Main topics:
>Late night anime > Mainstream/kids anime right now in revenues and amount of shows
>Main "oversees" revenue increase since 2015 is exclusively China. NA and rest while increasing, still contribute much less in comparison.
>Live Events now is major source of profits in addition to other ones
etc.

>Yurucamp 16289
I've strong suspicion that since yurucamp is normie-friendly it's much more likely to be watched on crunchyroll than downloaded. Franxx and death march are other way around.

businessdestinations.com/destinations/anime-enjoys-explosive-popularity-in-china/
>After a stringent government crackdown on online piracy, legitimate streaming sites such as Youku and Bilibili have been paying extraordinary sums for anime streaming rights. It is not unusual for an episode of one of the most popular shows to sell for more than $100,000, while an entire series can cost upwards of $1m. While this is an incredible amount of money to be spending on licensing, the viewing figures prove this hefty investment is worthwhile: for example, on Youku alone, episodes of the popular ninja series Naruto have more than 2.5 billion views.

And Idolshit7 is No.1.

More anime is being produced then ever, but length of it in minutes is actually decreasing (because shorts and no longer shows and oavs)

animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-01-31/netflix-to-co-produce-anime-with-production-i.g-bones-wit-studio/.127164

Streaming service Netflix announced a comprehensive business alliance with anime studios Production I.G and BONES on Wednesday. With this tie-up, Netflix will co-produce anime episodes from the studios and stream them in 190 countries.

The alliance includes both Production I.G and its sister anime studio in the IG Port group, Wit Studio. (IG Port is also the parent company of anime studios Xebec and Signal.MD, but Netflix did not mention those studios in its announcement.)

animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2015-05-27/anime-studios-success-calculated-based-on-10-years-of-disc-sales/.88558?ann-edition=uk

>According to Masamune Sakaki, a CG creator in the anime industry, an average 13-episode anime season costs around 250 million yen (or $2 million). He also made it clear that most anime can't recoup this expense, and the industry rests on the windfall of a few big hits. In a July interview, Takayuki Nagatani, producer of Shirobako (itself an anime about anime production), claimed that his show cost 500 million yen (or $4 million) for 24 episodes. In order to make it sell, he had to "advertise it, plan events, and make merchandise." Shinji Takamatsu, a veteran animator, cited a figure of 150 to 200 million yen ($1.2 to $1.6 million). "Expecting to make that up through disc sales alone is a hopeless business model, but that's how almost all late night anime are," he writes.

Sales interpretation of the past (not relevant in this era as BD sales dropped drastically in general and revenue sources shifted)

Three Rings for the Gundam Kingsunder the sky,
Seven for the PreCure Lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Fanservice Otaku doomed to die,
One for the Kyoto Overlord on his dark throne
In the Land of Tokyo where the Studios lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them,
In the Land of Tokyo where the Studios lie.

...

What with all these charts?
Can you not just settle at bd reports as usual?
This is already spamming if you ask me

Because people post a lot of ignorant nonsense and it is good to get the data out of the way in begining instead of replying to stupid quesetions and assertions. Those who actually interested in anime production/popularity might learn something useful.

Post US.

...

You could have atleast posted the up to date chart.

Post the other shows in the OP dumb falseflagger. No one cares about VEG vs. Franxx except for shitposters.

They were deleted because they were full-on fanbase wars. The regular non-fanbase war Stalker threads with all shows in the OP as opposed to just VEG/Franxx/Fate were comfier and weren't deleted.

It just updated 5 minutes ago, and basically everything went down, so not much change. Even VEG changes after today's episode mostly will happen tomorrow evening.

How come these days Stalker OP only posts VEG/Franxx, but last year no Stalker OP only had Maidragon/LWA, and all the Stalker threads mentioned all the shows in order?

It's really like it's just the same one or two people making these VEG/Franxx-centric Stalker threads.

>No one cares about VEG vs. Franxx except for shitposters.
Pretty sure it is the opposite. The only relevant numbers are for VEG/Franxx/Extra. The rest can enjoy thier shows without caring for sales or competition.

It is not like it is relevant for them (Antarctica aside) anyway. For example the studio making Yurucamp most likely will get zero from it's anime success as it is just paid to animate it and is not in production commity.

If you're going to post some awful facebook voting thing, at least post the most recent one.

Checked the site, not the facebook. Thanks for update.

>VEG and Franxx had the only relevant numbers
Except for at least 5 shows outselling them both, invluding a fucking Cooking Mama show
>b-but these don't count
Keep going, shitposter

You are proving my point. You only care about the "other shows" in relation to their sales/ranking compared to VEG/Franxx

Nah, go to Stalker threads, and the only ones who care about those three shows are shitposters and studio fanboys. Everyone else goes "YuruCamp/YoriMoi is doing well!" or "The power of Fujos!" or lamenting the poor sales of stuff like KoiAme and the like.

So your argument is so wrong.

>For example the studio making Yurucamp most likely will get zero from it's anime success as it is just paid to animate it and is not in production commity.
You're just moving the goalposts now. Yaoyorozu was not in the KF production committee, but no one ever said "muh production committee".

Most of the YC/YoriMoi posts don't even talk about VEG/Franxx. They just consider those shows as hits on their own merits.

CGDCT is anything but normalfag-friendly.

Implying they care.

>"muh Netflix"
>"muh Crunchyroll"
>"muh streaming"
>"muh China"
>"muh production committee"

What will the goalpost-moving falseflaggers think of next?

Just admit that it's only shitposters who care about VEG vs. Franxx. Others might care about VEG alone, or Franxx alone, or both shows, but only shitposters care which outperforms which. Others are just happy/sad about how their own show is doing.

Also, how come Yurucampfags and YoriMoifags are rather silent on their shows doing well, and just keep comfy and not try to start any fanboy wars? I mean, even the Fatefags don't really seem to say much about Cooking Emiya.

Took you long enough.

>For example the studio making Yurucamp most likely will get zero from it's anime success
So?
We're talking about Yuru Camp doing well here, not the studios.

All that matters is that Franxx flops. As far Extra goes, it would be nice if it would mix things out a bit, but with current quality Shaft is out of the race even if it sells semi decently - it is unqialified to compete.

Franxx fags went from "lololol look at us btfoing VEG" to "who cares" and now to falseflagging as Yurucamp/Sorayori fans trying to divert attention (tried baiting Citrus too, but /u/ does not care about sales it seems)

It's just the falseflagger trying to move the goalposts again. Just let them sink in their delusion, they'll get tired of it eventually. They're just trying to find ways to force their forced fanbase war.

You are completely missing the point of the stalker theads/sales discussion in first place then.

The sales are only relevant as
1) Means to get S2/more anime of that type
2) Means to support creators at studio, so that they could make more and better anime

/u/ probably doesn't care much about sales since they know yuri shows almost never sell. They do go "muh Crunchyroll" and "muh manga sales" as their coping mechanism, though. And unlike the VEG/Franxx falseflagging, most of it appears to be genuine.

...

Yeah, why didn't you make that argument with other shows before? There have been plenty of successful, 10k+ selling shows whose studios weren't in the production committee. And yet no one ever seems to bring up "muh production committee" with them.

But we do. I.e. laughing at Shaft per usual

True.

Even so, you never saw before this season Stalker threads where only one or two shows were included in the OP. For example, there were never Stalker threads that had only Maidragon or LWA in the OP, or threads with only Love Live in the OP, or threads with only Sangatsu in the OP. There were also never Stalker threads which only included Kemono Friends. It's only been this season when two-show OPs became common, and I'm 100% sure that most, if not all of them, were made by the same person.

Anybody know how much Monogatari series sold overall

IIRC, the total volume sales of the whole franchise has already exceeded 1 million.

...

I've been making Stalker theads since 2011 (not regular, but i pretty much started it). Original were not even stalker at begining, but just posting screenshots of Amazon rankings.

It always were because of competition and shitposting (Fractale), and explosive sucess if it happens (Madoka/YoL/LL).

Picture still lacks YoriMoi. That might need to be fixed.
