Is Ougi canonically the prettiest character in the series?

This is one of the handful of series that actually has a canon prettiest girl, and it isn't Ougi.

My top 3 for sure. Shinobu (adult) being my top one.
Ougi's full OP dark cherry mystery was released recently. Bretty good too.

Kissshot is the canon prettiest girl in the series. Cat is probably the prettiest girl in school since no one will ever look above her breasts anyway, though math is canon above average in looks and Nadeko is canon second cutest. No idea about Ougi, but she is probably pretty/handsome like everyone else probably is.

No, but she's canonically the most well-suited girl for the protagonist.

I want to canonically fuck her sleeves

she's what you get if you merge all the girls faces

I'm about half way through monogatari second series does she show up again? she had one scene with ararararagi during the mayoi time travel arc and she creeped me the fuck out
bitch looks like ozens daughter

Yeah, she becomes pretty important. Keep watching and get out before someone spoils you.

Final season is her season.

will do, was pretty much just gonna lurk for replies trying to put on blinders to other posts but you answered so off I go

...

I sure love playing "will Sup Forums accept the captcha" roulette.

Math's mom is still there, abusing her daughter in spirit.

OH GOD YES SHE'S SO WONDERFUL

> she

BITCH WANT SUM FUK?

Are the Owari S2 Blurays out yet?
I've been holding off on watching it until a good scene group picks it up.

...

Her supposedly male version has wider hips than some of the chicks in this series.

spoopylous

Yes.

No. Canonically Bat is the prettiest, her insanely good looks were the source of her misery actually. Even her name is a reference to Kisshōten, Japanese deity of beauty, fertility, and, ironically, happiness. Although everyone seems to be quite attractive in this series.

It was actually her beautiful, perfect heart. And thank fuck Nisio decided to keep most of that as a brief summary so we can just get the parts where she's actually an interesting, compelling character instead.

>It was actually her beautiful, perfect heart
You didn't really get it. Originally her source of misery was always her desire to get real friends, significant others, who'd love her for who she is, but instead everyone praised her beauty, without noticing her good heart behind it. Her rejection of her looks was originally the reason she lost everyone. Her real misery was always about finding true friends and she was the one at fault for it.
>parts where she's actually an interesting, compelling character instead
Her early life was interesting in a sense that she made pretty strange decisions that were driven by her own ideals. We can't even call them perfect, that's what's questionable.

It's fine, she clearly deserves it.

That's mildly interesting at best. When you put it in context of miss perfect getting unfairly shat on for the most stereotypical mary sue reason ever, it becomes stupid and boring.

As expected, you didn't really get anything again. She rejected what belonged to her because she felt that she's treated unfairly and got punished for it in a folktale way. It was her fault and she was the source of her misery and she understood that pretty well. The same way Crab rejected help and contact and was miserable, the same way Cat rejected herself and was miserable, they were all at fault for their own misery.

>i don't have any real friends and i'd like people to see me for who i am instead of my looks
>what a selfish bitch, half a millenia of suffering
No. That's fucking retarded. Even if it was "wrong" the response is so ridiculously disproportionate that it loses any sense of meaning. And you can't ignore the absolute writing sin that is a character who suffers for being "too perfect." It's just not possible for it to be taken even halfway seriously. Not even as something that gets subverted later on because the entire premise is so incredibly awful.

>Even if it was "wrong" the response is so ridiculously disproportionate that it loses any sense of meaning.
There's nothing wrong about it though, she didn't have any bad intentions there, the point is different
>And you can't ignore the absolute writing sin that is a character who suffers for being "too perfect." It's just not possible for it to be taken even halfway seriously
So, people getting treated like shit by their fate for being good is a "writing sin"? The world is full of unfair stories and examples about those whose kindness and purity were what caused them problems.
>Not even as something that gets subverted later on because the entire premise is so incredibly awful
There's nothing wrong with a premise which is written like a European folktale. Only an idiot that has never read one will complain about it being a "writing sin". Literally what the fuck. That premise gives us an insight on what kind of a person she was, what she originally lost, and what she's now slowly might be coming back to. Much like Senjougahara lost her former cheerful self, Shinobu became a ruthless killer over the years, yet their former selves slowly return by the course of the series. Both of them were kind, both of them became miserable because of circumstances, both of them were helped by Araragi.

Looks like dicking is good for Hitagi's mental health. Shinobu should try it too.
Just kidding. I know how complex and beautiful their relationships are.

What would their children look like?
Or rather, can they even have children? Like, is that something that's even biologically possible for them?

Actually I don't understand what happened in Owarimonogatari 2. Gaen wanted Araragi to kill Ougi to secure Hachikuji and the town. But Araragi didn't do it. Did Ougi become good or what?

There's bad intentions wrong, and there's thematic wrong. You were implying thematic wrong.

>people getting treated like shit by their fate for being good is a "writing sin"
In small doses, not so much. When it ruins their life, absolutely. It's a super cheap way to give "flaws" to a cartoonishly perfect person and you can practically see a 12-year old checking of that box on their baby's first character writing guideline as they dream up their waifu. Nisio gets away with Princess Beauty because it's, like, 2 pages long and you can only think of the consequences instead of the non-character. Once he gets into Acerola Bon Appetit, and she's actually written as a character you basically rely on Deathtopia and the insinuations for Shinobu to carry everything since Princess Acerola doesn't do shit.

Can't be pretty when he's a dude.

We need Shinobumonogatari translation. The chapter where Acerola talks about herself. Everything else is speculation.

Is there a torrent link for this? I can't find anything anywhere.

I really don't want to use a youtube downloader.

You can cherrypick the 40gb Owari BD batch.

>You were implying thematic wrong
Where was I implying thematic wrong?
>When it ruins their life, absolutely
So Kennedy getting shot for trying to investigate Israel's possible nuclear plant is a "writing sin"? So Gahara's hard childhood with her trying to find a proper specialist and ruining her life in the process is a "writing sin"? So Jesus getting crucified for his good deeds is a "writing sin"? Do you understand how incredibly retarded you sound?
>It's a super cheap way to give "flaws" to a cartoonishly perfect person
It's a reference to folktales, you turd, as I explained already. He could've removed the word "perfect" from there and it would've been the same tale about a good-hearted princess getting a different curse or something, makes no difference in the plot. Her life philosophy is quite specific anyway and might not be considered perfect. Choosing to become a monster and all that.
>since Princess Acerola doesn't do shit
In Bon Appetit she's basically shown as person who struggles to cure her disease, a desperate girl who's ready to gouge her eye out just to stop the purge she's causing. Her view on becoming a monster and eating people are small hints of her personality which she loses later. It's more of a prologue and an introduction to her relationship with Deathtopia to be revealed in Monster Season.

What a good character she is!

my dick

Gahara had agency in messing up her life by not accepting her emotions. The consequences were a handful of bad years, wherein she still had support from doctors and family, not half a millenium of utter misery and the deaths of thousands. Agency and proportional consequences makes it work.

>citing real life and a religious text as examples for trying to make a compelling work of fiction
Are you seriously this fucking retarded? Trying to excuse bad media with "it's realistic" is a famously terrible argument.

Princess Acerola, as a character, is boring and generic. A last chapter, mildly interesting decision to become a monster doesn't make up for the other nineteen. If she had to stand on her own, she would be mediocre at best. Her value is pretty much all in being a plot point for Shinobu, but at the moment it's not even worth it since Nisio had to over explain a bunch of Shinobu's personality and associate her with this boring phase of her character to set it up.

No, two boys can't make children yet.

>not half a millenium of utter misery and the deaths of thousands
Why are you reading a story about vampires and folk monsters if you don't like folktales with their exaggerated supernatural plots? Are you an idiot?
>Trying to excuse bad media with "it's realistic" is a famously terrible argument
I'm not trying to make an excuse. I'm saying that stories about people's lives getting ruined by their own good deeds is a perfectly fine story, exemplified by reality. It happens often, because the world is unfair and cruel.
>Princess Acerola, as a character, is boring and generic
Maybe because she was never fully unfolded? She has one story the majority of which is about Deathtopia's ramblings on her appetite.
>A last chapter, mildly interesting decision to become a monster doesn't make up for the other nineteen
And? It's not like it's her last appearance, the Monster Season is coming
>Her value is pretty much all in being a plot point for Shinobu, but at the moment it's not even worth it since Nisio had to over explain a bunch of Shinobu's personality and associate her with this boring phase of her character to set it up
Well, it's just a setup. Again, she appeared once in one chapter. We don't know much about her and making assumptions about her like this is retarded. Especially when her personality is so bizarre, choosing to become a monster, eating people, etc. Especially when there's a whole new Season in which she plays a supposedly major role.

>flaw-fetishist
What is this? Never heard stories about good people getting broken by their lives? user, you're an idiot who's butthurt of Shinobu for some reason, are you?

When Meme acknowledges her as his niece he gives her existence meaning beyond being a bitchy darkness.

Yes but what about her job?

Stop replying to him user, he is baiting you.

It becomes a second to her newfound existence. She'll still criticize and mess with Araragi, but won't be as hostile about it.

Nisio is a hack

Weak bait. Have a (You) for effort.

What job?

To punish liars

From what i got, she was born with her purpose being a fake darkness grown out of Araragi's self judgment, so her very existence wasnt allowed and when she was outed she would die, but since she took also the fake role of Meme's niece that later gets acknowledged by the very own, that became her identity, and her role as darkness is now not the thing that defines her.

So she can't go around acting like darkness (correcting wrong things), since that will be her acting wrong, but she can criticize araragi, which is what she was mostly dong already.

That was't her job.

how strange

so [s]he's a soyboy

no that'd be 12 and 17yo shinobu

aryan perfection

I really think that this is the best char design in the series.

Today at Shinjuku

Thanks, now i have the urge to re-watch Kizu.

By the way who were on the commentary tracks for owari s2?

Who needs Sodachi. She is still single.

All the characters are still single. And Araragi will get to 30 and still not marry Senjougahara for whatever reason, and then he'll get choked.

Why won't he let go of her for good?

Maybe at some point they will be on the altar about to vow, Shinobu before that ran away. Araragi then starts thinking what the hell he is doing and realises that the only person he truly wants to be with is Shinobu. Then he leaves Senjougahara alone on the altar and goes searching for Shinobu, first he goes to Mister Donuts but doesn't find her, he then goes to the old school and finds her crying. Araragi also cries and finally comfesses his love for Shinobu and tells her that he has been using Senjougahara to get ready for Shinobu because he thought he wasn't worthy of her. He says he wants to be punished for his mistakes while being bound to her. Shinobu says she will punish him, Araragi thought she was going to kill him and then gets surprised because her punishment for him is for him to kiss her. Araragi kisses Shinobu, she kisses him back and then sucks his blood making both go once again full vampire. Then after years of sexual tension they have heavy sex both vampire and human sex at the same time, and make their vow to each other again.

Wew
I'm sorry user but in Musubi Araragi feels himself like shit without Hitagi. Even with Shinobu. Nisio wants to write his story in this way.

crab a hot

Yes she is.

hnnnnggg

>Araragi feels himself like shit without Hitagi.
I'm aware, and I'm pretty everyone already came to the conclusion that the reason he feels like that is he wasted years of her life and barely did something to make up to it. That's where the idea of marrying her came from.

He doubted himself, yes. But Hitagi came back. Looks like she doesn't think it was a waste. You can't decide for her.

What? I don't mean her user, I mean him! Sodachi called out for his actions of not being faithful and putting effort into his relationship with Senjougaharaand he says she is right.
I wasn't talking about Senjougahara.

But it's pretty obvious they will break up for good soon or later.

I am surprised people other than myself love Ougi.

japanese boys look like THAT?

...

They look like this.

> But it's pretty obvious they will break up for good soon or later.
user please why do you hate her so much.

Araragi asked himself "Am I worth her? Should I go and bring her back?".
Sodachi gave him very good advice "Don't be a pussy. If you really love her then go and take her back. And let her decide for herself if you worth her or not"

I am currently watching last episode of the first Owarimonogatari season. Those this "duel" takes place at the same time that Tsuabasa Tiger took place in Nisemonogatari ? It would seem so from what Geal said and Araragi saw photo of Hanekawa in his room. But I was to be sure.

I want to know more about that new girl he befriended in Shinobumonogatari. All that's been said by people who can read nip is that Araragi values her a lot due to being the first person in fucking ages he's befriended normally as opposed to meeting through some bizarre oddity-related nonsense.

Yes

It does, that is why Araragi looks like shit and is wielding the Kokoro-Watari when he saves Hanekawa.

Thanks. I think I need to rewatch whole series after I finish second Owarimonogatari.

It was very badass of him.

>childsoldiers see red lights everywhere
>children in comfy 1st world see green lights
>just got done saying green lights = danger and vice versa

what did she mean by this

You were seeing that through Hanekawa's eyes to be fair.

I came up with a master plan right after I finish last episode and their duel I will watch episode in thich Araragi comes to safe Hanekawa.

How am I being a hater for speaking the truth? And what you just said is pretty much the same I said. Yes I am sure they will break up and I think I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

I think your love for crab is deluding you a little bit.

Do you think they love each other to begin with?

But he didn't meet math through some bizarre oddity-related nonsense. Though I don't see Nisio focusing too much on "normal" people, so Hamukai might be more of a plot tool unless she has some drama. I assumed Kie would be more important in monster season.

Urgh, they like each other but considering their stories and how they act I wouldn't call it love.

There is an anime that I disliked it so much but makes a good representation of these two. It's called Kuzu no honkai/Scum's wish.

She canonically is the protagonist.

>How am I being a hater for speaking the truth?
The truth is something both Batfags and Crabfags refuse to admit to be fair, because then you'd have nothing to argue about (and I dunno what'd happen at that point, you'd all kill yourselves or something maybe). Araragi's chosen both of them and has stated as such, every part of the series people here insist Nisio intended to end the series at doesn't feature Araragi choosing one over the other but rather maintaining his relationships with both.

That conclusion is one you guys find unsatisfying evidently, but it's the conclusion Nisio's written. Araragi's relationships with these chicks are only even there to frame/cause all the other shit Araragi gets involved in and his interactions with all those other characters that Nisio clearly prefers writing about instead, coupled with that I don't get why it's basically all people here talk about with this series.

> I wouldn't call it love.
Wow user. Did you even watch the show? Don't bother to answer it's pointless to argue with you if you think this way.

Araragi said that Hamukai was the first person since the Bake/Kizu happened that he befriended normally, he met Math years before that.

Fair enough, he met Nadeko and Hanekawa before all their oddity drama as well.
