As Fate Extella and Fate Grand Order have told us...

youtube.com/watch?v=_WycGcc_Tdc

as Fate Extella and Fate Grand Order have told us, the World every 100 years makes predictions on Humanity in every active timeline in the next 100 years. It does this because the Universe and all its timelines have a finite amount of energy to draw from, and if timelines were allowed to propagate without end, the Universe would run out of energy, by their predictions, in a century.

If Human civilization collapses, either through being destroyed or advancing too much too quickly that they stagnate, that timeline is 'cut off' from the rest and is no longer supplied energy or given protection by the Counter Force. It focuses on the 'Trunk' of the 'Tree of Time', as opposed to the 'Branches'.

These cut off universes are called 'Lost Belts'.

And they are our enemy for Fate/Grand Order: Cosmos of Lost Belt. Heroes, Gods and individuals from these cut off timelines are invading and attacking the main timelines, the Greater History of Man, in order to overthrow this Foundation that leaves them to die. They want Humanity to propagate freely and so they we destroy the World, break this Foundation, send everything back to the Age of Gods and rule the Reborn World of Humanity. Leaving nothing at all because the energy will still run out. Thermodynamic Equilibrium will be achieved

And the Universe will Freeze.

These Lost Belts are also considered 'Hard Mode' compared to what we have faced before, as in these cut Timelines, more often then not, the Heroes are born through War and Chaos. They come from harsh environments. And you know what they say about Survival of the Fittest.

Which is probably why they are a bit peeved that they will still die despite their strength.

How does it feel, secondaries who never played Extra games and FGO?

This is the very peak of Type-Moon.
And you are missing it.
You don't even understand what's going on in Nasuverse with your outdated FSN / Tsukihime knowledge.

Fate is dead.

That's just one of them making shit up. Shimosa was a lostbelt and wasn't special at all when your Fuuma can over shit. Musashi is a Lostbelt Servant too. Most certainly they'll be hard because of the Crypters' grail influence, not because they are hot shit.

Where's that stupid vampire saber when the Earth is in danger?

Well the source of that statement is a Tamamo who is presumably from a lost belt herself, so I think you're supposed to take it with a grain of salt.

That is literally the plot of Rewrite. Are you fucking telling me Type-Moon is copying KEY?

>If Human civilization collapses
>through advancing too much too quickly that they stagnate

>achieve paradise
>get pruned

Fate is a shitty universe. And fuck extella.
Also fuck that phone game by default.

Everything I read about it convinces me it's unmitigated trash and Nasu's early work was a fluke.

Having kids with Sensei!

In a dead timeline along with Tsukihime 2 apparently.

That's not Scathatch.

Sorry, I've reached the point that the moment I try to read neo TM content my eyes just glaze over. Post more Scat Hatch or something, I just don't care anymore.

Still pure after all that bug fucking

So apparently Waver is the strongest servant in the game? I haven't been using him at all. Maybe I should go into those shitty /vg/ threads.

"Strong" isn't exactly the right word, since he can't do shit on his own. His skills just build up your other servants' NP so quickly that it's outright game breaking. If you combine him with Tamamo, whose NP reduces skill cooldown, you can basically have your third servant shoot off their NP every other turn (sometimes several turns in a row).

I got...

Waver,
Drake,
Emiya x2
Atalante
Fionn mac Cumhaill
Marie Antoinette
St. Martha
Lancelot

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I thought Redman was good, damn.

Use Robin Hood, Waver, and a Support Tamamo. You'll tear through everything.

No Tamamo, but I'm intrigued about this Robin of Loxley you speak of.

You use someone else's Tamamo as your third member.
>Robin Hood has an Arts NP that's one of the hardest-hitting in the entire game
>Tamamo and Waver have attack and Arts+ buffs that stack on him to make it do even more damage
>Waver sees to it that he and Tamamo can pop out their NPs constantly
>Tamamo's NP makes Waver's skills recharge regularly, along with her own Arts buff for Robin
>since all three of them primarily use Arts cards for everything, you'll also be constantly getting more NP

Having kids with not-Sensei!

oh duh.

I am not very smart.

So is it or is it not getting an anime? I want something like Carnival Phantasm this time without the cats.

Merlin is the best

humans are in danger not he earth

FGO went shit after Salem

I thought there was a movie already or something?

>nasu fluked out for a decade
No, he got worse.

The first Lost Belt chapter is coming out on April 4 (or probably 3rd in US time).

Emiya is good for crits after you do his skill strengthenings. (If you're playing the English game, those won't come out for a while yet.)

Not a full series, but a couple of OVAs. One was movie-length, if not movie-quality.

Nah America is actually pretty goat.

>Shimosa was a lostbelt

Douman takes time out to state explicitly that Shimousa is not a lostbelt. I have no bloody clue how this keeps getting repeated when the goddamn epilogue goes out of its way to go "An by the way, this has nothing to do with any of that purging stuff."

America was before Salem. There's honestly not much AFTER Salem to judge by yet, just the Part 2 prologue.

I used to be in love with TM, and I'm still kind of following for whatever reason, but this basically sums up how I feel now.

I hope EoR taught TM that the whole "Let the secondary writers do their stuff without supervision" was a terrible, terrible idea and that they should never be left off their leashes again.

My bad I saw it as the Roman one. For some reason.

How did you get the exact opposite meaning of what he said?

>Though it failed to appear in Chaldea, there is some good data left behind as a sample, isn't there?
>After all, I've finally succeeded in finding the lost history (Missing Belt)!
>...This Shimousa was originally twisted.
>A world that vanishes without being destroyed, in other words, a Pruning Phenomenon---
>---not at all. A parallel world? Well, fine. That's close, but it's slightly different.
>This is different. It's something different. This Shimousa is human history and yet not so.
>Gods from another star, observing this otherworld with their alien eyes---
>It is an otherworld that is falsely similar to a singularity!
>How is that, how is that! It would be an interesting case, wouldn't it, Satan-sama!
>Fufufufuhahahahahahahaha, no, no, no no! Even for a false name to begin with, it's just too ridiculous!
>For it to be Satan of all things! Haha. Though I intended it to be just a joke, it got a bit, well.
>Amakusa took quite the liking to that name. However, this Douman, too, went overboard with that little prank.
>My sincerest apologies, mine beloved lord---
>*********-sama.

So it's the Dark Knights Metal of Fate minus Batman(s). Got it.

How did Taiga go from this...

To this?

Because I can actually read the original text.

滅びずして消滅された世界、即ち剪定事象
---などではない。

The timing of those lines is important. The first line is left in suspense, and is negated by the second which is shown in a separate textbox. He's explicitly negating that world having anything to do with the pruning phenomenon and then goes on to speculate what it could be. A better translation would be "---No, it's not that."

That world is not getting purged, it's something else entirely, but the data is good as a sample case for what he's looking for. And for the record, the translation as a whole is shaky, the first line is meant to say that he failed because of Chaldea's intervention, but that the leftover data is good, not that something "failed to appear in Chaldea" which makes absolutely no sense in context.

Shirou moved away.

Then you know why it keeps getting repeated: Most Anons can't read moon.

Thanks for explaining!

She is a granddaughter of Yakuza boss you dumb secondary, what do you think.

Extella was a mistake.

Aso, this.

>Nasu's early work was a fluke.
Not a fluke. The George Lucas effect.
His early work was good because if it was a convoluted clusterfuck like his current work, nobody would've given a shit.
Now people will buy anything by Type-Moon so he can just throw in whatever shit he wants and nobody will question him because he was successful in the past.

The George Lucas effect is about a visionary's weak spots being covered by good executors until he assumes more-direct creative control. This is not the case with Nasu, who always wrote his own shit*, and is trying to relinquish more control, if anything.

*: With Takeuchi input, but that's still a thing.

Wasn't this already known back in December? What's new?

If failed timelines are pruned, why does last encore's 3020 timeline still exists? checkmate mushroom fuck.

Failed in moon cell's estimation is what we would consider utopia.
>umbral star did nothing wrong

Presumably it's a recap before the first Lost Belt comes out next week.

The timeline pruning concept that is tied to how humanity is developing is a fucking retarded idea. It literally makes mankind the center of the universe, which is kind of ridiculous especially when one considers that the Nasuverse previously treated humanity almost like a disease that is killing the Earth and which powerful forces in the universe try to destroy because of that. Also the fact that the universes get pruned whether humanity advances too fast or too slowly is also stupid and basically an arbitrary excuse to maintain the status quo and eliminate worlds that might diverge from what our own world is like.

You just explained why they are the antagonists. Good job, user.

What are you talking about? I'm complaining because the entire multiverse in Type Moon suddenly exists to foster human civilization, only that for some arbitrary reason it can't foster it too much and allow for a greatly advanced humanity and instead the end goal of the multiverse is for humanity to be like our world. I'm not saying that Nasu's kind of edgy "humans are killing the planet and must be stopped!" early setup was good, but suddenly turning 180 degrees and starting to suck humanity's cock is way too self-congratulatory.

>the entire multiverse in Type Moon suddenly exists to foster human civilization
no; read the material

>read the material

That's not an argument. How is the entire multiverse deciding whether to purge universes depending on how humanity is doing not making mankind the center of the multiverse?

>the entire multiverse deciding whether to purge universes depending on how humanity is doing
It doesn't. You people need to knock it off with this half-truth shit.

Worlds with human foundations are pruned on the bases of their development/state vis-a-vis the Tree's criteria. That is all. Human foundation worlds are not the only worlds that exist within the Tree.

>the end goal of the multiverse is for humanity to be like our world
Read. The. Fucking. Material.

That is in weak human order universes like Tsukihime, Fate is in a strong human order so everything sucks humanities dick.

Attached: 1522270371214.png (678x901, 448K)

But Avenger in Hollow Ataraxia talked about how the Earth is dying because humans are killing it, so the setup back then was much more similar to Tsukihime than the one we are getting now.

Surprise, Nasu has never felt beholden to consistency and the fact that people still try to piece together a fate canon is pointless.

>pruning too advanced worlds
Ahh the old famous japanese "nail that sticks gets hammered down" mentality.

The planet is not tied to the species, and vice-versa. This is one of the most important points of the Nasuverse. I don't know how anyone can have read anything by Nasu and not picked that up.

All this "Quantum Time-Lock" and culled timeline stuff was never even hinted at in the original work. It's clearly something they came up with after FSN was made.

The real question is where is the trunk growing towards that it must survive?

People are really dumb.

It's been over 10 years, the direct explanation of Ea is there, in plain text, and people still don't know what it does somehow. Notes has been around for how long? and even a cursory look at the wikia will let you know the key themes it brings which illuminates basically Nasu's entire view on this shit. And somehow people still don't get it.

What are the Tree's criteria? And why do you say that there are worlds with other foundations when dissimilar universes get pruned?

This stuff is extremely convoluted and doesn't really seem to serve a purpose other than to make a world that looks like our own the endpoint of the multiverse:
typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Quantum_Time-Lock

>Can understand OP more than I can understand NA FGO text

Jesus christ

>What are the Tree's criteria?
Gee, if only it were the case that Extella straight-up feeds you that fucking information in a lore dump.

>why do you say that there are worlds with other foundations when dissimilar universes get pruned?
Because you have no idea what you're talking about. Stop fishing for other people to explain the universe to you so that you don't have to do the reading; it's pathetic.

I don't quite see your point. Saber wasn't even female in the 'real original work'. There are no innate negatives of progression or evolution. If you want to say that you don't like a certain thing, just say "I don't like [thing]".

I just care about the porn

Attached: aj2018_pic01.png (758x814, 1.27M)

God, I hope the dude with huge cannon is Munchausen.

Nasu really stopped caring about his universe, huh? Seems like Lost Belt was created just to sell more alt 5*s and have more wacky power level creep.

FGO at it's inception already had that goal in mind. Lost Belt is just another chunk of shit in the sea of sewage.

Mmmm I want to mana transfer with Scathach

How is this fucking thread not deleted yet? I've reported it, more than once.

>I can't explain but I'm right !!!!!!! waaaaaaah waaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!
Nice job, I'm sure other user in now convinced you're not full of shit.

I hope it's not. Munchausen needs to be a cool old guy or at least genderbent to loli for full absurdity. And make it so she thinks she's a badass old guy.

Attached: baron munchausen.jpg (400x290, 23K)

>you're wrong but I won't say why!

Great argument. And why are you equating the differences between the original myths and Fate with the differences between different works in Fate? You'd expect much more internal consistency between different works in the same franchise.

Yeah, King Arthur falling in love with Japanese boy tiny penis, what a masterpiece.

I hope it's Napoleon

Hei dipshit
How about you stop being a condescending piece of shiet? the other guy at least is questioning a lot instead of making retarded affirmations
The information and clarification you want him to find is just in your head. This crap is pretentious and convoluted and it only makes sense in your head because you fill the holes with headcanon while disregard information that goes against your views

Very good post until
>This crap is pretentious
You all really need to comprehend that an anime can't be "pretentious" and that authors don't create thing to feel superior to you/to seem smart. That this buzzword is so popular show how insecure anons actually are.

Since when where you under the impression that intention matters?

I BET YOU THIS IS SOMEHOW ZELRETCH'S FAULT.

Attached: ZE.png (512x875, 401K)

Since I finished primary school.

It would be nice if it were so also it's fucking retarded that they never bring him up with this multiuniverse shit.

>actually caring about anything neoTM-related that isn´t porn

This

Actually get lost you fucking secondary newfag.

How would you define someone who follows TM only for doujins? Tertiary? Quorternary?

>World every 100 years makes predictions on Humanity in every active timeline in the next 100 years. It does this because the Universe and all its timelines have a finite amount of energy to draw from, and if timelines were allowed to propagate without end, the Universe would run out of energy, by their predictions, in a century.

So where the fuck are the rest of the planets in this? We know things like Velber exists so what makes earth and humanity so special? Also why wouldn't the akashic records just provided unlimited energy?
