This show went from a potentially interesting philosophical discussion about sexuality, humanity, and relationships in the context of a post-apocalyptic mech series and has become a show almost completely about fan service.
I mean... I was sort of hoping for the throwbacks to Eva to be a bit more 1:1 with a lot of surreal post-modern dialogue and imagery but fuck it beach episode time. I'm not gonna stop watching but I was definitely hoping for a direction that I'm starting to think we're not gonna get in the end.
The only reasons to watch this show are extremely shallow ones, like watching Ichigo get bullied and hearing Zero Two say darling over and over.
