Back when it was eroge, the girls didn't look like hookers.

currybutt
always currybutt

Only a couple routes were good
>Ciel
>Hisui
>Kohaku
The rest were trash. It was better because servants are a retarded concept and ruins good TM characters. Imagine if Medea or Illya was in Tsukihime. It would have been amazing.

...

Akiha's was way better than 'have nightmares and reveal stuff already explained in other routes' that was Hisui's.

Nostalgia

>Hisui
Hisui was great but her route was absolute shit
>shiki lies in bed for half the fucking route going insane

Akiha's route turned to shit after it was revealed Shiki didn't actually die.

The only low point of the route desu.

Sakura's route turned to shit after it was revealed Shirou didn't actually die.

>Ciel
>good
Literally Arcueid 2.0. with a completely nonsensical romance (Ciel and Shiki had absolutely zero romantic development that she didn't nullify with the memory manipulation, and even Arihiko had better chemistry with her) and a finale that dragged on and on.

Now this is shit taste. Hisui is easily the best route because of Kohaku and the insane horror aspects (Hisui herself is bland as fuck, though).

Damnit user I'm not done with HF yet.

better get on with it mate
the climax is fucking intense

HF has five different endings

>Normal
>True
>Sparks Liner High
>Femme Fatale
>Mind of Steel

Remind me which one's Femme Fatale?
Is that the one where Illya kills you?

Explain to me the appeal of Typeshit

It's the one where Rin shittalks Dark Sakura about how she deserved all her suffering, then gets BTFO when Sakura makes Rin live through the same experiences as her.

no

Sup Forums told me it's good so I pretend to enjoy it. It's still better than monogatari.

This, Ciel is so perfect.

The character designs are different.

desu I was playing it the other day, and the h-scenes... Jesus, the art was pretty awful.

What about Ciel's route?

>...
Fuck off crossboarder

?

Oh shit, I thought that was part of the normal route. Looks like I need to play it again

>the art was pretty awful
I came straight from Higurashi and Umineko so the art was incredible in comparison

>from Higurashi and Umineko
Oh yeah, absolutely, the art in comparison is awesome.
MInd you, I only think the art in the h-scenes is awful. Otherwise, while mid 2000's anime as fuck, it's awesomely drawn.

Lurk more.

Top tier atmosphere.
Memorable, but simple designs.
Story with a limited scope, fleshed out cast of characters, solid worldbuilding.
Good protagonists.
Limited, yet memorable OST youtube.com/watch?v=TJLo3oyjRcE

Everything that modern TM is not.

yeah, it's really striking. I kinda wish they still did it in that style.
I still think there's something charming about Ryukishi's art, even if it's objectively terrible.
The PS2 art just doesn't work in the "uso da" moments.

>never finished reading Tsukihime

Should I finish it this winter break? It's not gonna take me 80 hours like fate did right?

What's wrong with modern TM?

Shit that track is nice, I originally played it through some external application that let me run it at 1280x720 windowed instead of either 800x600 or fullscreen were everything looked like shit but was incompatible with the audio so played it in silence. I feel like I missed out.

You should. It's only 30-50 hours, quite a bit shorter than FSN.

It's the exact opposite of all of those good points I mentioned.
Except the OST, which is still cool at times (but the best tracks tend to be remixes of music from older works).

Worth it for the far side routes, just power through.

Hell yeah. Bear in mind that Near Side of the Moon (Arc and Ciel) can be hard, but Far Side of the Moon makes up for all.

What is TM's best VN?

>Tsukihime
>Kagetsu Tohya
>Fate/stay night
>Fate/hollow ataraxia
>Mahoutsukai no Yoru

F/SN > Tsuki > KT > FHA

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I enjoyed KT way more than HA. I also think it's more consistent, and has better moments.
Not reading Mahoyo with only a partial patch.

You've already got it in the correct order.

You kinda did, I can't imagine going through a whole VN without ANY soundtrack. Did you at least get some of your own music?
800x600 was good, I enjoyed the true year 2000 experience.

The VN's soundtrack gets repetitive, but there are some really poignant ones, that only get better as the years go by.

Honestly, even the standard "daily life" track had me tearing up the other day.

Why are fate and muvluv so overrated?
