The Heart

Kubo made Aizen stupid strong and had to defeat him in an even stupidier way

Ichigo is a human. Ichigo is a shinigami. Ichigo is a hallow. Ichigo is a quincy. Ichigo is literally Jesus. Shit makes no sense.

By the time the Aizen fight came around it had already gone full retard, but the final arc found a way to go further than that.

SS arc.

Dropping Ichiruki at the last minute, giving Rukia to that baboon jobber leaving Ichigo to settle for a big titted sloppy seconds.

>last minute

I never had problems with that page, but Ulquiorra dying was when Bleach started going to shit for me.

>ichiruki even being on the table in the first place
Check out the pilot. You had Rukia teasing Ichigo about being in love with Orihime.

>Taking the pilot as anything.
Orihime also died in it.

And she lived in the actual series and got married to Ichigo aka the pairing Kubo teased in the pilot.

The pairings was the least of that shit ending's problems.
It's quite simple. Kubo, like many shounen writers, doesn't plan things out. Nearly every arc, besides possibly the substiute arc, was Kubo really just thinking things up on weekly basis. It only got worse when fan popularity started to influence him.

They really can't plan things out; they are only published for as long as their publisher wants them to be. That could mean they get cancelled next week or they need to keep going for 10 more years after the story is over like Supernatural.

>they get cancelled next week
Pretty sure WSJ give their mangakas a heads up before cancelling a series. There's no way they tell them "oh yea btw the next chapter has to be the last".

They get a month at best.

Definitely better than a week.

>Ichigo is literally jesus
>lost like a chump anyways and had to get his ass bailed like always

Fucking Kubo

Most people might say that the arrancar arc was the one that broke the camel's back, but it was doing financally well, still selling more than the substiute reaper arc even.
It wasn't until the full bringer arc that the series really went down in the sales charts.
Anime wise, that is a completly different story entirely.

Not enough Yoruichi, Halibel, Isane or Kuukaku

Attached: 1459632925613.jpg (500x500, 133K)

>Kuukaku
Always surprised when people mention her since she was only semi-important for a few chapters.

Doesn't stop her from being fucking delicious.
Kubo might be a shit storywriter, but god damn does he make his women great

Attached: 1459610084503.png (662x908, 500K)

>What went wrong?

Kubo Tite being a pretenious piece of shit who was more in love with rule-of-cool and appeasing ungrateful fujoshi/fanfags and his editor, rather than writing a coherent story, he originally envisioned.

>he originally envisioned.
Which was?

I wonder if his artstyle is the reason why someone like Murata would follow him on twitter. Kubo does have some great designs, especially when it comes to his women.

Attached: 58920001_p9_master1200.jpg (807x610, 314K)

It should've been around 200-250 chapters with a good ending

did he ever even do anything with his nu-sword there? I don't recall him defeating a single enemy with it

Occasional sameface aside, Kubo is actually a pretty great artist.
But yeah, he really fucking shines when he designs his women

Attached: 1486888876092.jpg (1563x7771, 2.79M)

I heard about this before, but the only changes to the story influenced by editors were the 1st arc getting rushed to start with SS, the arancar arc getting extended to milk its popularity, capitains showing up at the end of fullbring to fix the low popularity, and ofcourse whatever happened behinde the scenes of the rushed ending

No new ideas, no resolution to Soul Society being a corrupt hellhole, far too many characters, not even remotely close to enough character development, atrociously bad pacing that even seemed to impact Kubo himself and cause the final battles to be rushed and anticlimactic, and a terrible series ending both in general and due to the pacing (even with the ultimatum hovering over it).

The fanbase.

>Occasional sameface
Honestly every mangaka "suffers" from sameface. Murata is a great artist, but a lot of his female faces are similar for the most part, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's ridiculous to expect a mangaka to come up with a brand new face for every little character. Sameface just means the artist has come up with their own style.

Every after SS arc and outside of Rukia.

>no resolution to Soul Society being a corrupt hellhole, far too many characters
This is honestly my biggest problem with Bleach. And concerning too many characters problem, not only the original casts(as in SS arc) already fucking huge but he also made a new gang with like every arc. Shit is nuts.

While there is some truth in what you say, the inability of Kubo to plan ahead is really noticable through out every one of his arcs.
I mean, this is the guy who did a 180 with Renji's character just a few chapters after introducing him.

>Ichigo is a human. Ichigo is a shinigami. Ichigo is a hallow. Ichigo is a quincy. Ichigo is literally Jesus. Shit makes no sense.
This. I don't think there's ever been a more special individual than Ichigo. It's the worst kind of wish fulfillment.

And I think you probably forgot a bunch of shit.

She was fun and had that feeling of originally being more important then she ended up.

Attached: 56737457_p0_master1200.jpg (600x838, 252K)

A lot of the arcs felt like repeats of each other.
Fights were boring and unimaginative.
Ichigo was boring.
Constant powerups to fight new foes instead of fights being won by being smart and resourceful.
Last arc was drone out with bullshit asspulls and boring fights.
A lot of powers being not shown or jobbing instantly.
A personal gripe is having the Visored not using their mask and hollow powers (which are super effective) againt quincies.

>this is the guy who did a 180 with Renji's character just a few chapters after introducing him.
Or maybe that was his plan with his character in the first place.

Yeah, Even Naruto was way more interesting, and that way before we even knew how special he really was.

in response to

>Ichigo was boring.

It only ever did 1 thing right

Attached: AllColourBeachSpread.png (1465x1050, 3.12M)

Super special MCs are not new, and to say Ichigo is any different is stupid.
Ichigo is just a boring MC, he could have remaind a normal human who got unlucky with a shinagami as he orginally started, and he still would be a bland character.

at least Nardo had some aspiration, he wanted to be a hokage.
Ichigo was just there, he had more personality at the start of the anime that at the ending, I mean he inherited his fathers clinic but it doesnt feel like he wanted to be there.
even Uryu had a goal in mind, Chad as well.

Sucks that we will not get a update of a pic like this containing the Arrancar and Quincy girls.
But yeah, the Kubo real struck gold with the shinigami, especailly with the females.

Bleach is 4/10
Naruto is 5/10

Attached: shiba.gif (165x225, 264K)

Yes, but he's the apex of special. I'll put him up against anyone.

Attached: rangiku bounce.gif (264x390, 462K)

>literally calls the guy who was basically responsible for his parents death THE COOLEST GUY
Naruto was a fucking idiot, and an unbearable MC. The entire cast of team 7 was, except for Kakashi. The fact that Bleach didn't have it's own Sakura/Sasuke makes it the better series.

Naruto literally turn out to be the reincarnation of jesus

>The fact that Bleach didn't have it's own Sakura/Sasuke
Icefag and Orihime.

Rukia is closer to Sakura than Orihime, but the real Sakura of the series was Isshin.

Attached: did that on purpose.gif (500x281, 939K)

Oh fucking please. Orihime was nowhere near as terrible as Sakura. Majority of the Orihime hate came from shipping bullshit anyways, and her "Kurosaki-kun" during the HM arc, mostly because of the anime; sure people hated that she was healer in a battle shounen, but majority of her hate was centered on shipping. On the other hand, Sakura hate came from the fact that people found her genuinely mean, found her constantly claiming/wanting to be on Naruto/Sasuke-level but falling short every single time to be annoying, and found her love for Sasuke to be ridiculous, which by the way, they were. Icefag is annoying, but nowhere on Sasuke-level annoying.

>Our resident Himefag is chimping out again.

Favorite cover?

Raise your paw if you thought Fullbring was actually better than the vast majority of arcs in this shit manga.

You know, if it wasn't for Momo there, Hitsugaya would not have reached the level of popularity he had.
The power of shipping is amazing, even when it comes to secoundary characters.

barely any deaths on the good guys side

Arrancar arc was dragged out far too long
Fullbringer Arc should not have even been a thing

Still best girl

I don't know if it's just me but I had trouble following Bleach. It always seemed like a huge clusterfuck of random shit happening every week, and only after rereading a bunch of previous chapters (or reading summaries of previous chapters) could I remember the bigger picture.

Attached: C9WkYggVoAAsfMK.jpg (640x832, 146K)

It has nothing to do with Momo. Icefag as a character just works, he has the right traits and design.

>white hair
>light eyes
>prodigy
>serious, but has his cute scenes
>ice powers
>somewhat sad backstory, being an orphan and all

>Blond hair.
I prefer the anime version.

It's one of those changes I'm never used to seeing

Attached: C9zgRCKXsAI6fbE.jpg (640x832, 107K)

Too bad his fights are shit and wastes pages.

Attached: DK-x6kvWsAA9-4Q.jpg (1199x725, 128K)

the fullbring villains motivation was the most fucktarded motivation i have ever had the misfortune to read
the editor obviously had an off day to let that shit slide
made me finally drop the series

I don't like him either, but the nips love him and that's what matters.

I still don't understand what the hell Aizen did to her, to cause Gin to play the part of lackey for over a hundred years.

It didn't end with Gin succeeding.

Seriously, that would have been perfect.

Didn't end after the first soul societ act.

It's killing me that they are the main focus of the novel's second volume. Nobody asked for that.

Attached: ikumi.jpg (468x640, 37K)

I for one love the blonde...and tan...mmm best girl forever of all things.

Attached: rangiku tanned.jpg (577x768, 103K)

So was she a Shiba?

I unironically like Hueco Mundo, Karakura Town, and Fullbringer arcs. Yeah, Ichigo being a little bit of everything was awful but it was fun.

Have you watched/read other shonen series?

Me too desu. I feel like way too people took Bleach way too seriously instead of just enjoying the ride. There are genuinely well written shonen, but Bleach isn't one of them. Don't get me wrong, it has its fair share of great moments, but overall, it's mediocre.

She has all the personal character traits of one.
And a couple physical ones.

Attached: 1520148708736.png (795x1200, 1.47M)

Yes, that doesn't keep me from enjoying Bleach. I never said it was a masterpiece. It was fun.

No, but honestly her/Tatsuki could have passed for Shiba women since they basically have the same personality as Kuukaku. Plus they all have dark hair.

wish we could have seen more of toofsy. i thought the idea of the swapping powers with bach at night was neat. that haschwalth wears the "mask of the ruler".
also, would anyone happen to know what this whole bit meant? i was wondering if the translations were wrong or something. from chapter 543 "letters".
its when bach announces that ishida will be his successor. bazz-b gets mad that haschwalth isnt trying to take the position for himself. another sternritter interrupts the would be fight and in the process, he calls haschwalth "next emperor". why would he call him that if bach just said the next emperor, after himself, would be ishida?

Attached: 543nextemp.jpg (800x1145, 106K)

The Quincy arc left a lot of unanswered questions, but this might have just been the Sternritters being utterly retarted.
They actually were surprised their psychopathic leader had no problem vaporizing them, when they knew of their enitre existance was just to die for him.

It's just Kubo throwing stuff around. He does that all the time. Mostly because I think he has multiple ideas and tosses them on pages and goes with what sticks the most.

>Was shocked when Yhwach sucked up their powers.
>Was frightened when the world was about to end when Yhwach killed the Soul King.
I don't think Yhwach was honest with them.

Attached: 000.jpg (665x1100, 131K)

The guy purged the shit out of most the race when he woke up. Hell, he thanked that quincy who could transform into other people by turning him into a crater.
They were either stupid, or Kubo forgot that the Sternritters were written as super zealots who would be happy to take a bullet for their master.

he was, kinda. remember when robert accutrone died? he explained to the girls that the sternritters were created "literally" for his majesty; so they may be killed or absorbed at his whims.
haschwalth seemed surprised but was happy, as he believed his power would help bach.
the whole holy selection thing is really inconsistent too. some users hit by it die straight up, reduced to bones. others die months later, others minutes later. how does it work? who knows.

>the whole holy selection thing is really inconsistent too. some users hit by it die straight up, reduced to bones. others die months later, others minutes later. how does it work? who knows.
Some fans theorize that the full-blooded Quincies from birth get turned to bones when Yhwach activates auswählen while the ones that were regular people before Yhwach gifted them his power just die normally. So Robert and Gerard were probably true Quincies.

Stark died.

Idiot deserved it.
Moron actually started to fondly remember the other Espada as "friends" when he died like a chump.

Having bad friends is better than no friends.

>Having bad friends is better
It ain't. It ain't better than anything.

It was said that Yhwach saw and treated the Quincies like they were his children and they practically worshiped him like a king/god. But we were never really shown examples of how Yhwach treated them before the Blood War, it might have been drastically different before his plans finally came into fruition. He killed one of the Arrancars in his ranks for starting an argument with another because he "hates conflict" and killed the other one when he started talking like he knew how the war would start. Yhwach probably held a facade to hide his malicious nature.

Tasty- desu Kubo should've just started making porn starring his Bleach characters, his art would make it godly.

>Moron actually started to fondly remember the other Espada as "friends" when he died like a chump.
Really?
