How the fuck did kubo manage to write himself into a corner twice, with enemies that were impossible to beat? Aizen included.

He's a shit writer. People memed so hard about him being a "troll" and taking everything ironically that they forgot he was genuinely shit as fuck and didn't plan ahead. Then when the anime had a shit ending and they realized they were so invested in something that was genuinely shit, they rationalized it with some conspiracy theory about how Bleach got axed.

There were a few potential counters to Yhwach. He just ran out of time.

Bleach got axed because kubo went full retard and people eventually couldn't defend him anymore. If he had taken the time to flesh things out, we probably could've gotten another 100 chapters out of this dumpster fire.

>after 5 trillion chapters Kenpachi finally gets a Bankai
>jobs immediately

Once again kubos fault, the enemy literally couldn't die. Nigga had no weakness

Aside from arrow ex machina that was not consistently set up the like 2 times it was mentioned, how the hell else do you beat juha? Dude was like 2 inches from being a straight up god

There were some good theories on Facbook fighting him.

>Antithesis.
>Orihime honing her powers to "Reject" his Almighty powers.
>Make a weapon of some sort to Hollowfy him. Or have him be negatively affected by Ichigo's inner Hollow when he absorbed his powers.
>Aizen's Bankai.
>RUKIA FREEZES THE FUTURE WITH HER BANKAI!

>facebook

It's like the stronger Kenpachi gets the harder he jobs.

How about someone tell how the fuck was anyone supposed to be beat Gerard? At least Yhwach was said to have weaknesses, what the fuck was Gerard's?

From what I can tell, only Yhwach himself could kill him by calling back his power.

>Shinji’s bankai was never shown
>Ukitake was disappointing as fuck and his bankai will never be known

Even Shitbo himself doesn't know so he had to conveniently write him off in the most retarded way.

I hoped Uryu would use his letter power to reverse past and future and trap Yhwach in a time loop.

Ichigo is a

>Soul Reaper
>Quincy
>FullBringer
>Hollow

Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. Nice main character you got there, kid.

>Aizen bankai
I don't think he can do that anymore. He kept the power of his Shikai, but he doesn't have a zanpakuto.

>In before "When were you under the impression that you need a zanpakuto to perform Bankai."
That is not how it works.

Aizen fused with his zanpakuto, so he could still technically preform Bankai through himself.

Aizen has no bankai

>Aizen fused with his zanpakuto.
That is fucking stupid. Your zanpakuto is literally (You) the inner heart given form. He was already fused with his zanpakuto when he was using it.

> If he had taken the time
He has shit health user, and WSJ didnt give him a break because they arent on the best relationship.
Otherwise they never would have risked losing the #9 best selling manga in the world.

>how the hell else do you beat juha?
With the omnipotent power of a mangaka of course.
There is literally no other way.

>RUKIA FREEZES THE FUTURE WITH HER BANKAI!
Now THAT would have been a great thing to see. Full meta and bullshit ala Kubo. Already a 10/10 chapter just by this premise alone.

But he doesn't need to materialize it to a weapon anymore. Now his body is the power.

>could grant people abilities, and take back those abilities allowing him to use them
>no epic battle where YHWACH uses all 25-26 abilities he reabsorbed from the Sternritters
>no other form other than the boring black eyeblob, that would require every surviving cast to contribute to the fight, including the Dads who were so hyped up when they joined in

let's not even get to the loophole or plot points that never got any closure till after the novels.

so did Togashi. but as much as HxH is nothing but a text ridden manga nowadays, Togashi at least has some sense of pacing, rushed as it is sometimes, just to keep to that 10 chapter per year quota.

Kubo's real problem is pacing; he's far too interested in drawing cooler panel per panel action, dragging the story & unnecessarily prolonging fights.

>Yhwach sees a future where for some reason, his enemies, including Ichigo, are frozen in place, despair in their faces.
>assumes it's from him breaking their spirit.
>Nope. Rukia just Bankai'd
>Weakened Uryu snipes Yhwach from a distance with the arrow that would had weakened him (only none of that "for a few seconds" BS)
>everyone slowly thaws.
>round 2; enraged & weakened Yhwach goes Vollstandig
>battle of attrition by this point

>Nelliel comes with 2 vasto lord
>New vasto lord disable Almighty

You can't compare Togashi to anyone else, nevermind Kubo who had bad blood going on with the higher-ups. The contract Togashi was granted after he almost worked to death during YYH allows him to do literally what the fuck he wants.

He wanted to make Ichigo compete with Superman. But only ended up screwing himself over.

At the very least, he was realistic about it, and didn't just make Ichigo become all powerful out of nowhere. Unlike dbs, which is just pure bullshit.

his mangas only serve as an outlet for his desire to be a fashion designer, so don't expect much effort to be put into writing

>If he had taken the time to flesh things out

The sad thing is, he had the time. With the announcements of "this is the final arc" he had around a year to finish things up and he bogged the plot down with drawn out fight that weren't worth the page count they got. For instance that inane fight against wannabe Thor. "lol I just get bigger! XD" over and fucking over. Or sniping bird dude. Yet founding members of Team Ichigo, like Chad got an offscreen pitty fight against some shitty statues. Kubo couldn't pace a story if his life depended on it.

Remember when Ichigo and co kept ping ponging between Royal Realm and seireitei?

Wouldn't his child be even more borked since he hooked up with orihime and her powers are incredibly bullshit

That's what happens when all you care about is cool two page spreads instead of story

What power had Orihime? I stop reading mange during this Yawah bullshit. All I remember he could heal and make some weak ass shield.

Remember when Toshiro's bankai turned him into an adult for some reason?
Remember when Kyoraku's second sword wasn't actually his and it was the conveniently perfect counter for the enemy he was fighting?
Remember the 2 seconds of Ichigo Bankai we saw?
Remember how Yamamoto was forced to job cause he was too powerful to stay in the arc?
Remember when Yhwach spent the last 20 or so chapters going 'NO U' to everybody he fought?
Remember how hard Squad Zero jobbed?
Remember when Byakuya did literally nothing in the final arc except off screen a bunch of fodder?
Remember when Kenpachi's vice captain was his sword the whole time?
Remember when Kenpachi's bankai showed up and he kinda used it a bit before jobbing?
Remember when Ichigo's blut was introduced and then promptly forgotten about within the space of 2 pages?
Remember when the quincies seemed cool but then Kubo somehow made them boring and basically shinigamis but not really?
God Kubo I hate you so much for how good Bleach could've been

The rejection of events "healing" thing

>the conveniently perfect counter

Sounds like a good alternative title for Bleach in general. An assload of Kubo's fights just happen to pair off opponents where the winner just happens to have a previously undisclosed ability that's just the worst possible match for the opposing guy, instead of making the best of what you have in an inventive way.

>An assload of Kubo's fights just happen to pair off opponents where the winner just happens to have a previously undisclosed ability that's just the worst possible match for the opposing guy,
A million times this

>instead of making the best of what you have in an inventive way.
Kubo almost nailed this with final fight in Fake Karakura town when the captains teamed up on Aizen, only to have it handwaved away by Aizen with lolIllusion and MUH REIATSU

It was so lazy from him how every single fight boiled down to:
>2 guys fight
>one takes the other down easily with his super attack
>BUT WAIT
>the other guy gets up just as the other guy is acting smug, and uses HIS super attack
>the other guy goes down
>BUT WAIT
>the other guy gets up and does his mega super attack that perfectly counters his opponent's everything that's never ever been mentioned before
>he wins before collapsing after the enemy goes down
By the end of the last arc I was just reading the fights just to see how many asspulls Kubo could use in one fight

In hindsight, his usual way of showcasing of Shikai and Bankai mechanics were badly done from a narrative POV. For the most part, the first occurrence of a power and its explanation, usually even narrated by the owner of the power, happened in the very same fight, thus he tended to set up everything to be resolved neatly for one fight. For instance, I think it would have been more fun for the reader, if Shunsui used his assbackwards poetry bankai a few times throughout the story, but without an explanation, against various opponents, so we'd get to speculate throughout the entire manga how his power worked. Instead all was saved for a single final fight where Kubo blew his load.

The one single time Kubo pulled of a longer running setup with his storytelling was the "Aizen is evil" reveal and he banked in on that "ruse king" fame for the rest of the manga, when most of the time, everything was more of a "wing it as we go" type of storytelling.
