i used to, and ill keep up every now and then like watch the movies. but theres very little progression with the characters so i dont watch it often.

I buy the manga every few months.

Sera is an overrated smelly boy.

I'll watch a case or two occasionally.

I've seen that the shittiest of Lupin movies share staff with many of the films in these series. Are they good?

The fillers are suffering.

They're alright, good mystery/action films.

Nothing happens: the anime

Read the manga, then

It's enjoyable. Conan a cute!

>not reading the manga

Never read this series. Was he named after the creator of Sherlock Holmes though?

wasent over?
shit i remember watching it when i was super young

All of the movies are fantastic.

yea until i had no internet for a weekend and read 50 volumes in one sitting.
>always went back to status quo at least 4 times when something actually furthered characterization and aplot.

There hasn't been a good movie after the 5th one.

Yeah, that's where he took his name.

I died after ~400 episodes. Shounen tantei gang should just die.

...

6 and 13 were great.

DC is a huge cultural force in Japan. It's always at the top of ratings, box office, and manga sales. Funimation dubbed 26 episodes and decided there wasn't enough interest to continue.
But I personally never got into it.

...

It overstayed its welcome about 500 chapters ago. Even if the BO thing gets cleared out, it's been to long for me to give a shit about it.

Post your favourite murder motive.

>SHINE

I can't take this seriously. Everything in this show is so normie and almost everyone in BO is actually just a spy for police, FBI...
The woman (forgot her name) knows it but doesn't care. She also knows about Conan iirk, but doesn't do anything about it.

The cheating that never actually happened.

>he said something mean to me

Reminder that movie 3 is best movie.

Name changes. Agree or disagree?

I watched like 100 episodes when it first started airing in my country
I really liked it.
The way that the designs now have pointy faces pisses me off so I don't really watch the new stuff.

Do I?

Best OP coming through

Is there ever any progression in the plot to regain his adult body?

youtube.com/watch?v=DuvWqAkUD0U
Best OP right here.

As of now he only regain his teenager body with Ai's medicine but the effects are temporary. He was considered dead by the BO until recently when he solved a case in his original body and got shown on TV

That episode was pretty kino

I personally really like it.
I'm right now 840/893 episodes in (Almost caught up.)
And while I'll admit, it can be kinda a chore to get through, I think some of the cases are at least engaging enough to keep going.

I think most people who watch Detective Conan watch it for those cases. I just think the plot is just a little extra for those that also care about that, too.

Kinda similarly to how Gintama is, watch it for it's intended purpose because if you're honestly just not into Detective cases, then this series probably just isn't for you.

Same as except I don't go into AOs expecting a bad time.
I shut my brain off like I normally do to let the AO surprise me with simple things. A good handful of the AOs are worthwhile, and some just short of great for some reason or other (location, twist, etc).

But overall I am watching for the plot, and know the speed at which it goes. If the series was over I would have probably skipped all AOs and recommend everybody else do the same.

I loosely maintain this list for that reason: a.uguu.se/6Z1YpQDIWnX6.xhtml

No. Nobody really does anymore. But we're stuck with it. It needs to end.

No, he should be beheaded violently.

when the white guy wrote "shine" and the 2 little girls thought it said shi ne aka go die and made the white guy's lover kill herself

They found out the identity of the Boss

No, just the vice.

The incest at the bachelors party.

Wasn't that a suicide though?

>the link says kUD0U

>v-rod

Suicide is also murder.

Hm.

Kid > Conan

You do know that Conan is selling better than ever? You should also know that the movies are breaking record after record (in its own universe.

I've only seen the dub. It was fun but there are too many murders. Would rather play Professor Layton desu.

I feel like it would have been better if it was just an episodic series about a clever kid detective and not an overarching narrative they have no interest in committing too

That one hit me pretty hard, one of my favorite too.

You a victim of incest, friend? It's okay to share.

Which episode was that one again?

I'd like it more if it ended. The manga's gotta be at least in the 2000s for chapters by now. At this point it just seems like it's eternal and will never reach anything remotely close to a conclusion.

Amuro's introduction, around the 660s

They just found out the Big Bad’s name, so that’s something.

The mini big bad.

Just crossed the 1000 milestone a few months ago, actually

Yes. (Except fillers)

How longer can DC be stretched, anyway?

As long as he wants. I'm happy.

Reminder that the Namek saga exists.

Considering Rum is the second in command, probably an intermediate arc before the finale arc.

Maybe a short epilogue arc after that. There's tons of loose ends to tie up.

Gosho is dying, so not much longer.

is this a harem

The break is going to end in March. He's fine.

Nah, the pairings are pretty much straightforward here.

>One half of the Black Organisation is made of CIA agents
>The other half are undercover FBI agents
Can't wait for the arc, where it's revealed that the third half is made out of NSA agents
This show is going fucking nowhere. And since when did Japan become a US state?

>third half
I know this was intentional

>And since when did Japan become a US state?
September 2, 1945

Yes

>american education

I don't know, I thought the ones on the boat and the plane were pretty boring.

> That cowardly singer who couldn't tell the girl he likes that he was fine with her old look so he became verbally abusive to her instead.
Also
>Oh shit, the original artist is blackmailing me. I'm fucked if people find out I didn't do half the shit I'm famous for. Better kill her asap.

I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed that he keeps managing to come up with case after case after case.

I've tried coming up with a mystery for fun, and I can't do it. It might be because I haven't done it seriously, or it's just not as easy as it sounds

The plane one was decent. Boat was lackluster, I'll give you that.

He's a genius.

It's easy when you follow the golden rule of working backwards.

Think up the murder, trick, and cast first then build the case around it.

Example:
>X killed Y via strangulation
>When did X find the time to fake an alibi, where did the "rope" come from
>Keep adding simpler moving parts (other people, red herrings) to increase the complexity when it's recreated in real time
>X's motive last, just a normie human element to give it all a purpose

>easy

AOs do it all the time

Just because the best of the best can do it consistently does not make it easy.

...

I'm sad Gosho doesn't like drawing him in his actual story.

People will die in the upcoming arc.
