Are these two criminals going to get away with their assassination plot?
Toji no Miko
All urls found in this thread:
I hope so. Hiyori did nothing wrong.
Kanami should teach her new wife how to sword properly.
Mint is patrician
Kanami is certainly not going to get away with her NTR plot.
It's time to move on to your loli, Mai.
Yes she is
Aratama are not even human. They are saving Japan.
No she isn't.
Will Mai even get paired with Kuudere or are they just gonna sit there in that weird LEFT OVERS pile
neko chan isn't complaining about being used as a boob rest so I assume their relationship is healthy
Where's their ship gear?
That young lady does look very healthy.
According to the wiki Kashima Shintō-ryū basically revolves around finding weak points in the opponent's armor since it's from sengoku battlefield. May be her style is a bad match to Mai?
It does seem a bit MURDER heavy
I was just memeing. I don't know why Mai said that. Even if Mai is way more skilled, there's no reason to say that Hiyori doesn't know swordsmanship after performing a bunch of sword techniques against her peers.
May be her style is a bad match to Mai?
That's not what Mai says. She literally told her she has no skills.
In any case, if she can't beat Mai she's got no business fighting Kaname.
I hate NTR.
This show is progressing really swiftly for something that's two cours. The Hiyori vs Mai fight is something you'd expect to see halfway through the show and not in episode 2.
You know it's perfectly possible to have more than one friend, right?
Mai has accepted that Kanami wants to put her sword in other girls.
But not more than one girlfriend.
It wasn't even a fight. Just Mai showing Hiyori why she sucks.
cute girls doing cute things with dark and serious plot
cool battle choreography
emphasis on sword techniques and skills
main heroines are on the run as fugitives
BATORU and TANOSHII yuri subtext
I must say, this show is on the fast track to being AOTS for me.
There's nothing to hate about cute yuri NTR
So there is no problem then.
That's a possibility for Mai controlling the pace of their battle. It still doesn't explain Mai's comment.
DV > NTR
I don't think this will get that dark and serious. At the very least I doubt there will be any deaths.
It's impossible to have more than one wife though.
not converting to islam
Stay cucked, chistcuck.
Time for world-building info.
Toji [Sword user] - The Miko who brandish Okatana. Can only be female. By manifesting the spirits of the Okatana in themselves, they draw out their power and suppress the Aradama. Most of them are students who haven't yet reached adulthood and study in specialised schools, honing their skills, all while fulfilling their police duties.
Okatana [Venerable sword] - Japanese-style swords made from a rare metal with divine properties - jewel steel. Can be used by the Toji, and only them, to call upon various powers from a different dimension called the Hidden Realm. The only weapon capable of taking down the Aradama.
Noro - the impurities that are removed in the refinement of jewel steel. As they possess divine qualities, they are virtually indestructible by normal means and are treated with utmost care. If Noro is allowed to agglomerate, it will form into an Aradama and bring disasters upon the world. To prevent that, since times immemorial it has been split into small quantities and then placed as offerings in forests around the country.
Aradama [Raging soul] - also called ghosts, spirits and youkai. Their true nature is Noro agglomerated into a pseudo-living creature. fucking Mushi Depending on the amount and properties of the Noro, the disasters they bring are different. The Miko wielding Okatana are capable of cutting down and exorcising them.
Gokaden - The collective name of the five middle-to-high specialised sword schools in Japan. Kanagawa's Renpu Girls' Academy, Gifu's Minoseki Academy, Kyoto's Ayanokouji Martial Arts School, Nara's Heijou Institute and Okayama's Osafune Girls' Academy. Under the control of the specialised sword administration bureau. Is tasked not only with training of the Toji themselves, but ot their support personnel as well.
They're lucky they're just friends then.
Special Ritual Riot Squad - A troop belonging to the Special Sword Administration Bureau of the National Police Agency. Wield the special swords known as the Okatana and have permission to use them at their own discretion. They hold a special position in government service, and a lot of them are females that haven't yet reached adulthood. Special Ritual Riot Squad is the official name of the troop, but it's commonly called simply "The Toji", and sometimes, with gratitude, "our Toji".
The Tragedy of Sagami Bay - The worst Aradama-caused tragedy in history which happened 20 years prior in September of 1998. An incident that occured on the coast of Sagami Bay led to large amounts of Noro being leaked into the sea, which formed into the largest Aradama ever observed. The Aradama landed on the coast and headed north, causing large-scale damage to the city of Fujisawa, which resulted in over 3000 casualties. Through cooperation of the SRRS and the Self-Defence Force the Aradama was driven to Enoshima. Thanks to the efforts of the select few elites of the SRRS, it was successfully subjugated. Following the event, the aforementioned six elites were labeled heroes.
Utsushi [Duplicate] - One of the Toji's most basic fighting skills, and their strongest defensive ability. Using the Okatana as an intermediary, one's physical body is transformed into a body of energy. While Utsushi is active, all damage the real body would've taken takes form of pain and mental fatigue. Receiving a blow to a part of a body will make that part vanish and its function be lost, but one's real body will take no damage while it is active.
Jin'i [Swift move] - An offensive skill of the Toji. Using the Okatana as an intermediary, one departs from the normal flow of time and accelerates. The Hidden Realm is made up of multiple layers, with each one having flow of time faster than the previous one. Thus, the deeper one delves, the more effective their Jin'i becomes. Those with a lot of training can reach the deeper, faster layers.
the names of okatana and fighting styles of the 11 known characters.
Kanami = Chidori/Yagyu Shinkage-Ryu
Hiyori = Kogarasumaru/Kashima Shinto-Ryu
Mai = Magoroku Kanemoto/Hokushin Itto-Ryu
Sayaka = Myoho Muramasa/Onoha Itto-Ryu
Kaoru = Nenekirimaru/Yakumaru Jigen-Ryu
Ellen = Echizen Yasutsugu/Taisha-Ryu
Yukari = Okanehira and Dojigiri Yasutsuna/Niten Ichi-Ryu
Maki = Usumidori (Hoemaru)/Shindo Munen-Ryu
Suzuka = Kujikanesada/Kurama-Ryu
Yomi = Suijingiri Kanemitsu/Shinjin-Ryu
Yume = Nikkari Ao'e/Ten'nen Rishin-Ryu
That's why I hate NTR.
Are you the mentally ill user from the neptunia threads?
no just someone with common sense
Kaoru and her massive sword, for example, uses the fighting style Yakumaru Jigen-Ryu (as with other Jigen-Ryu styles) that focuses on the ONE BIG STRIKE. Apparently in Golden Kamuy, one character warns another to NEVER try to parry a strike from a Jigen-Ryu practitioner, else one would receive two swords on its head.
Kanami's style focuses on reading enemy movements and outwinning them on each clash. This would explain why Sayaka lost; she kept on engaging Kanami, allowing Sayaka to be "read". The episode would also show Kanami's immense insight, recognizing fighting styles just by seeing one kata on display.
Mai's style, Hokushin Itto-Ryu, has a principle where "a perfect technique should contain defense and offense in one action". Kanami attested to this, noting that Mai's Seigan (the basic combat stance) was unbreakable. Mai also attempted this on Kanami using the seiza position, forcing Kanami to attack instead of respond with Mai preparing for a defense strat—alas, she lost because Kanami was simply too knowledgeable about Mai's combat style.
Hiyori is quite formidable with her Kashima Shinto-Ryu, which is based on practical responses to combat since the style was developed with strong influences to the Warring States Period. Hiyori finds weak points and WILL use them to her advantage.
Ellen's style, Taisha-ryu suits uneven terrain since it was designed that way (practical combat techniques), and one notable trait is having a low stance compared to other styles. That's probably why Hiyori attacked from such a low angle.
You can only have one wife.
But nothing stops you from having as many concubines as you wish.
I don't think this dork is cut out for being a fugitive.
Mai is just shit-talking to make Hiyori lose her composure. Hiyori is skilled. Mai couldn't even see one of Hiyori's special techniques since she moved so fast. In contrast, Kanami could see it, but just barely.
Isn't this just headcanon from the wikia? What's next, stuff from tvtropes?
Well, Kanami style shine in clashes so Mai forced her to attack rather than fighting her like Sayaka in the tournament. So Mai is good at controlling the pace at least.
So I assume she ended up exaggerating a bit as a shit talk.
I don't think so. Mai's assessment that Hiyori's too straightforward and easy to read seemed on point. She's just fast which is why Mai couldn't see her moves and such. But she lacks skill so Mai still can kick her ass.
It's a fan analysis. At least the person doing it knows Japanese.
That isn't because Hiyori is not skilled. Mai's style is just a bad match to Hiyori's, that's all. Mai spars with Kanami so she has a lot of practice and has honed her stance to be defensive as fuck.
They need to stop using so much CG. It looks like shit.
My headcanon is that Mai is the strongest, but she can't face Kanami because gay.
Mai saying Hiyori has no skill still doesn't make sense. Even if she can beat Hiyori blindfolded, that doesn't negate knows how to fight.
I love this shit already.
Works for me.
Mai's shcocked expressions whenever Kanami 1-ups her easily destroys that headcanon.
How is she going to beat Hiyori when she can't even see her till the latter already decapitated her.
That isn't because Hiyori is not skilled.
Are we going to ignore the fact Mai literally says she's lacking skill? I know you think she's bluffing but you can't prove that.
Read the manga. Mai really tries her best and hates that Kanami keeps beating her.
Why didn't Hiyori use this technique? Mai had Utsushi so it's not like she'll experience fatal wounds.
It's not like Hiyori doesn't know shit. She just doesn't know enough to fight at Mai's level.
She's super fast but not very experienced with sword duels.
She got Kogarasumaru just recently.
She beat first girl by pure speed. She beat Eren by baiting her and using superior speed.
Are you going to ignore the fact that Hiyori not only represented her school in the tournament, made it to the finale and had Kanami gushing over her techniques?
With superior skills. Besides Hiyori is easy to read so Mai can predict her moves.
Maybe your butt hurts afterwards.
So Hiyori looks exciting as first glance but she is a one trick pony?
No, so I'm gonna wait for the show to give an explanation instead of assuming something I can't prove like you're doing.
You can have all the skill you want but if she's jamming a sword in your gut before you can blink it's not going to matter. She couldn't even keep up with Kanami who could only barely see Hiyori move.
Not even the elite guards were able to block her. It took Yukari herself to parry before the tomboy could butt in.
This show told us more about japanese swords and fencing styles than swordboys through years of their existence. I love it.
She was shit-talking, dude. At the best you could argue she was being overly critical of Hiyori techniques since she has bad affinity to Mai's stance.
Hiyori wasn't at peak condition, so maybe that's why. She said she only covered a bit from the night before. Or maybe she didn't want tor reveal one of her hidden techniques.
Aradamas control the government
Where is Hiyori's tinfoil hat?
She was shit-talking, dude
Prove it, you can't.
People already died in first episode. People died in big fight 20 years ago and humans lost there while they think they won. It seems like Kanami and Hiyori both lost mothers.
It's pretty fucking serious already.
Sorry, I mean intercept.
Hiyori is probably bad with the sword itself but very good with the miko superpowers.
I can't wait until the mobage comes out so I can waste all my time trying to reroll for the genki gaijin just to stop playing the shitty game a couple days later.
Common sense, dude. It's not like you can prove what Mai said is true, anyways.
Strike Witches also did that. Better CGI than slideshow fights.
Not even the elite guards were able to block her
They weren't in front on her attack and she is pretty fucking fast. No one's arguing that. But she's also easy to read and in a one on one fight with an highly skilled opponent like Mai or Kanami she's gonna get her ass handed to her.
Hiyori's profile disagrees with Mai.
Saori Ōnishi as Hiyori Jūjō, a third-year student in the middle school section of Hiragi Gakukan. She is 14 years old. Her sword is Kogarasumaru. She is serious, cool, and stoic. She has the strongest sense of responsibility among the Toji, and once she decides on something, she doesn't bend. Her sword skills center on speed, and even among the Toji, her skills are among the best.
Common sense, dude.
We're talking anime, user. Common sense goes out of the window most of the time.
She's not very experienced. Principal cake said she got her sword just recently so Origamis were not even informed yet.
That's just another reason to NOT read the manga.
You can predict an attack all you want but if you aren't fast enough to parry it predicting it is completely useless.
We would have to see what it actually says in Japanese though. I do get that she's based on speed. But Mai didn't deny this. She was basically saying all that speed would not beat her because Hiyori's easy to read.
What type of sword was she using before Kogarasumaru?
I think that's a different. Hiyori probably has trained for a long time since young since her mother was a Toji too based on hinted flashbacks and foreshadowing. However, the Okatana that Hiyori has is something she recently acquired.
You get time to react if you can predict it. It's not like Hiyori is a lot faster than the others. She's just got an edge.
Help me guys, my foot fetish is being awakened!
implying technique matters when you're fast enough
That's like saying the loli needs skill when she can probably just spin her sword around and destroy anything.
I believe the TL who did the article took the profiles from the official website.
Took you long enough.
Hiyori's modest skirt is attractive and cute. Unlike Mai's slutty short belt of a skirt
It's not like Hiyori is a lot faster than the others
But she is.
Most couldn't even see her.
When they use the power they're all really fast.
Can this slut forget about Kanami and just disappear?
This is a fair point. Either way, I love the fact Hiyori is a speedster. Speed vs power and speed vs techniques are my thing.
You posted an image of Kanami's girlfriend, not Mai.
Mai is super experienced from fighting the battle autist all the time. She's simply more experienced at Toji dueling.
I hope she turns into an aradama.
Hey guys has anybody called this number yet?
She wanted to but Kanami won't let her.
Thing is Kanami is even more skilled and knowledgeable about fighting techniques than Mai. If Hiyori can't beat Mai she doesn't stand a chance against Kanami. Kanami's gonna read her like an open book and kick her ass in 3 seconds flat.
Honestly, the show so far slides towards realism. So common sense isn't completely absent. We can predict and speculate a lot of things because we can apply common sense and use real-world comparisons. Granted, this is an anime with school girls, so it won't be super serious and strict, but we can still expect something like an assassination to have serious consequences and the fact it's a crime.
I had to watch the show 3 times to finish.
What a dork. Who still sleeps while hugging their sword at 14 years of age?
Teach me how to make cookies onee-sama
She's particularly fast,as they have been telling us for 2 episodes.
That sword is her mom.
It's Kanami that clings to her.
She just want to do her criminal things in peace.
Is she retarded?
Ok, step one, and pay close attention...
I hope that the four Devas battles are based on metal gear rising.
But could she catch Hazuki?
She's just BATORU hungry.
No, she is batoru.
swords are made with the soul of a miko
Origami has a lot because as the Aratama boss she killed a lot of mikos
Yet Mai had the upper hand during their little skirmish and Kanami had to intervene to help Hiyori.
Did you miss the fact that she was still recovering from her failed assassination attempt?
She is Baka. Bake for Mai's Cookies!
Let's get down to it. Kanami is the MC and she's OP. She's a sword mania who is knowledgeable about all kinds of stances, techniques, and swords. She beats Mai all the time since they became friends. And she's still fast enough to see HIyori's tachi and Yukari draw her Okatana and saw what HIyori saw.
On the flip side, Kanami recognized that Mai's seigan stance is difficult to penetrate, so Mai isn't a pushover. Mai betted everything on the iai stance and lost because Kanami is just too knowledgeable about Mai and the stance she used.
Yes, but how does that dismiss Hiyori's skill w/the sword?
Upper hand? I think you need to re-watch it. They were more or less even and this is with Hiyori who hasn't fully recovered. Mai intervened because she wanted to, not because Hiyori was going to lose or get hurt.
Er, Kanami* intervened
So what's Sup Forums favorite ice cream flavor?
This episode just proved she's not.
Yes. She was putting on the pressure and Hiyori couldn't do anything but run away and defend.
It would have been hilarious is their match wasn't interrupted and after all the hype Hiyori got her ass kicked in no time.
upper hand mattering in action anime
It ain't over unless someone gets sliced.
You just don't understand BATORU.
LEFT OVERS pile.
You can even see the symbolism of the couples statuses there, from distant and not interested in each other, to close but not yet, and already-wed.
Imagine Kanam's face then.
Would there be any honor in beating someone who is injured and still recovering?
I'm talking about the tournament's final match, user.
Hiyori was putting up a defensive fight because she couldn't find holes in Mai's defense. It's not exactly upper hand that would lead to a lose. For all we know, Hiyori could shift stance and focus on speed to blitz Mai had they continued on for a bit longer.
Oh, that's different. I expect Kanami would win.
Those are some big shoe tongues.
Unless Mai's right that she's too straightforward and easy to read.
Well, I know I'll be playing the game now. This setting has potential.
Under normal speed, perhaps. Hiyori could always go faster.
Pistachio or Rum Raisin!
I like bubblegum as well.
That's not gonna help her if her moves are easy to read.
Rum raisins and mint chocolate chip.
Top tier footwear.
Salmiakki or tar, hard choice.
At a certain point speed trumps skill. Mai would still need a minimum amount of speed to intercept. Knowing a bullet is coming doesn't mean shit if you're not able to get out of the way in time.
when you force a date with a girl then make them pay for it as well
Why is kanami so alpha?
Does anyone know exactly what Mai was saying in that sentance? I don't think she was outright calling her bad at fighting. The sentence beforehand talks about her blade being sharp but too straightforward which would come from not enough experience against tough opponents like how Mai always sparred with Kanami.
I think Mai has a decent chance of not being merely dumped in the left overs pile because of how quickly things are progressing.
Now there's 22 episodes for her to make friends with someone else since Kanami is all over the new girl.
crazy lesbo realizes too late that she fucked up.
At a certain point speed trumps skill
And we have no idea what point that is in this case. For now I'm gonna go with Mai's take that Hiyori's predictability is her weakness until the show proves otherwise.
Considering even the dumb Gaijin was able to block her, Mai's criticism of Hiyori probably does have some truth to it. I mean if Gaijin girl can block her then so can the elite 4. As another user all of them are sufficiently fast when in glowy mode.
Different user, but we know for a fact Mai couldn't see Hiyori's tachi. In a real fight that's serious, I'd bet my money on Hiyori.
The middle two are for (you) right?
Mint chocolate, matcha, and strawberry.
She's the champion.
The specific Japanese word used referred to the quality of her experience in facing opponents in combat.
And then baka Gaijin fell for a taunt. But to be fair even pros do that.
Mai wasn't in her powered-up mode when she was watching Hiyori, when she is her vision probably gets better or else Hiyori would have won instantly.
So it would've beenore appropriate she has no experience w/ the sword rather than no skill?
Somehow, I recognized the joke sound effect that played here from YuYuYu.
That's what I figured, Mai has spent all her time fighting Kanami while Hiyori doesn't have the same sort of rival to better herself with.
And we have no idea what point that is in this case.
Yes we do. We've already seen it. Mai couldn't keep up with Kanami who could only barely follow Hiyyori.
drag her to a deito
within two episodes
This must be a new record.
Utsushi doesn't enhance anything.
That's because Kanami isn't as predictable as Hiyori. Mai called Hiyori straightforward, which probably means her attacks all comes from the same direction or something like that. If that's the case, that's a huge weakness even if she's pretty fast.
That looks really cool.
It's not a matter of predictability. I could tell you exactly how and where Im going to punch you and if you can't react faster than I punch then you lose flat out.
What said. Hiyori was still doing super human moves when her Utsushi was off.
Hah hah. No.
It's not a matter of predictability
You're wrong. knowing where the punch is coming from will help your react faster.
I wonder if this scene is a foreshadow for Mai's eventual Sudoku with Kanami as her second.
Dayum, beyotch, that be cray-cray.
will help your react faster.
But you still have to be faster is the whole point.
Mint chocolate chip. I sympathized heavily with Hiyori in this scene.
The attacker has to cover more distance than the defender. She doesn't have to be faster, only fast enough.
Straightforward is more by the book, to put it simply she's predictable.
If you can predict your opponent's moves you don't have to wait until you see the attack to start your counter move. You gain a fraction of second that gives you an advantage. You don't have to be faster.
You can lose a hand doing that faster than sticking your finger in a bull dyke.
So this means Gaijin is better than Mai, right?
The attacker has to cover more distance than the defender.
And if the attacker can do a hundred meters before you can even blink or think there is NO fast enough. There's a sword in your face.
It doesn't matter how predictable she is if she's on you before you can raise your sword
a is going to punch b
b knows that a will aim for the face
b tries to guard his face
a's punch was faster than b being able to guard
Is the plot twist that the two fugitives are sisters?
Mai is doomed to lose to HIyori. I'm sorry Maifags, but it'll happen. Hiyori and Kanami's serious match needs to happen and it will be be the finale of the first cour after everything has been settled and dealt with.
tfw no best girl this episode
And that's on the assumption that A is only going to attack one spot. There are any number of spots Hiyori could shoot for. Face, neck, arms, legs, chest etc.
If your attack consist of left-to-right slashes and every time you fight that's the ONLY thing you ever did, your opponent doesn't need to be faster or stronger than you to beat you.
your opponent doesn't need to be faster
When the opponent is so fast you can't see them or process their attack yes you do.
It's also on the assumption that A is so fast that B doesn't have time to guard, which clearly wasn't the case in the fight.
Because Hiyori didn't use that super fast jin'i.
pink loli uses ore
The ultimate tomboy.
Yeah because Hiyori was still winded from getting stabbed in the spine in a previous encounter
going on a date without knowing someone's name
Why is this allowed?
It depends on how much you're able to predict. If you know A is going for the face B can guard right before A starts moving. It helps that guarding requires a simpler and more compact movement than attacking.
Hiyori is fast, but not fast enough than being predictable wouldn't be a weakness.
Even if Mai was right that doesn't mean she would certainly win.
I think if they fight now Mai would win. I think we're supposed to take Mai's claim that Hiyori's lacking experience seriously. She has to get stronger.
It's not, good thing they're not dating.
Yeah and that doesn't work with what we've seen so far. We've seen nothing to show that Hiyori lacked skill, if anything she's the one that's pulled off the most impressive shit. We've seen her pull of feints and and move with speed that only the hero and main villain can even register.
What she's saying and what they're showing us don't match and if we want to believe Mai at all she needs to do something beyond lose herself.
What is she thinking about?
Can't blame when she has autism
Batoru, Aradama, Remove Yukari, who is this girl that makes me feel hot and bothered on the inside?
I hope she doesn't hug me
Why are my girl parts starting to feel weird?
Marble Blackberry, Vanilla Oreo and Brownie
Which miko would you toji?
Yeah and that doesn't work with what we've seen so far.
Well, anime isn't alien to inconsistencies. We'll have to wait and see what direction they take her character going forward.
Other than baiting the Gaijin she only really showed super speed.
mint chocolate chip is bitter
budget cuts in the second episode. we're in for a rough ride.
animated crowds outside movies or KyoAni sakuga bait
Dude, be real.
I rather have still backrounds than CG crowds that have gotten so popular but look dreadfull.
And what has Mai shown? She "beat" someone who wasn't trying and didn't want to be there and for all intents took a dive so she could sit down for the rest of the tournament.
Dark chocolate and mint.
I want to lick her thighs so bad
Is Toji no Miko the Haifuri of our generation?
Don't you mean Ange Vierge?
It's the Strike Witches of our generation.
Let's wait and see if the mind control hamsters are back before making that claim.
Why is autism-chan in this anime?
Did Ange Vierge have a runaway storyline? I have no idea.
Sorta. Half the main cast turned evil/were corrupted.
Reminder that Maki is for gentle rape
and she's the one doing the rape.
Sword autism is adorable.
As long as she uses her spats to muffle me.
It's an art choice, you obviously don't understand you ape.
Why do all these plain MCs look the same holy shit.
Punished Kanami when?
Saya abandoned the brown haired girl but they ended up together in the end
Kanami abandoned Mai but they'll end up together in the end
It really is the AV of our generation.
but they'll end up together in the end
I'm sorry, Mai.
who will be the traitor?
Saya and Hinata have shipping illustrations. Kanami and Hiyori also have shipping illustrations.
Mai of course.
Purple is always the traitor.
What's her endgame? Why does she look like she kills people in their sleep?
Because she does.
Do you think they filled all her holes with katanas prior to the interrogation to loose her up?
This reminds me of that tori kaji ippai boat amine. Where the school chases them and sends goons their way.
Of course, that's standard procedure.
I bet she discovered the origami/Aradama scheme and got brainwashed/possessed.
I want to fuck nippon Saracchi.
How many dicks did she suck?
One thousand katanas.
Someone shop a Chise in here.
She polished a lot of katanas.
She totally looks like the older version of the inukami from minna no sensei.
You do it.
Seriously expecting good futa doujins of this. I wanna see someone choke on Maki's big, thicc sword.
I want to fuck an Aradama
You shouldn't expect good doujins. That rarely happens.
But I want it too.
I doubt this show is going to get popular enough to get a lot of doujins, let alone good doujins.
More like Aradayum.
How much are we betting that the original Origami Yukari is lucked up in an Aradama rape dungeon?
I like it
quite literally Yukari from Touhou
They can't get away with this
Hiyori is a terrorist.
She might just be lying about the origami clan.
I remember someone saying last time that it was weird how Origami had two swords despite not drawing the ones on her person and I'm glad that they addressed that. Pretty interesting twist at just episode 2.
The term is Freedom Fighter. Seriously though, Hiyori has these enveloped that are sponsoring her, and they probably belong to that organization that helped her out.
Apparently in Golden Kamuy, one character warns another to NEVER try to parry a strike from a Jigen-Ryu practitioner, else one would receive two swords on its head.
GK page for reference
lets hang out I want to feed you
Since they revealed the twist in the second episode, I bet the actual twist will be that Origami is actually in control and is using the power of the Aradama for whatever reason. Which will most likely be either using the power of the enemy to defeat the enemy or using it so that she herself can gain power.
REMOVE ARADAMA remove aradama
That might be the purpose of the ritual in episode 1.
I'm banking more on the the Aradama switching bodies to Hiyori somehow.
Hiyori was right.
Kanami is so cute.
It'd be a better twist if it switches bodies to Kanami.
I was thinking Hiyori since she's the one with the apparent grudge and might be easy to corrupt or whatever, but Kanami would also work. One of them's definitely getting turned, though, so they can have that match they're talking about.
Watch it be that she just has it sealed within her to keep the country safe
Wait a second, that sound from the spectrum meter.
It's the almost same as when they met for the first time.
implying an ojou-sama like Mai would lie
She fights with Kanami on a very regular basis. She's probably top class herself and a good judge of skill. Hiyori's power just lies with her teleports behind you level speed.
That would explain her reaction, ready to unsheathe her sword and all.
Hiyori's profile literally says her skills are among the best. Maybe Mai believes what she's saying, but they don't have to be true.
The manga seemed to suggest that it was the swords reacting towards eachother and the president of one of the schools hinted at that the two swords have some connection with eachother.
So most likely the swords they are using now have some kind of history with eachother. So the similar sound might be because of that their weapons are somehow connected to the monsters they fight, which that one manga page claimed.
I bet only analog spectrum although unprecise, can detect humanoid aradama.
And the government made sure nobody use them anymore, coincidence? I think not.
Chocolate chip cookie dough
Like, lets say, once were wield by their respective mother.
They were in a national tournament so everyone there is "among the best"
So most likely the swords they are using now have some kind of history with eachother
Final fight between Kanami and Hiyori.
Just like their mothers before them.
They are probably the same swords that their mothers used.
The Origami is Hiyori's mother
Cute sword nerd.
I'm gonna be pissed if we don't get a proper Kanami vs Hiyori battle until like the end of the show
Hiyori isn't on Kanami's level yet.
Well I at least want to see her get beaten down if so
What's the point of having the fight sooner if Kanami would just beat her in a few seconds? Maybe if it's at the end Hiyori will have the chance to get a little better.
That battle will most likely be the end of the first cour if it actually happens in a serious setting. The anticipatio would be to strechted out to have it as the final battle.
I hope we can see that in bed.
I love this little dork.
You'd think she'd remember how big her sword is after this happens a few times.
I want to comfort this 3rd wheel.
PriPri did it better
That said, this isn't too bad
Was any of this foreshadowed, like at all? I rewatched the end of the last episode and I didn't notice any implication they were anything other than human
She looks fat.
You mean healthy.
It's mostly muscles and some fat to maintain perfect softness.
hey remember that we are spies in alternate history steampunk britain with a complicated political climate and the winds of change about to hit?
well forget all that, let's all do the laundryyyyy lmao!1
I wish Shitcess Shitcipal faggots would stay in their containment thread.
You can't even understand the concept of a break episode after the heavy shit that was the ending of the previous one.
he thinks it was only one episode of stupid pointless retarded shit that practically begged the viewer to forget they set up any sort of plot
I wish Shitcess Shitcipal faggots would stay in their containment thread.
Don't reply to him. He has been shitposting about PriPri for a while on other threads as well, and his posts are always exactly the same shit.
imagine being this assravaged
it's j-just shitposting
just i-ignore him, he might be proven right
I like her, she reminds me of the best boat
Looks like she's used to deal with big and thick phallic objects
You mean healthy.
I mean fat. From all the cookies. This is why she was dumped.
This is why she was dumped.
She's just going to get fatter now.
they need to stretch it out to the final final episode and end this Scryed style
You got the wrong one, she's a Sara expy.
Was any of this foreshadowed, like at all?
We're less than 10% of the way through the story, this is still setting the groundwork, they don't have to foreshadow events that happen this early on
What do Kanami's feet smell like?
Actually, the girls who took part are representatives. They are the best from their respective schools, but some are seemingly weaker compared to another school's representatives.
I should probably pay more attention to the smaller details in each episode.
But it was literally only an episode ago.
They laid a pretty big bombshell for episode two. And I think we're expected to believe it?
On the other hand Kanami is an aho and Hiyori has business to hide
Yeah, when I saw her profile after watching the 1st ep, I got confused as to why she only had 2 swords because I remember seeing her w/ 4 swords.
help an attempted murderer to escape for no reason
be sad about not being able to eat all the cookies now
for no reason
for no reason
When the administrative organization was infiltrated by the enemy.......
Inside the monster became the nest
for no reason
I know you're just shitposting, but I'll bite the bait and tell you the reason anyway:
they want to touch each others' swords. touch
for no reason
Is this going to be the Inuyashiki asteroid all over again? Fuck speedwatchers.
Isn't she paired with that Rei Ayanami girl
Yeah, that's the word, I think.
Not that guy, but isn't the loli toji just plain bad at PvP? Maybe some school put much heavier emphasis on fighting Aradama, not each others. Our MC and her girlfriends just so happen to be from batoru-maniac schools and can easily BTFO any human.
It's probably not easy with that big giant sword but she clearly didn't try.
Deadpan half ass kiai
Doesn't even give a fuck about losing
There is nothing that qualifies as a reason
but muh evil sense
yea, right. You will just eat everything that gets stuffed down your throat.
I stopped playing in 2013/14 so I don't know who are those, now I just fap
it's not a reason because i don't like it
What exactly is the problem with the stated reason? Please be specific.
She saw the aradama's eye on Yukari dumbass.
Are you legitimately mentally ill?
Is this kino?
Maybe. For Kanami at least, her fighting style supposedly excels at fighting to read her opponent's moves to obtain victory. That plus the fact she's a Okatana otaku mania means she's better at fighting Mikos than Aradama.
Just what is this thing?
Obligatory mascot character
Implying Hiyori-chan is wrong
Still requesting webm of Hiyori's assassination attempt.
Shinto stuff says that mirrors reveal the true form of things, so it would explain their prominence in the ritual.
Was any of this foreshadowed, like at all?
Mysterious girl tries to murder someone important
I wonder if there's a reason or something bigger going on.
Why are people so impatient
PriPrifag is retarded
I also noticed how hair has been a famous hiding spot for demons in Japanese mythology. The classic example is the futakuchi-onna, which hides a mouth at the back of her head, and even Index has Coronzon hide in the hair of its vessel.
I've had it up to here with Shinto stuff already
According to Shinto stuff, you're gonna get more of it and you're gonna like it.
No shit. I meant it being revealed she's actually a monster or whatever.
Though, it might be a possible misdirect.
Why are you still here?
I hope to god we have Milfs/Christmas Cakes dueling with the young ones in this series. I want to see some fucking MILF's schooling everyone so bad.
I haven’t watched the show or kept up with threads but I’ll shitpost anyway
When is Mai going to kick Hiyori's ass and take back her wife?
She's too beta to assert dominance when Kanami steps in.
Though, it might be a possible misdirect.
OF COURSE IT'S A MISDIRECT! But there's still the greater issues of how long has it been going on and just how deep does this rabbit hole go? Is she actually a monster or just possessed by one? Did she die in the war? Will they be able to save her if she's just being puppeted? How aware is she of her own possession if that's the case?
revealing one major bombshell and answering one big question only opened up a shit load of other questions.
She’s going to kick the white haired loli’s ass and run away with her.
I really, REALLY hope this turns out to be false.
No way I want the big bad revealed like this.
Really like the idea of integrating fantasy elements with modern tech.
Especially if ordinary fantasy version exists.
It's two cour, isn't it? It'd take some glacial pacing for the plot twist of the main villain's identity to be revealed in the 2nd episode with no other twists.
The plot is moving along pretty fast too.
they solve the crisis in the first 6 episodes then everything else is just SOL
But I could see different arcs. 2 maybe 3 of them.
Which is way better than some other anime-original shows with cute girls fighting mysterious beings. I'm looking at you Vividred Operation.
Hiyori is 14 and Kanami is 13
Kaoru Mashiko, the loli with the big sword is 15 years old
YOU FUCKING WHAT
Yeah, there is a lot going for this plot right now. We could end up with a mega Toji civil war, which would be fascinating. My only issue with the show so far was how damned poorly written the second episode was. Kanami doesn't want to reveal why she helped Hiyori, but waits until Mai conveniently and easily tracks them down (despite none of the other authorities being able to) to tell everybody the truth. It is a little too plot convenient, or more aptly, pacing convenient, because they didn't want to put the "stinger" in until the end. I'm loving the concept, plot, and the style as described by others here so far, but that second episode was brutally bad writing. Or just, disappointing, I guess. I was expecting a bit more urgency from the writer, I guess.
conveniently and easily tracks them down (despite none of the other authorities being able to)
She did kind of get a direct phone call from her.
Logically the government would be monitoring Mai's phone due to her relationship with a suspect, that's why they called her in for questioning in the first place after all.
I bet that the Administration botnet controlled by Yukari will turn all of the spectrum sensors off at the most important moment and they'll have to rely on Hiyori's analog Noro compass.
That's a pretty nice phone.
No she isn't.
It's not like phones of all friends suddenly get recorded, if they had reason to suspect Mai maybe but she didn't have a clue and she's only a friend rather than any close relative. And this is if they can start an instant web of phone tapping surveillance.
and she's only a friend
As far as the authorities know anyways. We know the truth.
They only need to ask any student at their school to find out they're basically a married couple.
The only thing I can think of is that Origami was trying to keep things on the down-low, keeping it an internal matter. Considering the reveal, it makes a bit of sense. Regardless, Mai found them way too fast. I can buy that Mai knew what city she was in because of the overheard broadcast and could even have phone calls made to her traced, but to know they went into a particular hotel? That's a bit much.
She probably found the payphone, and then she just found the hotel that was closest to it.
I agree that it's a bit fast but maybe it was broadcasted in a small area at that exact time and from there it was only a matter of searching for hotels in that area.
That thing looks like it's having the time of it's life.
Childhood friend get's NTRed.
Do things get better latter or should I just drop it?
I love battoru lads
She gets a cute loli so it's okay.
She gets a cute loli
As someone who has been NTRed by time and even though that sounds like a great deal I'll have to pass, anyway thanks for answering, bye-bye.
She's not a childhood friend.
Why even look for a hotel? Kanami never mentioned she was staying in one. I guess it could be a logical leap, and I admit I'm nitpicking a bit, but it still bugged me. If they'd have done a five second shot of Mai asking around, maybe the convenience store guy where Kanami bought the bentos, or something. Meh.
Why look for a hotel
Where else are they going to sleep? a cheap hotel is a pretty normal place to be while on the run.
Netcafes are a lot cheaper. They supposed to be on the run with low money. The priority should be food. And Tokyo supposed to have a lot of abandoned houses in the agglomerations so why not go there instead? They really didn't think this whole escape thing.
Hiyori even mentions later other options (netcafe, etc), which is why I'm nitpicking. It seems like the author was almost pointing out why he wrote the wrong thing. While I know these girls may not be the most streetwise or experienced in criminal behavior (putting on some hoodies and putting the swords in GITAH cases), they still had other options. I'll just let it go seeing as how I'm enjoying this overall.
This is Sayaka Itomi's style, Onoha Itto-ryu.
There are only two techniques: Hitotsu-gachi and Kiriotoshi. "It begins with kiriotoshi, and ends with kiriotoshi." All other moves originate from kiriotoshi, thus "one sword gives rise to ten thousand swords".
You can't read something you can't see. Note how Mai says that she "disappeared" in ep 1.
I'm surprised no one was talking about the two swords materializing from thin air last ep. Not even the webm makers.
That's Hiyori going all-out. Mai can read Hiyori's normal speed movements.
It's been noticed
Which means she isn't even trying. Her technique is all about speed. If she's at "normal" speed then she's not even using her technique.
He means last episode before it was stated in the show.
Someone post that Handshakers webm for the animated crowds.
the government would be monitoring Mai's phone
NSA doesn't exist in Japan. Good job waiving your right to privacy.
She only took other options once they were found out after staying in the hotel. Logically, they should stay at more comfortable locations first to recover their strength faster while the option to do so is still there.
literally stated in the episode that the Administration would be able to find Kanami with ease if she had her phone with her
Their phones have the Aradama tracking app, which probably communicates with a central server controlled by the government and thus can be tracked by them. That's different from wiretapping.
It did irk me a bit that she had 4 sword but was only carrying two sheaths.
I blame Hiyori's legs for distracting me.
I don't think fans of cute girl action shows should be having internal feuds like this when there are much greater common enemies for us to face together:
They learned from the announcement that the girls were somewhere near the border of the Taito and Arakawa wards, and since it was late in the evening they probably didn't move much further. It's not like Mai and her boys had to search the entire city.
It's almost as if she's just trying to force Mai to retreat instead of killing her.
You can't be killed when clad in Utsushi, at least nothing yet has revealed it to be.
And she hasn't fully recover, so she isn't as fast as when attacking Yukari.
I think it's more that she's trying to conserve her strength. I believe it was hinted that repeated use of Jin'i is is quite taxing.
Why is this allowed?
Is this a proper way to start a yuri relationship?
Cool. I would very much like if the show went full-on open yuri, but I doubt it'll happen.
There are improper ways to start a yuri relationship?
Girls with swords and zero males
Bet 100 bucks it will.
Nothing explicit will ever happen, enjoy the subtext.
I hope it will go Hina Logi route though
They're very hasty about it. They should have some sweet times before they start fighting.
It's not yuri if swords don't touch.
Yes, it is important to show off your sheathe to assert dominance.
Your Utsushi-HP can eventually run out if you keep getting hit.
That wouldn't kill them still.
Reminder that Hachimanryoku isn't a skill that uses the Okatana as intermediary to channel one's inner LN monologue spewing loner male protagonist.
For instance, killing her.
Toungues should touch.
I believe in Mai.
I believe that Mai will win the Kanamibowl and she will win so good it will make Trump look like chump change.
I wish they were thicker.
Preview already has a scene of Hiyori blushing
Not going to be innocent anymore after their first night of sword fighting and subsequent polishing.
What are some uses of thick thighs during yuri sex?
We had this scene in the preview for episode 2 as well.
It is the custom of Japan for parents to initiate the process, even to the point of arranging a marriage between total strangers.
Unfortunately, with the abandonment of this custom, that the Japanese people have lost their mating instincts has lead to the reduced birth rate since they don't feel the same instinctual drive as other ethnicities.
Choking your partner with them.
Making sure Hiyori can't wriggle out from between Kanami's legs. Sleeping on Mai's thighs after a long day. Squeezing, hugging and stroking them because Kaoru likes things big.
My word man, that image loses like half the texture, you can barely see that she has toes.
When will this happen.
pseudo-living creature. fucking Mushi Depending
Something happened mid-sentence?
Episode 5. Maybe 6.
Not even reverse search on yandex works, what is this?
He copied my translation post fully,
fucking Mushi was in spoiler tags.
Shonenshit is half dead.
How much this hurts?
Is the game out yet?
why's she naked?
I hope no one here supports the home wrecking whore
Is that you, Mai?
Can't wait for the memescot
It's not her fault her pussy must be dripping honey or something
Yfw all this joke about someone getting stabbed and killed become real.
Whose going to be the DORK?
going to be
She already is.
First thing I thought of was Filia from Skullgirls then second was Senketsu.
I really don't want that to happen. I want this anime to stay fun and about yuri and battoru, no suffering.
Suffering always makes batoru better.
Hiyori is made for suffering though. it makes her cuter.
Suffering makes everything better.
It's going to be like KanColle, one character dies and that's it.
Hot damn, she is really thirsty for that white haired girl.
I don't think there will be much room for plot. We have six girls, maybe seven. If everyone gets an intro episode, we're already almost a the limit.
She's just a replacement.
Yes, Mai looks very happy when Kanami pulls Sayaka closer to her.
There'd still be 18 episodes left if that was the case.
It's 2 cour
Good thing the show is 2 cour.
I'm a bit late but I wanted to let you guys know that I want to lick these knees.
Thanks for your time.
You mean 22.
