Is this symbol religious

ITT: neon genesis
also, is this symbol religious?

Not directly but could be interpreted as such. 7 eyes of the lamb/god and what not. Upside down triangle can be interpreted as a yonic symbol representing the womb. You could try to add some interpretations off that.

The real issue is that it's not symmetrical and I see it posted everywhere. Even tattoes of it are way off symmetry and it bugs the hell out of me.

We'll never know...

The closest thing in existence is , which is a image of a lamb from Revelations, with 7 eyes.
Anno probably found it while doing his autistic research in Catholicism for NGE.
But in the end, it can be anything.

7 and its multiples is a holy number in the Bible.

It's the seven seals. The four on the right are the four riders of the apocalypse. Revelation 6 might give you a hint why the four eva pilots are sickly, warlike, thirsty and death-driven, respectfully.

>thirsty

Well yeah. Ten to one Shinji's picture would come up if you googled "anime character thirsty".

I'm very thirsty

No, this is a common scribble on Japanese desks that means 3-eyes loves 4-eyes. Probably someone with glasses and another with a dead eye? Monster waifu? Hard to say but someone with glasses loves 3 eyes.

>liking this shit in 2018 still

Grow up

If only there was some way of "testing" that. Ahhhh, I guess we'll never know.

>spacing like a retard and telling other people to grow up.

It's a triangle bisected into a pair of right angle triangles, what is a bisection? a vagina.

Seven Vaganias? Eight legs.

Therefore spiders are made of triangles.

That's the ultimate point of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Yui is woke and Gendo has shades. Some deep postmodern bullshit right there.
Well you need at least a little mystery in life, don't you.

...

>Kaworu
>death-driven
Also, where would that put Toji?

>also, is this symbol religious?
If GOATSE is a religion for you, sure, why not.

Either a washout or a side ho depending on how you look at him.

>implying he didn’t plan EoE form the start

Anno is great.

kuudere did not exist before Rei

Essay looks pretty valid though but I'm not expert on anime psychology

Wow, someone really took a long time writing out all of this crap, pretending to know something others don't when he just obviously doesn't too.

Evangelioni did not run out of money. The ending was canned because of the scene with Shinji beheading his friend on TV, an episode which wasn't screened to the stations prior to airing. The ending was forced on the staff after the stations refused to air what was essentially going to be EoE after they demanded to see the scripts for the final episodes after being tricked into airing episode 24

I'd say that being bitcher than Asuka is an equal accomplishment, only more noticeable.

Source? I've literally never heard this before.

You shouldn't look too deep into eva symbolism.

I guess you had to scrape for something? You sure showed him!

nope, but misato did

It's a representation of a bunch of guys (represented by the 7 eyes) watching a naked woman masturbate (inverted triangle). So basically a striptease.

you seriously think its was Ep24's airing that was the problem? Do you seriously think that after the airing of that episode they were planing to make a tv version of EoE in a week but then had to scrap it and instead they wrote, produced and aired ep 25 in less that a fucking week? Out of all the retarded crap people have said over the years about the tv ending you take the cake. Reaction to ep 24 had zero effect on why we got the last two episodes, that stuff was in the pipeline before that.

it's because he's talking out of his ass.

So shinji was just teased by the naked rei only to get a lubed up bitch with no zippers?

>sickly
Rei
>warlike
Asuka
>thirsty
Shinji
>death-driven
Kaworu

Is that right?

>It's a representation of a bunch of guys (represented by the 7 eyes)
>bunch of guys
>uneven number of eyes

Dude, it's four guys and a girl:
Shinji
Gendo
Kaworu
Asuka after getting one eye poked out.

The four riders are Conquest, War, Famine and Death. Where are you getting sickly from?

this. They didn't run out of money. They had their funding dryed out.

They weren't "tricked" into airing episode 24. Gainax were simply so late with deadlines that by the time it came to episode 24 they were literally arriving at the broadcasting station half an hour before it aired with the tapes to show on TV. They simply didn't have the time to screen it, which, when coupled with Kaworu's death, had the broadcaster claim it was to avoid screening and not simply because Gainax couldn't keep things on time in addition to budget.

It's meant to symbolize control, such as how Seele controlled much of the world like the jews they are

What abou good old pestlence? You can't have two almost identical riders trying to do the same things, the Rapture isn't a US election.

>Not directly but could be interpreted as such.
EVA in a nutshell

The first Rider is either Conquest or Pestilence depending on the interpretation.

>MALE XY
>FEMALE XX
Is this even allowed in 2018?

keep the tumblr shitposts on Sup Forums where they belong

The problem with claiming that the rider on the white horse is Pestilence is that it's rather a stretch to come to that conclusion from the verse in Revelation. The rider carries a bow, wears a crown and the Greek word just says he goes out to conquer. In addition to this is that the earliest interpretations of the rider being Pestilence are only 100 years old.

>You can't have two almost identical riders trying to do the same things, the Rapture isn't a US election
War already goes out to take peace from man and kill people. Death comes later to kill a quarter of the planet by the sword and by pestilence. What does it matter if a third horsemen also goes out to kill? By the end of Revelation every single person that's ever lived is dead.

Some insects are unironically like that.

Didn't they base that symbol off Gargoyle's from Nadia?

That is the symbol of the Lamb of God. Which appears in the old testament twice. In reference to a literal godly lamb, and in reference to Moses.

New Testament removes such horrific imagery entirely (other than the human sacrifices n shit).

Where are you getting it from that it's the symbol of the Lamb of God? And where are you getting those Old Testament verses from? "Lamb of God" only appears in the New Testament starting in the Gospel of John.

like what?, humans?

he lamb of apocalypse. Some mystic authors made cool drawings of it, I can't remember who was, Marguerite? Juliana of Norwich? Hildegaard?

That's not insects, insects are more often X0 male and XX female, it's generally birds who flip the mammalian norm of kariotypical heterogeny for males and kariotypical homogeny for women, but when a species does that the W-Z notation is used instead, so rather than being XX for male and XY for female, you say that female ducks have WZ sex chromosomes and males have ZZ sex chromosomes.

Platypuses then take the piss by having 10 sex detirming chromosomes, that functionally (in terms of how the genes on the chromosomes actually impose sex differentiation) resemble birds (no SRY gene equivalent like in mammals but AMH gene equivalent like chickens), yet overall follow a mammalian pattern in terms of being heterogenous males and homogenous for females, so have a ZZZZZWWWWW chromosome pattern for males and WWWWWWWWWW for females.

This basically confirms Platypuses long held status as Nature's designated "fuck your diagnostic criteria fuck face nerds" animal.

jump in an oven

>mfw

who let the biodork in

The pauses weren't caused by budget or dealines, Anno would have put them in anyways. Remember that the first time Shinji runs away, pic related goes on for about a minute.

It's NGE, it doesn't mean anything.

What's the from?

Geeze, I meant what's that from.

Ten to one it's dorohedoro

Also, in the DC episode with the elevator scene, its kept in at the same length.

They're made to make you uncomfortable and think about what's going on through the minds of the characters.

IMAGINE

Isn't the triangle meant to represent the trinity of the godhead
