Adapt the Three Body Problem trilogy. The first book starts off as a mystery and then spirals into cosmic horror.

Cute young girls in high-school doing cute girl things.

what about the story of a female detective who solves mysteries by having sex with various men in order to gather information

It's Hyouka except somebody dies. So HaruChika.

fund it

The former commander of a frontlines unit from a just-ended conflict has been fired with little chance of a pension or further care from the government/military. As there is still great confusion regarding casualties, and he is the one most aware of who survived and who did not, he feels obligated to speak to the families of the deceased soldiers under his command. While doing this he encounters a number of people who were touched by the lives of his subordinates before the war, and who are touched by him speaking on behalf of the fallen soldiers. It ends with the main character unemployed, forgotten, and sleeping in a gutter, with only a sign saying that he is an unemployed veteran.

MC is the murder. Every episode he ends up killing someone by accident, then the rest episode is him shitting on his pants afraid of being caught. Sometimes he takes drastic measures in order to not get caught.

MC get transported to a fantasy world when he sleeps

I like it. Basically Death Note but good.

>murderer
Fixed.

Phone. Crush. Different dimension. Mystery.

modern day japan
magic is real, but it is against the law so is viewed as corrupt and perverted

A girl gets pregnant and is transfered to a special high school for pregnant girls. They do cute stuff and talk about their changing bodies and upcoming responsabilities. Alternatively, MC is a guy that got transfered to a pregnant girls only school because of an administrative fuckup.

2 cours + 2 movies

A young lady just starting her career as an insurance claims investigator finds herself saddled a mysterious case of arson where the sole surviving inhabitant is a young man of similar age that may have the key to the truth. However, the young man possesses a memory disorder prevents him from remembering who he is and on top of that the only item he had on him that might have a clue is a unique phone of an unknown brand which happens to be password locked.

The girl gets put in charge of taking care of him by her superiors and she has him accompany her on her investigations in hopes that it triggers a memory. Nothing comes for a frustrating week but then he gets a call on his phone with a synthetic voice announcing a series of numbers - a series of numbers that unlocks his phone. What the pair discover behind the lock lead them to another apartment in the city where they finally seem to find his name, life and occupation waiting for him there. The problem with that though is that none of it fits with what they did know of him before. It's him in the pictures they find there, the neighbours attest to him being the owner of the apartment and he immediately gets back into the swing of sorting out the documents that lay on his desk but the neighbourhood where they found him also recognize him as a silent but ever present tenant of the burnt down building.

CONT
With nothing else to go on, they decide to put the mystery behind them and give the man more time to sort out his memories but nothing still comes to him over the next few weeks. They're ready to let things lie in the dark but then the man gets another call with another set of numbers. When they unlock the phone once more with this new set, it leads them to yet another apartment that seemingly belongs to him but paint the portrait of an entirely different person, one with a clearly criminal calling and another name to know him by. Once again, the man demonstrates an unconscious familiarity with the array of weapons and invoices they find there but can't at all recall how he fits so well into this picture.

With two very different lives at odds with the mysterious one left behind in the fire and each other, the pair are at loss over who they should take to be his true identity to be. The realities they uncover between all three tell of a man who was somehow fit impossibly perfectly into each one even though he simply couldn't have been all three at the same time. Before either of them can settle on any one truth though, the phone rings yet again. Another number waits for them on the other end and with it, another man for him to be.

I call this "The Man In The Phone".

A murder mystery with Uchikoshi-style pseudo-science. The twist is that you, the viewer, are the one who ultimately caused the death of the victim by watching the anime, because of quantum superposition bullshit.

That has a very similar vibe to a movie called Unknown

Camus Club Confidential

A group of high schoolers bond over The Stranger by Albert Camus after being forced to read it for class. They discuss the fact that they've all lost someone (pet, grandparent, uncle, aunt, etc.) and didn't cry at a funeral, making them total badasses. They form a secret club, the Camus Club, that meets for intellectual discussions (mostly to whine about people they hate).
One day they discover a news story about hobo hunting and how there's somebody in their very own town who has been setting fire to homeless people and how awesome someone like that has to be.
Then one day the police show up at their school, apparently a student is a suspect because he police discovered some evidence to that effect.
The Camus Club members are interviewed because the teachers were well aware of their edge lord tendencies. As they are being interrogated one by one some break down like little bitches because they think they're in trouble while others try to play it cool and make themselves even more suspect. Nobody is arrested but some of the club members are put under surveillance.
The Camus Club is split into two factions: those who want to prove their innocence by any means necessary, and who as a result end up trying to find the real culprit despite knowing nothing about investigating crimes and making themselves a nuisance to the police in the process, and those who want to play cat & mouse with the police just for shits and giggles.

A isekai with the mc and thousands of people get sent to a new world. They also don't meet God or get any explanation.
Mc just finished off uni as a engineer. He is not some genius and has a lot to learn still.
They all freak out and a lot become adventurers fighting shit and getting stronger.

Mc is not a fighter at all.
He goes to a village and just tray to figure out what to do.
Becomes trusted in the village building and fixing things mostly by improvising.
Gets a bunch of mates who are all good guys he likes.
He gets a girl and instead of building a harem he marries her and has a family.
He has some dramas but his life is pretty good.

10 years later he and every one who was sent to the new world gets sent back.

There is no explanation for it at all that he knows of and he freaks out.
He asks all the people trying to find out why and how to get back.
Rest of the anime is him finding his way home.

A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

But as it turns out in the end, the girl was merely pretending and just fucking with the boy.

In the ending, the girl loudly declares and publicly reveals on-stage while on live TV the records of their interaction and how the boy believed everything, his secrets and that the deus ex machina and AU isn't real just to embarrass the boy. Boy goes batshit insane due extreme embarrassment and rapes the girl in front of the crowd and no one can stop him because they are on top of an isolated stage planned by the girl for his most shameful moment in life, which backfired, preventing her escape or rescue from rape.

Scene ends with the boy getting shot by the cops and the girl's echoing cries on the stage.

boring

murder mystery where all the main characters are housewives, the mc is a washed-up former detective who quit her job because of some particularly traumatic case. when one of her friends she knows from meetups dies she tries to take up the case on her own in an attempt to regain some of her lost pride and purpose, looking into the lives of the other housewives and clashing with the police. could get psychological, potential for ntr and all sorts

...

Former detective suffering from dementia after getting shot in the head turns into a wanted underworld criminal trying to gather enough nuclear warheads to destroy the moon

meant for OP

why the fuck would anyone want to destroy the moon

A race of Gods invent a magical item, a 'cube', which can support a virtual universe inside of it.
The Cube sets up a scenario by creating a universe, fast-forwarding time up to a certain point, then providing a person that a God can 'insert' into. The God can then explore this universe and the scenario that the creator has made.
An ordinary girl discovers that she is one such self-insert, and her world is a lie. All the rumours of secret societies controlling the world and it's events? That's the Cube, setting up the world according to the creator's parameters.
The creator of this Cube gives it to his two sons, who each explore the story though the MC and each get a different message out of it, one not intended by the creator, due to the inherant randomness of the universe.
MC, when she's not posessed by a God, manages to get outside the Cube, only to find the world of the Gods at war, with the two sons each leading a different side, thanks to the different messages they got out of the story.
MC is caught between the warring factions and must find a way to rescue her world and her friends from the machinations of the Gods.

HAHAHA LOOK! HE IS HOLDING A CELL PHONE! LE EPIC KEIT-AI REFERENCE LMAO AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LELELELE

LEEEEL FINDS A WAY AMIRITE MY LE KOMER/a/DES? HAHAHA WOOOW I AM SCREENCAPPING THIS POSTING AND GOING TO r/keitai TO POST THIS CLASSIC MOMENT

HOLY SHIT SUCH A FUNNY FUNNY MEME! I CANT FUCKING BELIEVE IT THIS IS SO HILARIOUS IM GONNA CUM IM CUMMING UPVOTES MY LELS ARE IJ ORBIT LE XD THE KEITAI MEME IS JUST SO FUCKING HILARIOUS FOR SOME REASON IM TOTALLY NOT FROM REDDIT

>The moon shot the detective in the head

I don't know, maybe give him a dumb backstory that Sup Forums would defend as good writing like:
>wanted to go stargazing at a full moon from the mountains with his osananajimi
>couldn't make it so he told his friend to go alone and not miss it
>friend goes and ends up falling to his death
>blames himself for his friends death
>gets shot
>now his brain is fucked, blames the moon instead

I cant really give a synopsis cause im tired but basically this guy lives in this world, there are heroes of all sorts, from a group of adventurers, fbi agents, government spies, military, lone assassins and swordsmen, generic hero archetype, etc, dedicated to stopping all these villains popping up, from mad scientists, to demon kings, to dictators, and with all these baddies roaming around and their nefarious schemes, they hire henchman, and with so many villains opening shop the competitive wage for the job field makes being a henchman a pretty wealthy job, along with the fact that your pretty likely to die.

And here comes our protagonist. Due to an incident he was laid off his old job. Desperate for money to keep his daughters medical bills in check as she's being taken care of for a near incurable disease(like cancer, more than likely to be cancer), he decides to take the job of a henchman. But thanks to his former job, he is highly skilled in combat, survival, and disguise. But his morals wont let him intervene with the actions of a person trying to save the world.

The entire series is basically seeing him avoid death over and over as different types of heroes infiltrate these bases, from pretending to be shot and killed by the military, to avoiding assassin types altogether, to pretending to be knocked out against the group of adventurers, and seeing him be badass when he actually has to confront one of these guys and has to face him, they thinking he's just another henchmen until they see hes strong, if not stronger than them, if it werent for his morals that the villain surely succeed in his plans to take over the world, destroy the world, pollute the world, etc, etc.

Five kids from a karate dojo find their sensei murdered and it can be one of five grandmaster (ninja school, boxing school, pro wrestling school, kung fu school and rival karate school) so they investigate who murdered their master while also having karate fights to find out who was responsible.

A serial killer who leaves verses from the Quran in his crime scenes as clues to his next murder, I'd hire an Imam to give me hints for plot progression

Not sure if you guys actually read it, but read it again. Not ket ai, but would fund.

this doesn't sound bad actually

Is this the deconstruction of the keit-ai genre?

sempai listened to me!!

Fuck yeah!!!

Simple anime this time
je ne regrette rien for the OP
Gothic Lolita chain smoking the whole time
Nothing else matters

I had a few other ideas but I've been drinking and nothing is better than a Gothic Lolita who dose not give a fuck

Oh wait it returns to me ...
No ive lost it (because I'm drinking again)
Fuck! it was something about a girl who doesn't regret anything .....
Something about いき...

In spring flowers bloom
A cold beer beneath a tree
Watch girls walk up stairs

... fuck I saw perfection and I let it slip

Sounds like an edgier rip-off of that anime movie with the same premise but it's Christianity instead

MC is a shapeshifter detective. He catches serial killers by finding ways to make himself their next victim.

The main characters are a hard nosed no nonsense police chief, a down on his luck detective, a smoking hot redhead with sharp wits and a sharper tongue, and a teenage boy who has an unrealistic number of solved cases. They get isekaied to solve the mystery of who killed the demon king.

In typical isekai fashion they get cheats, the police chief gets an automated pocket dimension forensics lab(which can also analyze magical evidence), the detective gets an ability to intimidate anyone, and the fighting power to follow through on his threats, the redhead gets the ability to see through and understand any magic she sees, and the teenager gets incredible stealth skills.

The suspects are a wide array of fantasy characters with something to gain. Such as the Hero who is the ex of the demon king's wife, the leader of the succubi who have been unsuccessfully trying to change laws in the demon lands to get rid of what they see as unfair treatment, the demon king's younger brother who is to inherit the throne, the human king of a neighboring kingdom who has been dealing with political unrest about the peace with the demons and a stagnant economy, as well as others.

The protagonist is the one who is murdered, but he can come back to life if he can uncover the exact circumstances around his death. The murders get increasingly complex as government agencies fear him and try to put him down for good.

This, but instead of highschool students make them highschool teachers ala Rebecca Miyamoto. The school they work at lets them switch the classes they'll be teaching with each other, and we see them interacting and such between breaks. Some of the classes they're assigned to include an all male class full of Cromartie/Nichibros fuckery, a class for old senile people and a class made up entirely by /x/ creatures.

30 years after the nuclear apocalypse a colony of survivors begun to rebuild themselves into the last bastion of paradise. The world's still in perpetual winter but the colony is surrounded by these mysterious pillars where the sky above is clear from the dust and smoke that blanketed the Earth. It allowed the renewal of agriculture to sustain themselves while scientists and engineers refurbished old plants and machines and developed better stuff. They're armed but never get raided by the lingering savages outside for some reason.

MC is a lucky scavenger who was looking for supplies for his small group of survivors in the city ruins and was spotted by a patrol chopper.

He and his group get settled in and was amazed at this society. Not only it was like before the war but their technology was also far more advanced, albeit there's tougher laws to follow. MC soon learns about a series of disappearances and murders of children to doctors. No guilty party was ever found.

It turns out the colony was propped up by alien scientists disguised as us to survey and maintain the human colony. They intervened to save mankind from extinction. Sometimes they inadvertently get befriended and one of them gets followed around by a girl from MC's group. Those who find out the truth get taken outside and doomed to perish, if possible.

Police find a dead girl tied up in a box on some waste ground.
Also inside the box is a cell phone that has been anonymised and can only post to an obsolete messageboard, @ch-i.net

Detectives visit the board and find hundreds of desperate posts from the phone
They are all similar in nature
>my name is [redacted] i am trapped in a box pls help me
>pls help me i cant breath
>pls help i can hear traffic
>pls help
board traffic is virtually zero so there aren't replies

A few days pass and another girl is reported missing, soon more posts start appearing on @ch.
Police begin to question the poster.
As this is a public forum they are hesitant to give too much information as the kidnapper could presumably just move the victim.
The girl says she can hear machinery and that she is very cold, then the posts stop.
With little to go on the police are powerless to help here.
A few days later the girl is found dead in the cold storage locker of a fish market, hundreds of miles from where she went missing.

Somehow girls are being kidnapped and shipped all over Japan in sealed boxes.

There are more cases, but as @ch rumors start how can they be sure what is real and what isn't?
Especially as the kidnapper goes to evermore elaborate length to hide the victims from police and starts impersonating the girls himself.

The final act starts with the detective being kidnapped and waking up in a box encased in concrete with one of the victims he saved.
