Why is fanservice for women so difficult to find in manga?

Why is fanservice for women so difficult to find in manga?

>Why is fanservice for faggots so difficult to find in manga?

pic unrelated

This is some manly shit you cunt.

It isn't? Mainstream shit even has it

Because women like power and social status more than someones visual properties.

But there is a lot of it for lesbians

Depends on the individual.

because you're looking exclusively at shounen and seinen and not shoujo and josei

also your pic is unrelated, Bara is to appeal to the gay community

What was the last manga that showed a woman having sex from the woman's POV?

The one pictured? (notice the boob angle) Or are you asking for more examples?

...

Examples. Usually it's the man's POV of him getting sucked or him fucking women.

Kishi threw a bone every now and then

...

Likely it would be in a manga where the primary POV is a woman, like a josei. I'm sure if you Google mature josei or something along those lines you'll find something

Naruto and Kakashi's faces are expressing exactly what most guys think when fanservice for women is implemented. It's really jarring to see, hence the lack of it. Women seeing fanservice of women doesn't seem to influence sales very much at all.

It's a free market economy. If there was significant demand for it, artists - male and female- would step up to deliver and cash in.

The fact that it's not really common is reflective of the low demand. It's common sense. In R/L, 99% of all hookers are women servicing men, too. (although this is probably more a function of the high supply of male sex vs. low supply of female sex, 'dick is free', etc.; but it's related.)

The fact is, male demand for sexual content (and sex) vastly outstrips female demand for those things. If you've lived on planet earth for any period of time and spoken to men and women, this won't come as a surprise.

Straight women don't care about fanservice. Lesbian women read yaoi/yuri. Gay men read things like what you posted.

>Why is fanservice for women so difficult to find in manga?
Because you're reading shounen manga which is aimed at boys.
Shoujo and Josei is basically nothing but female targeted fanservice.

Also I'm pretty sure the Golden Kamui bara stuff you have posted there is aimed at gay males. Enjoy your spider fingered yaoi.

nigga, the fanservice for females is more subtle than just a dude showing a six pack, also even shit like Bleach had fanservice for females from time to time

I think you're right, but there's also an issue with what constitutes 'fanservice' for women. As points out, popular fanservice for straight women is unlikely to be pictures of hot naked men - that's way more of a niche audience type thing.

Fuck off

>straight women don't care about fan service.
Yeah, that's why this scene happened in TLJ. That's why the Twilight werewolf dudes were always shirtless. For all the gay men.

Read josei instead of stuff aimed at boys you daft twat

In all fairness, given the scriptwriters, that could have been to make a statement about sexual objectification ('the protagonists are women and the sex objects are men') rather than to appeal to a particular market. Also, SW is a captive market in that they can basically serve up 3 hours of paint drying and people will still go watch it.

Having said which, clearly there are a good number of women who are well into ogling hot bodied men, a perfunctory glance at Tumblr proves this to be the case. Intuitively I do think that the overall demand for staring at naked men is much lower than the demand for staring at naked girls, though.

Because mangakas are mostly entirely men? do what Rumiko Takahashi did instead of complaining.

Women don't find this attractive.
Only faggots like me do.

Is this true? I thought it was a 50/50 split
Do you have data to back up your statements friend?

>Why is fanservice for women so difficult to find in manga?
Lol what? Most girl's and women's manga magazines are nothing but. Three-quarters of comiket too.

Women don't have expectations of any seriously lewd content or nudity, so writers don't bother. It's hard to toe the line with male characters anyway, their bodies are either not lewd enough (torso) or too lewd (bulge). Ass is the best midrange but girls don't lust over butts as much as men do. Meanwhile female characters get boobs with covered nipples and panty shots, which are both mid range and really enjoyed by men.

Most mangaka are female. The ratio is 65-35.
Some of the best shounen mangaka are women.

>source: my vagina

You've obviously never read josei. Shit's absolutely filthy. Slightly less nudity but a lot more fucked up sex.

>source: your ass
Google it you lazy faggot

because women are poor(er) and can't buy as much dumb merch so what's the point???

I don't know. I also don't think it's difficult to find, but I'm bi so I might be biased.

>Because mangakas are mostly entirely men?
Wut? Do you only read Jump? It's the opposite.

>bi
>biased

>because women are poor(er) and can't buy as much dumb merch
Never heard of fujos, huh?
>but I'm bi
Fuck off Yank

Can I get some actual insight? Google yields nothing.
It doesn't seem like there's any hard data at all.
Doesn't help that many mangakas seem to use genderbending nom-de-plume either

hot

That's fanservice for gay men, not fanservice for women.

Love that old granny for giving us some nice gender bender action

>shounen
?
shounen only show FRIENDSHIP

>(although this is probably more a function of the high supply of male sex vs. low supply of female sex, 'dick is free', etc.; but it's related.)
No, the reason is societal norms. It's nigh impossible for a man to whore himself out since no one expects men to be whores. Your standard "this is the supply and demand" argument is always wrong, btw.
>The fact is, male demand for sexual content (and sex) vastly outstrips female demand for those things.
It's just your assumption.

It's not.

It's everywhere. You're just too hetero to see it.

Fanservice for woman is not focused on naked bodies. Simply going through the motions of romance can serve as fanservice for them.

e.g. Fairy Tales thousand couples were well-liked by the female readers apparently.

Veiny hands, asses and gentle looks. Also, huge muscular bodies may be scary, so they may become a turn-off.

???

are you sure? It really seems as if there's much more demand for female sex work than for male sex work, female escorts than male escorts, etc.

I'm not denying that it's due to societal norms (although the pattern is pretty ubiquitous globally and historically, which suggests that it's probably hardwired on some level). I'm just pointing out that guys seem to create more demand for sex than women.

It could well be due to social norms, I'm not arguing about the causes of the phenomenon, just the existence of the phenomenon itself.

Also stanford did a study where men offer sex to female strangers - acceptance rate was 0%. When they flipped genders, they got 85% positive responses. That's pretty consistent with what I'd expect.

Hey now, not all gayfags are barafags. Would much rather watch Free than read jojoshit.

Females guard their body.
Men guard commitment.

It's that simple. Because men give up sex for cheap, the pricing is different.

Interesting way of putting it.

>Your standard "this is the supply and demand" argument is always wrong

Women have higher standards. Which doesn't matter since you need to actively try to make an anime character look ugly.

woman can not survive on one show alone

The only stanford research google finds is a link of marijuana to increased sex. 85% and 0% look untrustworthy, anyway. You have to find really starved for sex men to get these 85%.
>although the pattern is pretty ubiquitous globally and historically
In matriarchical societies sex is basically free for everyone - if there's consent, obviously. There are no wives and husbands, everyone are to everyone. "Usurpation" of rights to a single person happened in first patriarchical societies, and it was not due to sex drive or something but due to pragmatic reasons of knowing whose child is this. Basically, under matriarchy mother always knows whom she gave birth to (and father is unimportant, everyone fucks everyone anyways), but under patriarchy (and without DNA tests) you need a Napoleon to enforce a ruling that every child born in this marriage is by law considered husband's.
Prostitution came to be only under patriarchy. You need a really, really sexually restricted society to actually create a demand for such a job.

Male otaku spends way more than fujoshits

Because the shit that turns on men is completely different than what turns on women. Men like tits, ass, hips, dick. Women like faces, eyes, jaws, hands. Women get their fanservice from romantic situations, while men get it from seeing sexual characteristics.

So you don't see "fanservice for women" like that gay shit you posted because that is still male fanservice, but for actual homosexual men.

>Male otaku spends way more than fujoshits
Have you been under a rock for the past few years, everyone wants that sweet fujo money nowadays.

I dunno if that particular fanservice is for women, but I know for sure it's from a man.

Noda is HARD GAY

>Men like tits, ass, hips, dick. Women like faces, eyes, jaws, hands.

Yeah, I don't buy this. Going through all the Boku no Hero Academia yaoi doujins I wonder what all the male otaku have actually been doing. Hunter x Hunter too. You may not see it as much in the shows proper, but its definitely there in the fan material. And those are shonen.

Step 1:
Write a fantasy-coming-of-age story about a teenage girl.

Step 2:
Change the teenage girl to a preteen boy, but leave in all the parts where he dresses up, and fantasizes about his rugged middle aged mentor character.

Step 3:
EXTREME PROFIT!

Grill here, I like the OP picture but most fanservice for women is more about sexual tension than showing man tiddies. However, most other women I know still enjoy a well-done man tiddy, it just doesn’t happen a lot.

Because women find fully clothed men sexier. The one you posted is aimed towards gay men.

>Kill La Kill where Ryuko is a middle school boy forced to wear a sailor uniform.

It isn't. Just take a shonen and you can count on them to do crazy fujoshis stuff that has no rapport to the manga whatsoever.

Exactly. I love me some beef but the good stuff is hard to find

Nobody asked for your opinion. Go back to .

I imagine you'd find a ton of it if you read shoujo and josei.

Shouldn't read shounen/seinen and expect fanservice for females.

Shounen exists

>Straight women don't care about fanservice.
There are no such thing about straight women, only bisexual women are real

WTF there is a huge industry for fanservice for women nowadays
There is a huge amount of reserve harem, male idol shit, gay manga etc
A lot of the best selling shows every season are fanservice shows for women
Also most shonen nowadays try to appeal to females too like Haikyuu, Kuroko no Basket, BNHA...
Stop saying dumb uninformed shit

Because women don't need it. Male characters can just be there doing their usual thing and women will find them hot and be happy with their headcanons.

>Haikyuu, Kuroko no Basket, BNHA
They are popular with women, yes, but the authors didn't purposefully try to appeal to them. They have male friendship and that's it.

You don't read enough shojo romance if you think this, almost all of which have 6'4" hot guys pinning after the MC. And don't get me started.on boy love and yaoi.

Todoroki is a character, specifically designed to appeal to women
I remember there was a hot spring episode in KnB and the episode had a lot of fanservice Also you see the characters in those sports shows half naked really often while they're changing clothes etc

Probably because women don't watch anime. Or the percentage is so low that it's not worth catering to.

Oh my, w-what is this from? Purely for research purposes.

FGO and Gran Blue are the biggest money makers in the industry at the moment and they are mainly aimed at male otaku

Maybe because nip women don't care about such fan service. You just have a weird, specific taste and cry when you're not catered to.

Define fanservice. Fanservice aimed at fujos is different from fanservice aimed at otaku. Also the fujo market is still new and green lands that has yet to be explored.

Golden Kamuyi or Golden something.

It´s not, women don´t get turned on the same way men do, what you posted would actually turn on a faggot, not a woman.

>tfw everyone praises this for being fanservice for girls
>cannot find it attractive in the slightest

I just don't see angular bushounen appealing at all. The Free guys look like aliens to me, with their weird detail here but not there (ie focusing so much on the torso but no nipples). Kind of repulsive even.

Imagine being such a newfag that you don't even know about all the money Yuri on Ice made in the last two years.

This thread is sad. All the psychoanalyzing of women's sexuality to try to explain OP's dumb false statement only shows how little those anons know about manga. They are not even aware of shoujo, josei, BL, yaoi doujins. How about lurking a bit more before posting?

I think the better way to word this question would actually be "Why is it so difficult to find fanservice that appeals to my personal taste in men?"

Not to sound like I'm putting you down, because I feel similarly (even though our tastes still differ). There are lots of anime designs that are sexy if you're into slender ikemen. And if you aren't, it usually involves the guys fucking (in yaoi, or bara which is targeted towards gay men), which could be nicely drawn but it'd be nice to see them into women.

This. Romantic fanservice and sexual fanservice are different things. Teasing that a character may like another is not the same thing as a pinup. Saying that all women are completely satisfied with only the former is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

This, this way they're drawn looks gross. Give me a man in a suit or otherwise fully dressed any day.

I'm sure there are some high-test tarts who get off to seeing bare-chested men like men can get off to bare-chested women. The point is that the demand for romance is bigger than the demand for pin-up calendars of some unknown firemen, for example. You can always sell art of hot, sexualized men to women if you attach a story and character building to it. This is what doujins and fanart of existing series are about. However, fewer women are interested in just pin-up art of a pretty boy if they don't know the character. Such art might sell if aimed at gay men though.

I think you'd be surprised. Just because it isn't mainstream doesn't mean it isn't desired. There are potentially a lot of niches to appeal to, we just don't see much of it.

>nurushit
Back to r e ddit!

Kubo should have done a fashion-oriented manga instead.

there are some pictures that show a man topping from the bottom's pov, but the content is either bl or het. None of them have anything interesting to offer though, since they draw men without nipples or interesting poses.

Shoujo/josei manga, at times, does this. Most of the time it focuses on the girl anyway, with extra scenes for the boy so you can make sure we know how the girl feels throughout all this.

Girl smut is uninteresting if you look at it for men, but if you don't like BL or niche male-focus fetishes, it's really all you have.

Yumejoshi are just as filthy, they just turn it towards their resident self-insert.

That is not what fanservice for woman is, that is fanservice for fags.
OP clearly never read a shoujo manga.

You have no idea how much both games have been pandering to fujoshis this past year. For crying out loud GBF spent weeks collabing with gay swords and then a fujo knights event a week later.

shounen are for teenage boys. You mean shoujo and some kid of Seinen (I forgot the name but there's one especially targeting housewives)

>both games
You're right that Granblue omnipanders, but how is Fate anything but a waifufest? Only one male welfare servant, no male swimsuit servants, no softcore porn CEs or lewd outfits for male servants in general, etc.

It is for both.
