Yoru wa Mijikashi, Aruke yo Otome

Did this board like it?

People with taste on this board liked it.

Just passing through.

It was pure kino

I was in Tokyo the one week this movie wasn't showing. There were theaters showing it the day before I arrived and the day after I left. FML

Loved it. The narration in the book was great, but the movie had an even better atmosphere and pacing, plus the musical bits were 10/10.

Fuck I didn't know this came out. Guess I'll go watch it.

Probably Science SARU's best work so far.

I saw it a few months ago at a festival in LA. Absolutely loved it.

It hasn't hit a wide release in Burgerland so shitters haven't ruined it yet.

Not as good as his previous work, but better than the other Science Saru releases so far.

I still prefer Tatami Galaxy, but I really liked it.

More or less.

I think I will start to HATE yuasa/the author of the books if they release a third thing placed in this universe.

>I think I will start to HATE yuasa/the author of the books if they release a third thing placed in this universe.
Agreed.

>plus the musical bits were 10/10
T H I S
I don't like musicals but it was a great part of the story here.

I loved it.
Reminder: Otome > Akashi

>only a 12 chapter show and a movie in it
>Good recurrent characters
>Hating it if there is another show in the same universe

why

>Science SARU's best work so far.
Wait, was Ping Pong not by Saru?

Why do you hate good things?
also
>More or less.
You haven't even watched it.

Season 3 when?

>Otome > Akashi
No.

>you haven't even watched it
The fuck this logic? Are you retard?

I thought it had some amazing bits.

The ending 'internal turmoil' sequence put me to sleep for some reason. I don't know where I've seen that before but I felt like I saw that 100 times already.

>not loving based johnny

It's not that Johnny was bad. Sequence just dragged, I feel.

What is this? A Tatami sequel? How did I miss it?

If Devilman was a hit with normies, will they flood theaters to see "the latest work by the director of Devilman Crybaby" when it comes out in the states?

Same settting, same characters (some), different story.

Agreed. Movie was almost perfect but that internal sequence dragged on for waaay too long.

Haven't watched it yet, which sub group?

Yep. Better than Tatami Galaxy.

Only 1 group have subbed it.

So Shing, MaruChanSubs, and Bonkai77 have all the same subs.

Yes? Can you read torrent info at all?

Why are suddenly triggered?

Was aight. Middle dragged on but the first and last acts were excellent.

One of the best of the decade so far

Not officially, but most of the Saru guys are Yuasa's posse from Tatami Galaxy and Ping Pong as far as I can tell.

Why specifically? As long as they're effective standalone stories, why not?
It's just an effectively real-world setting anyway, so it's not like there's a concept tied to the setting/universe that's being overused here anyway.

If there is a god, Tatami and Yoru wa Mijikashi will never be dubbed. It's not possible to do them justice without japanese.
