This episode ruined Ichigo. She had the potential to be girl that was right, but turns out she's just the classic jealous type. Oh well. And the main character and 02 are perfect Mary Sues. Yawn, great shit, my dudes.

Last week's episode wrote a check that this week's episode couldn't cash.
It sucks, but it is what it is.

Ichigo could have been a decent strong female character, but Franxx is a shit anime and they ruined the only character that somehow was actually interesting. Her constant fight with herself over lusting for hero and being a competent leader was very interesting, especially when she overcame it and pushed her feelings aside to focus on the mission.
But NO they had to make her weak and delusional, lying to Hiro about seeing him as a brother, then her absolute meltdown and fucking Goro needing to snap her out of it... a pity really. Well after the shitty """twist"""" I already dropped this piece of shit, no wonder it's flopping.

These would be the kind of guys that would be in love with this show if they got subverted. Wasted potential: The show.

If that wasn't obvious to you after the last episode, I don't know what to say.
This one actually might have changed it a bit, with her being willing to ask 02 for help, too. Maybe the "I see you as a sister" finally made it obvious to her that there is no hope, though I guess that would require her to even understand what she's feeling.

Last episode justified Ichigo's worries and made her much more likeable and relatable, since she was in the right both as a leader and a friend to Hiro. This is the episode that ruined it.

Ichigo started shit. Then she stayed shit.

Not, it didn't really. Ichigo never even really gave enough of a shit to test her compability with him until he started piloting with 02. Up until now half of the stuff she did was motivated by jealousy, with "I'm the team leader" just being a cheap excuse.

When will Goro get fed up with her shit?
He was kind of during the battle, but before He looked like he wanted Ichigo to have more interactions with Hiro without him interfering.

The narrative leading in the opposite direction was more interesting. That's why episode 5 is easily the best episode of them all and much better than episode 6. Thus, the show would be much better if they were all like episode 5.

Constant drama of the episode 5 caliber would get boring and tedious really quick.
