DLC cases have already been confirmed to be Athena vs Klavier and Phoenix vs Edgeworth.
I'm betting it's something like in DD or PLvPW where your cohort becomes the one blocking your way on the last case because you haven't REALLY figured things out yet.
break out the cardboard prosecutor's badge
Feels like Maya and Trucy should have switched voices.
No those were the pre-order cases
There was an actual DLC case they haven't announced yet
Maya got a new voice I think, Maya's old voice actress does Ema now.
Looks like that could EASILY be the first case before Phoenix leaves for Kurain Kingdom.
A mock trial if you will.
Oh. I wonder how Capcom's going to deal with that with the digital releases in the West. Day one stuff, or do they expect peple to pre-order the digital release like Nintendo keeps trying to push?
Yeah, Maya's voice seems too deep for her character. I know she's older and all, but it still feels like a bad fit.
Wait, I got that the other way around. Ema got a new voice. Maya's the same one from previous Japanese trailers.
And I don't know how they'll do it. I hope they just include it as normal like they did with some of the DLC costumes in DD.
>Ema is voiced by Marina Inoue
Literally impossible for every other girl to compete.
>Phoenix and Apollo facing off in the same trial
Are you guys hyped for the cardboard prosecutor's badge?
It has been TWELVE years since Maya's last actual appearance in an Ace Attorney game.
So, I'm playing JFA for the first time and I'm on the last case.
What's up with Edgey being all helpful and nice and Phoenix hating his guts?
It gets explained.
Finish it and see.
Alternatively (legitimate spoilers here) Edgey quit his office to do some soul-searching after the events of AA1 and Phoenix felt he just ran away from his responsibilities and friends like a pussy.
also edgeworth kinda faked his death
i'd be pretty upset too if one of my friends did that
GUMSHOE
WHERE
I always figured that was one of those things that came through translation in a clumsy fashion.
It's either
a, a mock trial
b, a trial where that insufferable idiot Apollo is going to fuck everything up by pinning a murder on an innocent person and Phoenix has to become a temp prosecutor and kick his ass for the good of the law since Apollo won't see reason. Shades of AA2? More hamfisted character development for Apollo?
It was pretty clear, I thought.
The way Phoenix, Franziska and Gumshoe talked about Edgeworth throughout the game, it's clear they thought he really died. That note "Miles Edgeworth chooses death" was clear enough.
I honestly think Apollo could have retired as a protagonist at the end of 5. He could still show up, but he had a nice arc in that game.
Married to Maggey
aka dead
I don't like how the series is injecting supernatural shit and fanatsy technology. It's almost the norm to either have some sort of crazy gadget or some sort of supernatural powers.
I liked the original trilogy the most, outside of Maya's channeling powers every character was a normal human being, the whole thing was more beliveable. With the later games every character is some sort of fucking meme and that new prosecuter is horrible.
From everything that was implied (the English subtitle "Spirit of Justice", the fact Phoenix fucked off to another country, that mysterious green magician, etc.) it seems they're still going to wrap up some loose ends with Apollo. I'm guessing Ema will find out somehow that Apollo and Trucy are siblings.
>Apollo and Trucy find out their related after Franziska sends Phoenix the "Nick" card from the Engarde case
This "anyone can just switch jobs whenever they want" meme has gone too far.
It was funny when Edgeworth did it, ridiculous when Godot did it, and now it's just insane.
If it took place in the spirit kingdom, I could see them letting him go, but that was the normal courtroom.
Though they could have done that to prevent spoilers like the Edgeworth trailer taking place outside of the bombed out courtroom last game.
will you protect this poor, helpless girl?
What if you have to play as both Apollo and Phoenix when they square off???
Yes, and her panties too.
That would be stupid.
What if the mistakes you make are impossible to change and your ending depends on who wins the trial, resulting in either Maya or Athena being kill?
I reload. That ending would be called a game over.
What do I get in return?
She'll do your taxes, cook your food, call you daddy, and effectively run all your businesses + do all other administrative work while you do your best to recover from your life crisis.
I want to see Franziska again. Would Capcom bring her back?
What about sex?
you get to take off her magic panties and see them vanish as you plow through her
She's literally younger than Pearl you pervert.
It's okay I have a good lawyer
There are a fuck ton of loose ends to tie up from Apollo's own game. Hell, in AJ:AA, Apollo was meant to be Phoenix's successor since his time was over, though Dual Destinies screwed him over big time. He got character development, but really, that arc of his wasn't much. It was definitely more about Phoenix and Athena (hence the game's name) than anything.
The first game is still my favorite because it's a bit more down to earth (excluding the spirit stuff) than the rest. Now it feels the games just try to be wackier than the last.
This has been the case since Luminol.
Yes, if only cause I want to cum inside her.
Phoenix was already talking about getting his badge back in AJ's credits.
I agree, this is also why I liked DGS, aside from some cooky inventions by loli Watson there was nothing particularly whacky or supernatural, and I'm a giant sucker for 19th century victorian England so there was that too. Too bad it will NEVER be translated.
Isn't there a translated patch floating around somewhere?
>ton of loose ends
Just the sibling thing
Which, to be honest, isn't the sort of thing I'd want AA to get dredged up in (though they should get it out of the way)
Same, the first game gave off a feeling of seriousness, whereas the other games have more of a friendlier/ laid back feel to them.
It's hard to explain, but the scenario's in the first game along with the music really had an impact on me over the other games. Phoenix was a rookie, no one was there to help you except Maya and Mia sometimes, and once you finally got to the fourth case it all felt hopeless, and the music reflected this amazingly.
Seriously, listen to the original cross examination theme and compare them to the others. The original gives off a feeling of desperation, confusion over what to do and how to do it, and that time is running out. Perfect for pretty much all the cases in the game.
KEK, they will NEVER EVER finish it user. You might as well learning moon
Does Kay's VR thing really bother people that much?
Edgeworth vs. von Karma V2
GET HYPE
>cohort becomes the one blocking your way on the last case because you haven't REALLY figured things out yet.
They already tried this in DD where Apollo became an edgelord and it contributed absolutely NOTHING to the story.
Apollo's entire character needs to either be reset or just scrapped at this point since they don't know what they want to do with him.
Apollo vs Klavier user
I have opposite feelings
I absolutely hate Spirit channeling as an excuse for murder
Mood Matrix and Bracelet are just for catching lies, and doesn't use supernatural to fuck the cave over in explanations
>wackier than the last
Not really, it's more that they are giving you bullshit case scenarios that you have to really solve because the killer became a planning genius
>Nothing
Apollo did it because Athena lied to him about the Knife that killed Terran, he ignored it at first till he realized that Wright hasn't gotten an inch of the same conclusion.
I'm getting strong PLvsAA vibes from that.
Apollo's already fine as a character, they don't have to do much other than put him in different scenarios which AA6 is focusing on
Apollo's perceive might as well be supernatural too, it's a bullshit lie detector that only he can do
Logic Chess was the same basic concept done better
Layton only did it because he purposely wants to explain everything and wants to see what conclusion Wright can come up with
That's Probablt Wright's intention, he knows something that he wants Apollo to end up explaning
He didn't bother talking to Phoenix about his concerns for no good reason
He goes off to investigate by himself, achieves nothing and accidentally enables others to connect events by ranting about Clay hard enough
>bullshit lie detector
You should go out more
People have body language, it's an exaggeration to a concept that already exists
Tells and body language are important to some cases like Poker
Localisation when
Its been anounced already user! They said NEVEREVER
Not necessarily
They simply said that AA6 has more priority
>Mood Matrix
>Apollos Tension shit
>Ema's annoying mini games
>additional magic shit
>magatama
>Regular Investigation looks as limited as in DD
this game will be a fucking mess
>>Regular Investigation looks as limited as in DD
But it's not. You can examine every screen in 2D like the first four games with the crime scenes being explorable in 3D like DD.
>that list
Is there anything you like in the games or are you just shitposting?
You must be fun at parties
There's nothing wrong with gameplay variety
It's good to know your up to date
The crime scenes are getting DD style investigations, because they work very well, everything else however is going back to the original investigation of pointing at anything the developers choose and give dialogue
Also Magatama was in JFA and T&T so your clearly full of shit
one or two of these mechanics are fine but this will be a convoluted mess where every mechanic will pop up once or twice and than never again.
All it will do is take away from the normal investigation and trials.
They should just go back to the basics instead of just adding more ontop of the worst game in the series.
Getting nervous in court = lying is a weak enough premise to justify my reasoning here. Needing evidence after the fact is irrelevant since it's always been correct anyway. It's a bullshit lie detector just like psyche locks, I can't see why you would be fine with one but not the other
You're speaking as if the normal investigations had interesting regular mechanics that will be undermined by adding these specific ones.
Trucy can do it too, as could Thalassa and Magnifi Gramarye.
Also, like said, the ability focuses on exploiting a person's body language.
Wow! We're getting Maya, yellow Maya, magician Maya, AND science Maya all in one game!
I do appreciate that they avoid having Phoenix use psyche locks during trials
Your being a little stingy
Trials and investigations have been the same since AA1
Adding new mechanics on top of basic trials and investigations is absolutely fine
You just think your being cluttered but it's really not when you followed the series up to this point
>on top of the worst game
DD's mechanics have nothing to do with it's flaws though
I didn't say I didn't like psyche locks though
I said I didn't like spirit channeling
It was never a lie detector though
Apollo never goes "HE DID A THING HE'S LYING" he pushes and explains to the witness why they did it and what they were thinking about
Atleast there were a penalty for choosing the wrong evidence in JFA and T&T
IIRC there weren't any in DD
>>Apollo's perceive might as well be supernatural too
A genetic mutation that makes someone better at reading body language is pretty mundane for AA standards.
The most magical thing about it is the bracelet.
...
AA1 had hands-down the best music in the series.
youtube.com
Listen to this shit.
I'm surprised that Maya doesn't look more used to it.
...
...
...
>still no thief maya
Yeah
But that has nothing to do with DD's mechanics
Again, DD's flaws were about casualization, removal of options and some writing stiffs
It's own Mechanics were fine
They already confirmed it is harder than DD when they first announced it
>Ryuuichi vs Odoroki
Muh dick.
Who /Apollo/ here?
Hopefully their incredibly bad luck cancelled each other out and they won big time at powerball
My life is complete
>preorder cases
What the fuck
Can you get them after the initial release? What's the plan for the west?
Notice how the note read as "Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death". This, according to me at least, could mean that the old Edgeworth that sought only a guilty verdict was dead, and replaced with a new Edgeworth who now sought the truth.
>Still no Gumshoe
Suffering
IS THAT A NEW MISSILE?
Don't worry user, he'll return :)
as the victim of AAI3-1
...
Sprites were better. This looks like a cheap knock-off.
I think that's what they were going for.
someone call Takumi. these fanfic are going too far
