Because I enjoyed it more than S1, particularly because of all of the G Gundam references. Hell they even made an Ippo reference once. I got more into the main trio than I did with Reiji/Sei by far as well and having three gunpla lent to more variety and combos. I also liked how over the top it could get like blowing up the moon for instance.
The original did some things better, but Try just plain entertained me more.
