in Europe that women of a lower standing, that is to say, the greater majority of the sex, are much more unhappy than they are in the East.

>more intelligent
Because intelligence is considered more attractive/charming. Particularly by women when accompanied with good looks.
>relatable
No. Women can write some captivating male characters, but generally they're not very relatable. Being honest, many characters written by men are relatable but get trashed just because they don't act the way people want them to.

The thing is it takes skill to be able to write stories and characters to appeal to a demographic outside your own. That's commendable in itself. Though I want to know why there aren't more notable male mangaka who write works for females.
Wow, one example. Do you want a prize, you baboon?

Your post is just saying men hate other men. Not only does that only apply to a minority but can be said of the other side, because there are women who hate women and are into series only for the male characters. Men, loving women, can be said to be doing them justice, while women are a mixed bag.

I regret making this thread.

But I like what you just did riling up all these people.

I think the jump in self insert isekai has a lot to do with it. Women don't insert so why write whatever characters they want meanwhile men insert so they want to have a character they can relate to

Women write the kind of men women are attracted to. They don't necessarily write the kind of men that would be good comrades to other men though. This is likely because women lack the insider's perspective, only looking at men from a distance rather than intuitively understanding the interaction between men like men do, which is why men reading shoujo/jousei works often feel appalled by the male characters as they seem all too hostile and non-agreeable. Female readers don't notice this of course. Perhaps it is similar for men writing women, but obviously most men wouldn't notice either.

In general, men will have a better experience reading stories written by men and women will have a better experience reading stories written by women. There are outliers of course, but those only confirm the tendency.

The ability to read is a valuable skill to have on an imageboard.
>Core-Sup Forums
If you have a functional life you're happy with, contribute to society, and have actual relationships with actual human beings, you aren't it.

From what universe did you come from?

This is some Sup Forums shit. Please sage and report.

>Kazuma
Not even the best NEET.

>For instance, /u/ is hairy, sweaty, disgusting men who despise the male race and wish everyone with a Y-chromosome would die a painful death
Lie, /u/ is for the beautiful and intelligent

Agreed. And /u/ is even worse.

The boys from Working!! were written by a woman, and they're nuanced.

...

...

Get the fuck out, bitch

Men are all neutral towards each other until given a reason to hate

Women hate each other for the sake of hating something

>beta girl falls in love with abusive boy
>WIMMIN AMIRITE

>beta boy falls in love with abusive tsundere
>GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD

It helps not to be autistic.

beastars is really good portraying moody teens who are also anthropomorphic animals

Not quite. Guys like tsunderes who are usually pretty easygoing girls that are embarrassed about their feelings so they act out by being rude to overcome.

Girls like stories about genuine psychopaths who happen to use their self insert as a chewtoy.

Plenty of tsunderes are abusive, and plenty of female love interests are violent yandere. Stop being a hypocrite. You have absolutely no leg to stand on. If anything, men are more masochistic than women are, at least when it comes to anime fans.

>Men are all neutral towards each other until given a reason to hate
Then explain /u/.

Ishida's self-loathing hit home so hard I cried when his mom talked him out of suicide, his VA was amazing as well.

Who is the best female mangaka in terms of writing do you think?

>Amir steps up and kills the aggressor in self-defense
>the adrenaline rush has gotten her hot and bothered
>she considers the potential consequences had the encounter gone differently
>wants to preempt any potential risk of NTR in the event a future such encounter occurs
>she drags Karluk off, forces him into submission and drags him kicking and screaming into manhood to spare herself the indignity of her first time being taken by a loathsome degenerate

Did you forget that this place is full of cucks? Of course a story about a abusive demon will get praise

Kaoru Mori has great art and settings, but her narratives aren't spectacular. Arakawa Hiromu is certainly up there.

Is this seriously how it looks from an outsiders perspective? I can't imagine anyone seriously believing this unless they hang around women in a really hostile environment (I've met a lot of nasty nurses) or they're just one of the bitter people who struggles with social interaction in general.
The nicest people I know are women, the girls at my work and I all get along great whereas a couple of the male coworkers have rivalries that extend to the point of stomping out screaming mid-shift, and none of them seem particularly close otherwise. And the nicest girls in the world are drunk girls slurringly but sincerely complimenting your appearance in bathrooms.

The Toradora girl violently beat the MC at the beginning.

>If anything, men are more masochistic than women are, at least when it comes to anime fans.
They're just more accepting in general. Big guys take all sorts of abusive shit from their SOs just because they're women and smaller. It's really fucked up backwards thinking in this day and age.

>The nicest people I know are women
It's the opposite for me. Different place different experience.

Sounds like you hang out with a bunch of spineless losers, then. If your partner is violent and abusive then leave them. It's the same attitude I have towards dumb bitches who claim that their alcoholic BF loves and needs them the fifth time he's smacked them around.

No, go to any American city and it's full of guys like that. They're fit, they're nice, and they're stable middle class, and they put up with abusive girlfriends and wives.

So you're claiming that American men are spineless cowards who do nothing and say nothing about an apparent epidemic of abusive women?
I'm highly suspicious.

>Do Japanese women just have good taste?
The vast majority of Japanese women's ideal man is a white man like Rance.

>Rance

/u/ is filled with angry dykes.

It's true.

The funny thing is they convince themselves others are ill for not liking it.

That makes it all the more egregious.

There are female yurifags, arguably more than male yaoifags.

True, but it's also filled with angry beta males who wish they were dykes.

>Not knowing about our current cucked society.

Do you even 2k17?

It's almost like that's what happens when society treats male abuse victims as the butt of jokes.

welcome to /teen/ - underage general

That's probably true, only because yuri appeals to heterosexual women for some strange reason. Fan girls are weird creatures who can enjoy romance, regardless of the sexuality of the characters.

>Implying that most female Yurifags are straight.
Who are you trying to fool?!

>?!
die teen

Nice try, but you still failed miserably.

unbelievably teenaged post

All of you kill yourself please

Kazuma was written by a man. Dumb fucking faggot.

king of dweebs

You're not impressing anyone user, but I will let you have the last word if it helps you to sleep, go ahead.

mad as hell

It's not pointless. A lot of us are sick of pathetic, loser, beta male faggots infesting our series, and we've noticed that female authors treat men with more dignity and respect than male authors do.

Reminder: a male author wrote this protagonist and thought it was a good idea.

Go be a self hating subhuman back over at twitter.

It's not like a male author can't do that

>self hating
Male authors who write pathetic, loser male characters are self-hating. Meanwhile, female authors actually like men and see value in masculinity.

Compare that shithead from Sakurasou to, say, Ryuuji. There's no comparison. One is a loser self-insert, whereas the other one is an interesting, well-written character with different sides to him.

Sure thing buddy, but you might as well go projecting somewhere else. If not for the last lite it would be /u/ the post.

It's interesting to say the least.
The author of this series had a male character say he didn't mind the woman he liked sleeping around with other men like it's some hobby and didn't care when she said she'd keep doing it after they married.

Sorata is a protagonist of a dumbshit romcom filled with melodrama no one ought to take seriously; people entertain that sort of shit for the girls, particularly the autistic girl.

1. Repressed homosexuals who want to be dykes
2. Angry dykes
3. Solidification of insecurities through bandwagoning and removal of agitators.

>Sup Forums is one person

And while the argument about author's gender playing a major role in creating interesting characters is mostly shit comprised of projected fobias and insecurities, the reality of anime/manga medium being filled with abhorent, unimaginative writers, unimpressive directors and screenwriters with the main target demographic consisting of hormone-fueled teenagers, tends to result in the most typical choice for the cast - the beta-cuck MC and borderline bipolar bitch. So often then not one might find the supporting cast having much more though (experimentation) put into them then the main band. Although i do realize that certain genres (seinen) are dominated disproportionately by one sex, due to the specific matters at hand.

We can argue about whether male authors or female authors are better, but female authors writing stronger male characters is a measurable trend. You almost never see a worthless, loser, otaku-self-insert male lead in a story written by a female author. Meanwhile, you see that relatively often in stories written by men.
