BLUEBALLED

Bleach blueballed you in many ways, but this might be the biggest one

I still don't know how people can claim to believe Kubo when he says everything was planned from the start. His modus operandi beyond SS is hilariously stupid, he literally just sets up plot points/characters by the dozen, tries to measure which ones the fujos love most, then focuses on them and hopes everyone just forgets about the rest.

To get blueballed I'd first have to expect something. All I wanted out of Bleach at that point is nice art.

I wish we had a spin-off with Karin on a "villain/mistery of the week"-model instead of the last two arcs.

Karin spinoff would be a dream come true.

All I wanted out of bleach at that point was Aizen, bankais and the final kido spells revealed

Amen!

Battered wife syndrome.

in general Kubo needed to go back to writing more central female characters. I dunno why he got into such a mode of just shoveling them off to be kidnapped, developing them in captivity briefly, then forgetting entirely. All his early works had solid dynamics between the lead women and the protagonist(s)

I hope Kubo does something new soon. I'd especially like it if it was a short series with a pretty simple and contained story. Then he wouldn't have too much time to overcomplicate things and fuck it all up.

kubo needs a manga plot that plays to his strengths( character design) and downplays his weaknesses(actual plot)

a manga about modeling/fashion design would be a good fit i think.

He should just go the Murata route and leave the plot to people with the talent to do so

He should stick to what he does best, art and character design

He clearly liked designing new characters, but he no fucking clue what to do with them once they appeared.

Here's a thought, maybe let the other thread reach the bump limit before starting a new topic.

Soul Society worked really well so they tried it again. It killed blech along with the conflict between Kubo and SJ editorial team.

He should just start drawing porn of his characters.

Can mangaka legally draw and distribute hentai of characters they made or would they run into legal trouble with their past publishers?

He should have made urahara the real villain.

Glad someone remembers this. This is probably the worst dropped plot point outside Kugo and Orihime's desire to destroy the Hogyoku

It wasn't. Even the events of SS was changed because they wanted to milk it. Aizen was never a bad guy and died for real. Uruhara or what ever was the real bad guy.

Black Lagoon guy does tons and tons of porn of his characters.

Pretty sure the authors of Hellsing and Excel Saga did the opposite. iirc, the ES anime even made a passing reference to it.

More like unrealistic expectations; people immediately assumed Karin was also a substitute shinigami when in reality she was just doing some minor hollow cleanup/ Karakuraizer filler bullshit
