Okay, so get this. Right so we take this cute girls, right? And they do, brace yourself. CUTE. THINGS.

I currently have three ideas. One is too long for optimal (you) collection, one needs to be rewritten so that the MC isn't the only one who possesses the special quality, and one is just a setting idea with no actual plot.

I am curious about the setting which you don't have a plot yet.

>cyberpunk future where weapons are all laser
>MC has an old bolt action rifle (like a mosin nagant)
>delivers justice on this corrupt society

You just use the cyberpunk aesthetics, and just write an action series.
Also, with technological advantage, MC would go fucking nowhere

sorry I meant technological disadvantage of MC/technological advantage of his enemies.

Well my idea is nobody else knows what the fuck is going on/ no way to trace that weapon it' so far into the future. Nobody thinks it's a gun because of the wood furniture, that shit been phased out centuries ago.

The year is 203X. The world suffers from a great depression, and Japan is not exempt from its effects. Millions are unemployed. Crime rises to astronomical levels. The city of Tokyo becomes a battlefield as the remnants of a democracy try to control a violent street war between communists and fascists.

Society takes a downfall as public order collapses. While never conservative to begin with, the social values of the city drops to an all-time low. Prostitution and trafficking are rampant. The police had given control of the streets to crime groups and corporations.

The story covers the perspectives of multiple protagonists: an unemployed man forced to find other means of income, a young highschool girl kidnapped into a life of prostitution, and a charming young high schooler with optimistic but extremely radical views.

>At one point his Mosin Nagant gets trashed
>He rebuilds it with cutting-edge tech
>Now his Nagant is a railgun-type weapon with greater range

New technology has made it possible to measure a sort of "light" inside living things. In humans, it typically appears around the age of 3 and usually goes out some time later in life. The number of lights among a population slowly declines with age with no real point where they sharply decline. A light never comes back once it's fully gone, but it is easy to wrongly evaluate somebody as truly "lightless" unless an extensive test is performed. Various negative personality traits are associated with being lightless. A psychological evaluation will be rightly determine that somebody still has a light 97% of the time, but rightly determine that somebody is lightless only 37% of the time. The point of those numbers being that many people who seem "darkened" still have light in them, and a very small amount of people who seem "bright" are actually lightless. The latter draws a particularly high amount of hatred. Favoritism towards people who still have a light and discrimination against the lightless etc.

Real Steal: Rise of Not Skynet

Kyomanis Kenton used to be a master rogue but lost his chance to become king of thieves when rogue robots stole his jebs. Now working as a small-time apple salesman, Kyomanis pieces together scrap metal into low-end panty pickpockets, barely earning enough to make it from one otaku ghetto to the next. After hitting rock bottom, Kyomanis reluctantly teams with his estranged musume, Goyoyo, to build and train a uber-rogue robot for a last shot at redemption.

In 2063, space-cowboy Jack Taro and coolhand Annis Kyo are hired by rancher Joe Arigato as cuboid-pig herders in Neo-Wyoming.
One night on Baraki Asteroid-Field, Jack makes a drunken pass at Annis that is eventually reciprocated. Though Annis marries his longtime sweetheart, Alma, and Jack marries a fellow space-cowgirl Anne Hiroshi, the two men keep up their tortured and sporadic affair over the course of 200 years.

Its full title is "I can't believe a bunch of baka faggots broke their backs while holding hands but didn't gay marriaged."

Nice

These are the other two ideas. I don't feel like taking up thread space with them until I rewrite them.

The first is about a setting where a very powerful neural network essentially crowd sources artistry, and the second is about a surrealistic setting where the MC has the power to "fix" peoples' problems, but the abrupt nature of the power causes its own problems.

Isekai of the Accidental Technomage

While helping a summoner friend conduct an magick experimental , Blast Fondue was sucked into a vortex which pulled him into a cyberpunk/shadowrun world. Even though he was an elemental mage, he found that the basic translation spell he knew worked perfectly in the new world. Due to lack of "RealID" , he could only get shady oddjobs as a "runner" for a smalltime fixer he eventually meets up with. When his china brand cellphone exploded during a botched job which turned out to be an assassination attempt on his client, he found out he could absorb any energy emitted by electronic devices and also use them as magic catalysts including assploding stuff. Thus he started attaching random household appliances to himself to enhance his magic powers, and became the world's first TECHNOMAGE.

His helmet is a ricecooker, a toaster is hung on his belt kamen rider style, and various cracked tablet PCs cover his body. His "throne of power" is second-hand massage chair which restores his prana and allows him to dig into the memories of people 100 kilometres away, but only the lewd memories. His "it" are various junked washing machines, "ancient" kitchen stoves, and other large bulky items which have became obsolete stored inside his magicky "hammer space".

Pic related is how I imagined him to rook rike.

Bioengineering for catgirls was finally developed. They are available for a wide range of functions: from being maids, partners, or even military units.

A6M was built to become a custom-made military unit, the most powerful in the world. However, her personality chip was defective. She was self-aware, and refused to kill.

Before being sent for disposal, she manages to escape. She then begins tries to live a normal life while questioning the nature of her existence.

And in the shadows, corporations and governments are looking for her.

Fuck the theme

>Some guy finds weird legal loophole that allows minors to run for prime minister of Japan
>he and a few friends make a joke party with a cute loli as their leader
>supposed to be commentary about japanese otaku culture and/or a guerilla campaign for their small company/website/whatever
>they start actually getting decent numbers in the polls
>they end up caught up in the underground world of japanese politics

Think of it as a cross of House of Cards, the blue bear episode of Black Mirror, and CGDCT

What I write will be a regular sci-fi not a cyberpunk (but no one has written a cyberpunk here)

>The story is set in 2700's
>In 2052 NASA discovered that extraterrestial spaceships started mining in our solar system's asteroid belts
>They never responded to any attempt of communication
>At 2187 the aliens already mined most of the asteroid belt, and other plantes and moons in our solar system, with the exception of earth and our moon, and left.
>At 2700's humanity inhabited our moon, Mars and its moons, and has a few colonies in Venus and in various moons of Saturn and Jupiter
>Interstellar travel is theoretically possible, but with the solar system's depleated resources we don't have enough rare resources to build a ship capable of interstellar travel
>Humanity is now able to upload their thoughts into computers.
>Most humans don't reproduce, because they know their contiousness will not dissapear after death
>Somewhere in the series the last living human dies of old age.
>Mars is only industrialised around of its twelve startports because the planet has been already drained from its resources before humanity colonised it
>Basicly most of people who still reproduce are Neo-Amish people in Mars
That's the setting, now to the plot
>In theory there might be enough rare resources deep inside our earth to build a spaceship capable of interstellar travel
>The mining in best case would cause a magnitude 9 earthquake every day, in worst case it would cause magnitude 10 (before you ask, magnitude 10 never happened in human history, and probably never happened in earth's history. A magnitude 10 earthquake means a global catastrophe)
>There are people who already died and living as a contiousness for 200 years, tired of "living". They already experienced next to everything and philosophised next to everything
>They start a rebellion to mine those resources even if it destroys a planet
>But most of the human contiousnesses don't want that
>A war breaks out

>but no one has written a cyberpunk here)

Sorry, then most of us didn't write a cyberpunk.

Let's come up with stupider isekai summary.
A giant truck fell from the sky which caused everyone in the world to be isekai'd.

MC was a party member who sacrificed himself in order for the hero to defeat the demon king and restore peace to the world, he leaves behind his pregnant waifu. Except he didn't die, he somehow finds himself transported 20 years into the future where history books scapegoat him as the villain who caused the end of the world. Together with his estranged daughter, he slowly discovers that his party's journey 20 years ago was not what it seemed.

65 million years ago a 10km spacetruck crashed into the earth isekai-ing every dinasaur

>giant meteor that killed the dinosaurs was actually a truck
>modern day human gets issekai'd by a truck
>gets sent to dino world

Currently trying to think of legitimate goals and motivations for my shonen villain and protag that are not overused to death. Obviously it's much easier said than done. It's strange how everyone in these threads starts their stories without these two elements.
