I love it because I love synthwave, but if you slide these songs unknowingly in a play list of this stuff, you wouldn't be able to pick it out.It also wouldn't be the best there is. Wondering if people just aren't that familiar with the genre.
I do think the Devilman No Uta is a banger, and I like the one that gets really operatic (sorry I don't know the names of all the songs) because it reminds me of some early 80s Italian horror OST like 'The Beyond' or 'City of the Living Dead' . Stuff by Goblin, too. I wish there had been more of that.
I also think the sad pianosong does a good job, and even some of the more 'dubsteppy' songs. It's a solid soundtrack, but I think my point still stands that it's pretty standard outside of the context of the show.
Sorry, I'm not a music aficionado so I don't know the correct terms for this stuff.
