Anime is saved.

Am I naive to think that this will be a complete adaptation of the manga, since it's finished? The fact that it's an NHK production makes me hopeful at least.

...

...

...

Full adaptation hype! Absolutely loved the manga, hope it'll be a good one.

We don't know if it will be a full adaptation, but hopefully it is.

You can't kill Gainax.

Just watch the Madhouse movie.
It's really good.

>Piano no Mori
I vaguely remember watching the movie years ago and I don't remember anything that happened, but cool. More of stuff like Pleiades would be nice though.

Pleiades is what killed them for a while.

Just read the manga.

Same with Gonzo. At least Gainax are more capable visually than them.

>Pleiades is what killed them for a while.
It was a good death.

Maybe it was for the best for them to grow tomatoas for a while and get back to making some good anime for once.

>At least Gainax are more capable visually than them

I will give them that that they have more talent but Gonzo is way more ambitious than them. Sore ga seiyuu, AOTS. Akiba's trip, comedy of the season. 18if, underrated anime of the season.

Meanwhile nobody is hearing anything from Uru in Blue in ages.

Sore ga seiyuu was good, the other two were straight up trash. Akiba's strip had some charm, but it had nothing else going on, the designs were cute as well.

To be honest, most of the talent from both studios left already. David Productions were made from Gonzo members. Khara and Trigger and NUT were made with previous Gainax members.

Gainax are still most likely fine.

>NUT were made with previous Gainax members

Huh, really?

NUT were formed from ex-Gainax and ex-Madhouse members, yes.

literally the last nut of gainax

same for Madhouse

I don‘t know why, but his hair infuriates me.

It looks like a shitty broom so I don't blame you.

it's shit is why

Loved the manga.
I'm legitimately more excited than I've ever been for an anime in a long time.

Gainax are only Gainax in name now. All the big hitters have left. Who cares.

I always thought that once were part of madhouse for no reason at all. Something about them feels like old madhouse, whatever that means.

Aren't they also doing some Leiji Matsumoto stuff?

>Director: Gaku Nakatani (Madagascar 3 CG supervisor)
Uh, what?

...

Unironically, I also went what the fuck. That dude mostly worked on Western cartoon CG shit.

I mean Madagascar 3 had sick CG so I'm not that concerned

Gainax is back, but it's Called A1+TRIGGER

I think that CG depends a lot on the equipment you have though, since rendering each frame takes forever. And if your equipment sucks you have to cut corners to meet the deadlines, ending up with trash like Berserk CGI. And we don't know if Gainax has money for disney level CGI (in fact they most likely don't).
Meanwhile, drawn stuff depends mostly on the talent of the artists in the project.

That shit has nothing to do with Gainax. It's a shitty mix of Aquarion Evol and typical A1 boring drama.

their director's biggest credit was animation supervision on fucking madagascar 3 and their chief animation director has only ever worked as a character designer
you're gonna wish gainax was dead after this fucking trainwreck

yet somehow this still looks really good and promising

It's not a hard manga to animate to be honest.

true

>their chief animation director has only ever worked as a character designer
I don't know where you got that from, but it's not true.

Pleiades is actually what gives them a hope to stay in the industry.

...

like what?

This is Fukushima Gainax, not the original Gainax.

Still looks pretty dead, man
