I write and direct my own anime.

Does it matter? Does anything matter?

I'd say 4; I'm in the Yeah LotGH Sounds Really Good But It's So Long-tier

I watch anime that are visually an experience or character driven. I don't wank myself over having seen trash like Gundam just because it's bottom of the barrel as your picture suggests.

somewhere between 5 and 6

Shit chart. I'm all over the place.

>totoro
>mononoke
do ghibli movies count as anime?

4 bordering on 5, I liked Blood Royale but I don't feel like I deserve tier 6

that's just IRL for me

Tier 6, but once you get past tier 3 this list means nothing and just depends on someone's taste

>tex
>logth
>macross 7
>tokyo godfathers (which has like 25k votes on fucking imdb)
>this far fucking down

>patlabor
>rahxephon
>sora no woto
>this far fucking up compared to the shit i listed above

very interesting. pretty that literally everybody is atleast tier5 based on how common some of the stuff down there is.

All of them at once, in a sense. I don't have a well-defined taste so I'm often looking to watch something wildly different from what I've watched before. I can find something to enjoy in SAO and eotens, and I also like obscure random OVAs, "deep" shows, watched almost every cgdct there is and a good chunk of robots and hooked on rapparu's short animations.

>Japanese animated films made by a Japanese director, working for a Japanese studio based in Tokyo, Japan
I'm not sure

They are animated films made in japan.
Why wouldn't they count as anime?

I've started from level 4

Doesn't it have to be a series with multiple episodes to be considered anime though? Or at least that's what I thought.

I agree, for me I started down in the chart and made my way up.

Anime=animation=cartoons

>G reko tier 5
It came out like two years ago and it was bad, that doesn't make it obscure.

Why is Turn A so far down.

Going by that logic not even Akira can't be considered anime

Anime in our interpretation is animation made (at least partially) in Japan, or Asian cartoons heavily inspired by it (King's Avatar discussions were accepted on Sup Forums afaik). Doesn't matter how long is it or anything.

mostly 3, slowly slipping in 4

pretty sure i'm tier 6 only because of 1001 nights
night on the galactic railroad's pretty much the furthest i got if we're talking actually obscure stuff, because texhnolyze isn't AS obscure anymore, lupin isn't either (though it's still lower tier 4) and angel's egg is now tier 3 because of dumbfuck youtubers

Most of the top is fairly light.

how is my neigbor totoro tier 2 but spirited away tier 1? they were both on cartoon network at the same time

I wouldn't mind if Akira was never made. Such a shit movie. Couldn't even make a single interesting scene despite all the frames

Ergo Proxy and Wolfs Rain are both worth watching. Mainly Wolfs Rain.

>paprika
>Space dandy

>Tier four

hmm im all over the place

I'm not sure if Tezuka should be that low

not really, this is just some bullshit chart for nerds

is watching tokyopop dub of intial d count as early 2000s obscurity?

>Ergo Proxy
Too edgy for me

>Wolfs Rain
I've watched it. All it gave me was homo shit.

I skipped from tier 4-5 to tier 6. The chart doesn't make sense.

Well I like Evangelion, doesn't meant I'm tier 2

Kemonozume needs to be deeper and Panty Stocking needs to be tier 1.

I haven't watched much in years but I'm entering Tier 5 based on the titles listed.

How the fuck is something like Technolyxe so far down? It’s pretty much surface level jesus fucking christ.

How the actual fuck can any of the Gundam instalments be “obscure”? This is proof that whoever made this chart was a piece of shit newfag.

>anime seen by people who go clubbing at the weekend halfway down, below moeblob stuff watched only by weirdos

>Neon Genesis Evangelion Tier 2
>End of Evangelion Tier 4
Are you retarded?

>anime
>obscure
The obscure anime aren't on that list you fucking idiot

No you fucking moron, near the bottom it says “obscure gundam shows”. Fucking inbred retard. No gundam show is obscure, that’s what I was saying.

Level 6
Gigantor

The obscure anime aren't on that list

This list isn't accurate at all with it's depths. I feel like it could serve as a decent list of shows to watch but it doesn't tell you anything about the shows or group them together meaningfully so it's pretty trash.

>it's
it is
>I feel like it could serve as a decent list of shows to watch
your feeling is off

is it just me or is everything past tier 2 just one giant tier op couldn't be fucked to actually arrange

This chart doesnt even make sense, stop trying to apply Sup Forums "pleb/patrician" memes to every other medium.
Being a fucking weeb hardly ever means only watching more obscure anime.

Level 5, but I'll never reach level 6, mostly because I can't stand old shows nor I'm interested in college projects and the like.

But that’s what I fucking implied. I don’t understand what the point in your posts are.

I'm not going to repeat myself a third time

Tier 6 is useless because literally everyone looks at Sakuga clips anyway. You’ve probably seen enough Webms to be called Tier 6.

Why is Doraemon tier 5? Everyone I know watched that shit when they were 6.

youtube.com/watch?v=RicVZJJQ40w
Tier 7

Why not?

Why is this Iceberg so easy?
Tier 5 is practically entry level

>trying to push elitism over chinese cartoons
laughingwhores.jpeg

between 3and 4

Yes you fucking moron. Anime are Nip cartoons. Thats it.

>mobile suit gundam below rahxephon and infinite ryvius
what did he mean by this

>You’ve probably seen enough Webms to be called Tier 6.

Now that you mention it, you are right.

Also, gree completed, red dropped, yellow partial.

I'm in 5 by sheer coincidence but your chart is dumb. Plenty of crap in 3 and 4 ought to be in 1 or 2.

>dropped panty and stocking
but why

this chart is literally just 'have you watched a mecha anime' to win

I'm currently trying to see pre-Toei works from an author's perspective: Murata, Masaoka, Ogino, Chiba, Yamamoto, Seo, Kumakawa, Oofuji, Mochinaga...

They're not obscure in the slightest, and they've more value than most things listed in upper tiers...

Also, the Tezuka porn films "obscure"? You shitting?

>obscure Gundam shows
That's some nice warning shot.

Didn't like it, not the humor, not the characters nothing really.

lmao tokyo godfathers at tier 4.5? this guy just gave up halfway down

Charts like that are worthless because different people start watching anime for different reasons, thus some have more interest in the so called "obscure" ones first. Also it implies that obscure shows are per se more experimental which is a fucking lie, a lot of them are obscure just because they are generic shit that put nothing to the table.

Between 3 and 4, wish I could watch more but wageslaving and the gym take time

Gdgd Fairies made me plunge in pretty deep, but realistically I'm around the Kuuchuu Buranko/Kaiba/Alien 9/Niea_7 zone.

Are you saying Anime movies don't exist?

>5 cm per second is listed twice
that pic is shit and OP is black

If just one is enough then I'm apparently Tier 6 since I watched one of the World Masterpiece Theater (Andes to Apennines).

If not, Tier 3.5 to 4.

>tomino below votoms
>touhou anime apparently makes you a tier 6 despite it being jap homosuck
>jojo not at the fucking top despite completely forgotten shit like magi and zoids being there
Not-just-eye-cancer chart

agreed, im tier 5-6 because i like masamune shirow and 80s anime.

Marco was made in the 70s.

On the level where I've watched literally every anime ever and am now producing my own anime.

Doesn't it count as "Pre-90s shows you have never seen anyone mention"? It isn't even mentioned in "how is your country represented in anime" threads.

Why is tier 6 shitty worthless stuff, and then randomly everything before 1960?
Dumb image, teen thread.

Deadman wonderland on tier 1?

>someone took more than an hour to make such a shit chart

Maybe you should've read the note, m8.

I'm surprised that it doesn't get mentioned then. Everyone and their mothers (and grandmas) has seen it around here, even if it's less liked than Heidi. It's made by Isao Takahata ffs.

why is girls und panzer at tier 4?

I've seen Ideon and ZZ Gundam, so I guess I'm tier 5? Chart's pretty bad though, even in Tier 4 there are well-known classics that any but the most entry-level anime viewers will have seen, hell Space Dandy is there and it was on Adult Swim.

Yeah but no one watched Dandy

I watched more shows in tier 3 when beginning anime and slowly worked my way both up and down.

Tier 5 patrician here. You could say I'm pretty deep into anime.

>A fucking pass user

>2017
>not sitting behind a vpn
sorry user, but i cant be bothered to disable it every time i post, either. pass is hardly anything considering how muhc time i spend on this shitty site.

6.

Also, tier 1 is a bit presumptuous. There's nothing stopping a person's intro to the medium being stuff from the other tiers.

I fixed your chart OP

Definitively into 5 and slowly getting into 6.

Somewhere around 5, Angel's Egg is still my favourite film.
>Erin between 4 and 5
What the fuck?

I need to watch more early 00s/90s/80s anime.

This chart is fucking retarded. for starters, 5cm per second is on here twice.
Everything on this list is in the wrong fucking place. Why is Lupin III not a lot higher?
