Literally just started watching it. I know I shouldn't but imma lurk this thread anyway.

What the fuck even happened with this show. I have never seen a show go from superb to shit so fast. This is why you don't give your steampunk zombie anime to fucking mecha writers.

i just finished it last night. overall I thought it was pretty good but idk, I never hear anyone talk about it. It's not great or anything but i enjoyed it.

i cant deal with the protag, gets bitten somehow manages to stop it and become strong, so boring

at first, but it went to shit pretty quick so opinions turned

thats why no one talks about it. its average. people only talk about stuff that is really good or really bad.

I dropped it when the Red haired faggot was introduced since I could feel the shit direction it would take after that.

It's only average because it goes from an 8 or a 9 in the first half to a 4 or 5 in the second half, so it averages out. If you only look at the end it's really bad.

I thought it was going to be like Attack on Titan, with how the stories seemed similar and also being from the same studio. While I did like it, it felt really slow to start. I felt it was a lot like the shows opening, slow and a bit quiet, but still enjoyable.

>8 or a 9 in the first half
not even close, and i wont ever get why people hate biba as much as they apparently do. not like the designs were realistic until he appeared. or that the writing was particularly good. he blended in pretty well with the rest of the show.

No retard. It's because it aired 2 years ago now. There's nothing left to discuss.

I don't remember anyone else having unnatural hair colors until he showed up. But other than that he was fine, imo.

What was up with this guy anyway?

Fuck no. Biba is one of the worst characters of all time.

The first episode was amazing.
I didn't care for whats-her-face.
The show was ruined when Biba showed up.

Biba's appearance shat on all of the buildup and character development for what's-her-face that happened in the previous whatever episodes.

Fuck off, it only aired a couple seasons ago, right?

eh, I wouldn't say that's "unnatural" really. People do have red hair. Maybe not japanese people. I was thinking more like bright blue or pink or something.

I don't really get the hate for Biba. He got betrayed and was rightfully pissed about it. Plus he actually was a good hunter. He was nuts, no question, but he wasn't wrong to be angry at the shogun. I feel like he just kinda lost sight of any sort of plan and wanted to watch to world burn.

The first few episodes set up an interesting world but the rest of it completely failed to capitalize on any of it. The show had already started to go off the rails even before his appearance, but his appearance was when it finally derailed. Biba brought an unnecessary human face to a man vs. the world plot. Not only that, but he was completely devoid of any sort of character. Why would you think fighting some random asshole is more interesting than fighting zombies. And let's not mention that fact that his only real motivation was literally killing everybody, yet he still had a large group supporting his retarded cause.

This guy and the muscle girl porn were the only redeemable things about this series.

I wonder why anime directors keep telling sawano to make the same shit once again, kill la kill was the last time the director told him to try and at least make some tracks different.

yes its kino

Yeah I feel like this is a big problem with the show that SNK got right.
When the show starts, we're kind of thrust into this world of zombies and huge walled towns along rail lines. But they never really explain any backstory to this. When did the zombies come? Why are these rail lines here already? The time period is tough to pin down as well, meaning you can't get a good feel for whether it's really advanced tech they're using, or stuff they developed in place of shit like firearms and electricity.

SNK, on the other hand, did a great job of expanding on what happened to the world. Why they built the walls, what life was like before. They've actually organized forces in the SNK universe to fight back, and to go out and explore the world. In this show there doesn't really seem to be anything like that. There's Biba's group, and other railforts, but are they actually fighting back against the zombies to reclaim land, or just running from station to station for trade and shit like that?

I actually got excited when Ikoma found that shipwreck after he fell out of the train. I thought maybe they'd find some old journal about the virus and he'd realize it all started there. Then maybe they could band together and fight back. But no, there was nothing there, and it just ended with another station burned down and the Iron Fortress leaving. Although I also don't understand where it's going to go. Wasn't that station like the end of the line? Are they just going to circle the tracks forever until everyone is dead? The show kind of reminds me of Snowpiercer in some ways. But at least that movie had a coherent plot that explained what happened to the planet...

Because people like that generic Sawano sound.
His every new OST sounds like Unicorn #what-fucking-ever.

My released pressure points say "yes"

I've seen it three times.
