Wasn't there a report from a while back the Super was going to have 132 episodes, and one got cut? Was that ever confirmed. Because that montage at the end seemed unusually well animated, when Toei (in their infinite laziness) could have just used still.

nah the omni kings never planned to erase the universes at all it was a clever ruse. they forsaw that the last man standing would have enough goodness within them to bring back the other universes.
however they were actually considering erasing all the universes if the last wish wasn't to bring back the other universes. so i guess this might have been a test.

Yes this is why the multiverse wasn't erased in Future Trunks' timeline until Zamasu showed up. At the end of everything, Goku was the one that caused this massive problem for everyone. Goku is partly responsible for the deaths of gorillions of innocents in U4 and U6 Namekians who fused together to make the ultimate fighters.

Man DBZ super felt like a super cliche, feel-good, sing-along. It was as standard shounen as it gets. Almost disney-movie status.
10 years ago I probably would have thought this was cool, but I hope the next series is more gritty and has some bigger tension and hardships involved.

Holy fuck the animations and fight choreography were actually really really solid. Why the fuck couldn't the entire tournament be like that? Notice how hits were dealing damage to all 3 of them there was not ATATATATA and they were in a giant scramble to end it on both ends.
