Has this surpassed K-On?

Has this surpassed K-On?

Many shows already have. This is just another layer of dirt on K-on's fetid grave.

Both are dogshit

No that's Sora Yori

K-On's been dead for a while. Yuru Camp is just another meme anime that will come and go quickly

No. I enjoy Camp greatly, but I suspect it will be forgotten next year when something else comfy airs

being a less smelly turd isn't an accomplishment.

false

Based

It deppends on the person. For me yuru camp is much more confy than K-on, but for others not.

K-ON was a genre changing anime wheras Yuru camp is a regular moe anime.
Sora yori had a scope of being a K-ON Killer but then all that forced drama killed their chances.

this doesnt even come close to non non biyori

Sadly no.

Oh look it's the forced drama autist again.

K-On Season 2 is the peak of CGDCT

Yes it has. Thanks for noticing.

He's right though.

Nope.

Yuru Camp isn't particularly good. Most of the threads have people raving about how comfy it is or linking to meme videos they saw on nip twitter as their gateway to the show. No one actually discusses the content of the show besides using buzzwords or about how they want to do this or that with each of the girls. Actually, I guess it's a lot like K-ON in that regard but K-ON had actual characterization and better music variety.

It's my AOTS but really it's just the generic moe show of the season, it does it very very well though. K-on on the other hand, love it or hate it, defined the industry for the next decade.

No.

>it will be forgotten next year
Try next season. It's always the same shit with this kind of shows here. New season starts, SoLfags spam the board with their flavor of the month show, say it's better than K-on, pretend it's the best thing since sliced bread and then completely forget about it when next season comes, with the occasional circlejerk thread to pretend they still care. See, recently: Aho Girl, Umaru, New Game, Gabriel Dropout, Bang Dream, Girlish Number, Flying Witch, Gochiusa, and Yuru Camp this season.

>Flying Witch, Gochiusa

I agree but these two still get semi regular threads. Perhaps not to the same volume as Kon but to a point where they qualify as not forgotten

If they were all forgotten why do you remember every single one of them?

>he says while posting a KusoCG Friends reaction image

Obviously some of those do still have a following to some degree, but as soon as the new season starts the "hurr AOTY" and "hurr surpassed K-on" posts completely stop, and they move on to just being another past SoL that may have been good but obviously not enough to be nearly as transcendental as K-on.

"Forgotten" (read: left behind by its fans to praise a new flavor of the month)

K-ON season 2 was top kino, Yuru Camp probably won't reach those heights.
Still cute though

It really isn't any different from the other 2 (or 3?) moedumps of the season. Or the other countless moedumps of seasons before for that matter.

To answer your question, at least everyone has heard of K-On, no one will remember this by June.

I've never watched K-On so, yes.

This isn't even like k-on though.

Genre changing? You do realize that Azumanga Daioh predates it by seven years, right?

Literally who?

>Sup Forums in 2018
This board is dead.

And the anus cultists killed it. They single Triggerfags as filthy crossies and yet they literally claim they own this board. Why are they so mystified that a growing number of anons have turned against them and Kyoani, rightly or wrongly? Why do they think acting like assholes and labeling all critics Sup Forumsermin or redditors is going to promote any sort of goodwill towards their favorite studio here?

Forgotten by lazy seasonal shitters like you, maybe. I'll remember it because it's actually a good anime which I enjoy.

You already made this thread.

And no, it has not. It's still very good though

As of now, no CGDCT has even come close to how huge K-On was in its heyday. I don't think it can be overstated how genre-defining K-On was.

KyoAni cultists certainly haven't helped Sup Forums, but they're only one of many factors in the board's decline.

Yeah we\ll see.

How exactly was it? What did it do that Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star (from the same studio, in case you didn't remember, and two years before) didn't?

It's funny because Camp Girls and Antarctic Girls are two of the most boring shows this season.

I meant to say Lucky Star is from the same studio as K-On.

He means that Lucky Star is from the same studio as K-On, not that Lucky Star is from the same studio as Azumanga Daioh, dipshit.

Go to bed gramps.

Don't know, but I prefer Hidamari Sketch to both of them.

> better animation
> better character design
> better style
> better girls
> better characters overall
> better music
> more popular
> more sales
> more merch
> more porn

etc, etc. The fact that the benchmark of the thread is against K-On instead of Lucky Star or AD should be proof enough, aside from the few threads we _still_ get weekly on Sup Forums despite the show being nearly a decade old.

If you have a different favorite, that's fine, but don't live in some fantasy where either of those shows are even comparable to K-On's footprint.

K-On's effect on the industry is almost impossible to beat. So no.

The only anime better than K-ON is Ojamajo Doremi

:^)

I still want to be Ritsu so, no.

It's a great anime, but K-on was a game changer

How were the characters better?

Fpbp

I like it, probably my favorite of the season
but that's the funniest thing I've read on Sup Forums in a while, I literally laughed out loud

Only noteworthy cute girls form a club show in recent years was Sabage-bu.

Yes. K-On is kinda shit though so it's not much of an accomplishment.

Hirasawa Yui and Tainaka Ritsu are two of the greatest characters ever created, who go to places you couldn't possibly predict, deeply cute forces of nature, extraordinary, hungry, charismatic, beacons of hope and love depending on your perspective. Their relationship, or rather, their symbiosis is one of the most engaging and endlessly fascinating I've seen. Layers and layers of cake, uncertainty, complex morality. They are human, quite frankly, and I can't think of many characters who compare outside of the greatest works of literature; they're on a Julien Sorel or Colonel Aureliano Buendia level.
